meganmacg: well once you know let me know... in the meantime you can try to go on:
three double v. aufeminin . com / idees-prenom . html
(erae the space between)
Then you select if you want for a girl a boy or unis_x, the length of the name, if it's in fashion at the moment and its popularity.
Lots of US websites I have been on give really weird French names such as Germaine which was fine for our great grand mother but not for your daughter....
CourtneyHope: I like the names you've chosen but in France everybody will laugh at us if we call our baby Hope or Robert.... Robert is consider to be very old fashioned (man ar. 60 and above) and for Hope we don't usually give such name as Hope or Joy.
I really enjoy looking for the different ways of naming babies in different countries.

OK I need your help Denise (Or anyone)! We are having 2 boys, your or anyone help with a name that starts w/a K (or maybe a "C" ends with an N and is a boy irish name? The websites, books, etc give Keenan, Keegan, hubby doesn't like those. Does anyone think it'd be bad to name both boys with same 1st letter and last letter the same? "N" letter endings just sound cool w/ our Giltinan last name:) HELP! Had my 22 wk u/s yest, everybody is growing great, and my cervix is still plenty long and coorporating, yeah. Now if my BP will just lower itself back to normal, that'd cut my risk for more bed rest!

Hey Comommy. I think Oc7's list has some good ones. Cian (pronounced Keen) is lovely. My sons name is Kian. I love Ciaran (Keer-on) and Culann (cullen), named after one of the Celtic Heroes Cuchulainn.

Wow, lots has gone on since I've posted last. Courtney and oc, brightest blesssings at your u/s. I am now 22w1d and everything is moving along great. Payslie has her active days, but then she also has some very lazy ones too. Doctor says she's growing right on schedule. Haha, she doesn't like her HB being taken though...she kicks at the doc everytime she takes it. :) Even though my due date is 3/5, I talked w/my doc on Wed and I think I'm going to schedule a repeat c-section at 39 weeks. If I go into labor on my own before then, I will VBAC, but I am just getting so excited to meet her. Oh, BTW, I love all the names being tossed around.

Elodie thanks for all the names! It doesn't have to be Irish specifically, celtic or scottish are good, but roots are from ireland. I love Caden, but 1st son is Braeden, might get confusing:) We basically want endings in "n" b/c it sounds cool w/Giltinan. Also, thinking about doing a 1st letter "c" and "d" since our son is "b" and dd Annika is "a" then we could go a,b,c,d LOL! (maybe dh would let me do a baby "e" chance at a girl for my dd LOL! doubt it though. I still like Kierran, Kian is great too, also thinking about Cameron and Darren (mom loves Donovan-I think it's awful long to shout out hey "donovan stop it :)) (can't find if thouse are Irish?) Thankfully I have some more moths (hopefully) to decide.

Happy 5 days after halloween everyone! I was dressed as a pumpkin, the outfit barely fit, and it sure did look round! My waist is 50 in around now, and i'm 5'1, so when the rapid growth phase starts, I very may be wider than I am tall. Congrats to everyone so far, I can' t wait until these guys are born, )I can wait to Feb, hoping I make it that long!)

Comommy,
well if they don't have to be Irish specificly, here is the website where I found them:
3W . arbre-celtique.com/approfondiss____nts/prenoms/pr_liste.php?presel=1&prerec=c&pretyp=1&predep=0
Here are ones started with "C" but then you can choose an other starting letter
it's in French but I guess you can figure out that:
Irlande=Ireland
Ecosse=Scotland
Pays de Galle=Wales
Bretagne=Brittany (NW of France where they do speak a variant a cleti and geallic)
Celte=Celtic
Cornouaille = Cornwall (SE of England)
(M) = male
(F) = female
page suivante = next page
page précédente = previous page
You can click on the name in yellow it will give you the reference name and sometimes the definition.
I found this site very useful and I even my son's name thanks to it.
Cameron is, according to the website, Scottish. Though I was pretty sure Donovan was Irish but I can't find it.
Hope this help,
Elodie

Hi everyone. I'm a newbie here but I've been reading all your responses -- just thought I'd chime in this time. I'm due on March 28th with a girl. We're very happy. This is my second pregnancy - I had a missed miscarriage with my first at 12 weeks. Everyday I just hope for the best and pray that God has chosen me to raise and love this little girl. Nice to meet all of you.
