grr...I just wrote a long blog, addressing everyone personally, and the stupid thing crashed...sorry ladies...the first blog was much longer..lol...welcome to all the new ladies, hope everyone is doing well...I just went for my nuchel exam in Glasgow on monday...my little "darling" did not want to perform for the camera..lol...the tech had my wiggling on the table to get the baby to move, and then I had to walk around for 20 minutes and bounce..lol..we did finally get a few shots..but what amazed me was to see both perfect little feet (little footprints)..and a little hand waving, then the baby started sucking its thumb...its so weird because i'm not showing at all, and yet there is this little person inside me..(in fact it just kicked me to remind me its in there..lol)...also my sickness seems to be going finally (I hope)...but still pretty tired...(could be the 14 hour day I just pulled)...i'm working until I have the baby..and fortunatly for me here in the UK, they have a national health care system so its free...(i'm still paying my daughter off in the states)

llukenjess, yeah I will be working till I pop too, then dont know from there, will have to check the money situation and then decide from there if I come back straight away... Oh really, that would be definately hard to deal with but fingers crossed hitting that 12 week mark is a good sign. I just had my first scan this morning and everything is good so I am pretty happy about that, just been showing off the pictures. Made it feel more real that yep this is definately happening to me.. It was an amazing thing to see, tho it wouldnt do exactly as the ultrasound lady wanted so made things a bit difficult but yeah.. Made me lean towards it was a boy cause it was being stubborn haha..

Is anyone else a stay at home mom??? I worked up til the day I had my daughter (well I got induced Sunday because of my water bag leaking) and DH and I decided I could stay home. I am SOOO tired though, my daughter is teething and is up every hour...sometimes 2 hours and I get no sleep at all at night. I wonder if I will ever sleep lol, but if it makes my daughter happy I will do it. I heard the babies heartbeat on tuesday, it is 150 and I am so happy...that sound gives you so much rea__surance

k8mc i know wut you mean about the money situation....i live in new jersey so i think i'll be able to get short term disability and or maternity leave paid for by the state which would really help alot but i think it's only for about 6 or 8 weeks...have to checkinto it a little bit more. My fingers are crossed too!! i guess after hitting the 12 week mark the %age goes down a hole bunch for m/cing. my next doc visit is march 27, and from there i will schedule my nest ultra sound and i will find out what it is. i think it's a boy too!!!! :-)

Nerdy. Im gonna be a stay at home mom after the baby is born. im nervous about it. was it hard to quit working? im practically a work-a-holic and an worried about getting bored or something being home alone with a baby all day. But at the same time, i would hate to have to put him in daycare everyday too. i want to be there for everything!!

Hi ladies, Im due around the 28th of September, this is our second, our first will be 2 1/2 by the time this one is here. I havent grown at all, nothing, but I guess thats good. I get my second Ultrasound tomorrow, that for all that testing..I dont care about the results, I just want to see the baby again! I was able to hear the heartbeat at 10 weeks with the doppler that was great! Its reasurring when you dont feel pregnant this early. We are against finding out the s_x, but it sounds like we're alone on this. I dont think you can be any more prepared wether its a girl or boy, you just might have more pink and blue things thats all, every baby needs the same neccesities, but I know how hard it is not knowing for some people. My friend just had her second yesterday and it was so excited waiting to hear what it was, we all thought it was going to be a girl and low and behold out comes another boy!! Since we didnt know what we were having with our first either, we have a ton of neutral baby clothes for the beggining. Anyways, we'll be talking to you ladies soon!

nerdy-girl, I will be a stay at home mom. I am right now and have been out on maternity leave for about 6 months now, going back April 7th. Ugh. But since I'm due sept. I'm going back to work for only 3 months or so and it might feel good to get the paycheck and keep my benefits right now. I'm getting used to the fact that I have to go back for a little bit and I'm trying to loook at the bright side...while he's in daycare, maybe he'll have fun and I can get a bit of a break until I'm home with 2 babies. Don't get me wrong, I'm going to miss being home with him like crazy, but might be a good break. I have an easy baby too. How old is your daughter that she's teething?? I'm a little nervous about that one...

alirenee86 - March 13

llukenjess...you're from New Jersey?? Me too!!! Since I just had a baby last year, I can tell you that the state only gives 'short term disability' as your maternity leave and it's about 2 weeks before you give birth and 6 weeks after if you have a v____al birth. Next to nothing I know but it's way more than most states from what I understand. I think California, Rhode Island, NY and one other state give the state benefit at all. Other than that, unless your job offers a supplemental disabitily that you already have, you'll only get paid from the state a max of $533 a week. Or $508, something like that. What part of New Jersey?? We live in Holmdel in Monmouth County. Just moved from Bergen County last year...

elizhope, I was always a workaholic too and worried about being bored. For me, I can't even tell you what I do all day every day and the days fly by. I'm not bored at all and loving being home.

Nerdy_Girl_10242006 - March 13

At first I was bored, but then I adjusted really well. I have a ton of nephews and nieces...so I started going to school lunches with him. Then since at first I was b___stfeeding, I had that chance to do that. I now am a bit tired of being home..but not cause of my daughter, but because everything smells lol But I love it, I seen her roll for the first time, I seen every milestone, and she is such a mommies girl, I love it. She is 6 months old. I'm glad she finally got a tooth. Her gums swelled and went down for a month now...so glad it popped out and didn't go back in. I enjoy being with her. I worked and enjoyed work at some times, depending on the day and well I was in college and dead set on getting a career by having a paid internship at night schooled through out the day and worked full time. Its all on hold now, but I feel raising my daughter will help me. I have only been away from her twice for 2 hours each time in the last 6.5 months. She is extremely clingy, wants me for everything...BUT I have just as much seperating issues as she does lol I cried both times I left her

Im really excited about not having to drive an hour each way 5 days a week. But I will be working all the way up until the baby comes. Its gonna be hard to be 8 months preggers in Texas heat this summer!

Nerdy_Girl_10242006 - March 13

Oh I know, I didn't have a one hour drive but it was about 45 minutes. I absolutely hated it. I worked 3 towns away. It gets hot here but not as hot as texas, I send you a cool breeze when you need it, I think I would die if I lived in the desert like them one people

alirenee86 - March 14

Yeah, I think Texas would get to hot for anyone pregnant! I've been out to Arizona and it's just such a totally different heat than on the east coast. Wonderful hair days out there though, I must say :) Humidity definately sucks, but I actually enjoyed last summer being pregnant! I loved wearing flip flops and shorts and baby doll tops and having my shades on by the pool. It felt good to me a lot of times! Crazy, I know.
