I'm constantly hungry too guys, you're not alone. I'm eating a big bowl of brocoli cheddar soup right now mmmmmmm!!! I get the restless legs too, but only when I'm sitting around watching tv - when I go to bed they settle. sometimes i have to go up early b/c my legs are driving me crazy and I can't get comfortable. so far our bed is the remedy!!! ok, off to eat my soup :) be back soon

Mmmmmm, rice cake. Really hits the spot. I'm just gonna tell my doc to stop weighing me and that we both know I'm just gonna be fat. Thank goodness for losing that 30 lbs last summer so I could get knocked up, put it back on plus some extra. I think I am gonna talk to my 'rents tonite about maybe shackin up with them. There is always stings attached with those two though. Maybe I'll just start crying. Hey, it worked with the dentist getting him to take payments.

Hi august moms. I haven't been on in forever. Just wondering if everyone is registered for their shower already. I need some opinions. My aunt wants to buy me either a video monitor or a glider. I don't think anyone else will buy me the other item because of the price. If you had to choose between the two, which one would you go with? It's a tough decision. Thanks so much!

mommaminchey - April 30

I would say glider- but im a first time MOM. wait and see what ekay or cnas says.

ekay03 - April 30

I would go for the Video Monitor. Never used either, but I would go for the video monitor. My friends had one and they could be in any room and take the video monitor with them and be able to know she was breathing. Can't take a glider from room to room.

anamariaflorencia - April 30

Thanks for your quick responses ekay and minchey. Good points. Ekay, did you b___st feed? I thought the glider would be good for that. My friend has a video monitor and her baby is 2 yeras old and she still uses it daily to keep track of his sleep. So I guess the video monitor has a longer life. But I also think it's important to have a comfy place to nurse baby. Any more opinions?

Hello everyone... so I was wondering if anyone else reads the posts about what someone is eating (Gabby with the broccoli cheddar soup, particularly) and then can't get that item out of their head to eat it? I just had brown rice and chicken and shrimp with vegetables... it was delicious and I WAS full until I read about the soup and I want that soup! My husband is soo funny bc when I tell him about a craving he always says, ooh that sounds good! and then we usually go get it at the store or go out to eat bc neither of us can get it out of our minds! He's such a sport! My new fave thing to eat (and healthy too) is a greek wrap... hummus, lettuce, kalamata olves, feta cheese (pasteurized don't worry), tomoatoes wrapped in a tortilla with oil... it is sooo dang good! I am a pretty healthy eater, but every once in a while I eat c___p... but mostly bc it's there! I was not a skinny girl, but in great shape... my husband on the other hand is thin and in shape! Lucky guy he is! Anyways, we start our birthing cla__ses tonight! So excited... the Bradley Method is the cla__s. Anyone else doing birthing cla__ses? My MIL is throwing me a shower in 4 weeks, with just my inlaw side and a few friends! I will have a birthday party once the baby is here! That way we will know the s_x then and you really don't need a lot of things besides the $$$ pricey items, for the first few weeks anyways! I hit the 3rd tri a week from today and get another u/s at the same time... can't wait to see the baby again!

Hey everyone.... So last night I was laying in bed and Mason was being ever so still. well Jeremy came and laid down and started talking and put his hand on my belly and said "Mason move for Daddy". And wouldn't you know it... He did... 5 times.... Jeremy was so exicted.... It was the sweetest thing.

hieeee guys! alicia, that's sweet. I feel like me and casey have this psychic connection or something. no joke, every time I consciously think she hasn't moved in a while, within 1 mintue she moves, every time!! boodah, yes, I do the same thing! people around me know better than to talk about food!!! b/c I'll want it! we actually just signed up for a birthing cla__s. we weren't originally going to do it b/c it costs $200 bucks and is 3 sessions, but then we thought it might be helpful so we know basically how things will go when we go into labor. plus, it gives you a parenting cla__s and that might be helpful too, ya know??? my shower is june 8th, so about in a month too!!! I just got the cutest dress (again at my fav store anthropologie) for my shower!! let's hope this time I actually wear it! and anamaria, I'm going with the monitor for you. I didn't register for a glider b/c all my girlfriends have thiers in their closets/bas____nts and say it's only useful in the begining. I just thought $400+ to pay for something I'd only use the first year or so was a waste. just my opinion!! I think a good monitor is a necessity!

anamariaflorencia - May 1

Thanks gabby. I think I agree with you and will go with the monitor. I might try to pick up a used glider from craigslist or something. I have a dress for my shower too. Mine will be June 14th. I've wanted to wear the dress a lot lately but I'm still too small for it. I know when I get bigger I'll have nothing to wear and will probably wear that dress every day. :) So I'll save it until then. Do other people have pictures of their bellies? People tell me I look great for being 5 and a half months pregnant...but I'm not sure what that means. Does it mean that I don't look pregnant?

anamariaflorencia - May 1

Minchey, that is so sweet. Was the at the first time your DH felt lo? We've been lucky. Dh and others have been feeling her for over a month now. I didn't think I was that thin that we'd get to feel her so early. I'm thin but I carry all my fat on my abdomen. My grandpa's nickname for me (from before I was pregnant) has always been an orange with four toothpicks sticking out of it.

softbreeze200 - May 1

momma!! That is adorable! Our little stinker is the total opposite! She will be moving like crazy while I am laying on the coach at night and I willtell Wyatt to hurry and come feel her, so he boots over and as soon as he touches me she stops! What a bugger! Poor guy :( TOk, so does anyone wake up in the mornings with a big build up of gas? Feels liek I stomach is so hard and full it kinda aches until I get up and "empty it" . Just wondering if this is a noraml preggers thing or if it is just me?

anamariaflorencia - May 1

Shower registiry. You're opinion ladies. Do you think it's important to register for outfits, onesies, pj's, swaddlers, towels, blankets? I didn't because I just a__sume people will pick those up anyway. What has your experience been? I just went to a shower where the mom had 13 pages of registry, tons of clothes and toys and because of that, didn't get ANY of her big ticket items. No high chair, carseat, bouncer, swing, playpen...none of that. Just clothes, toys and blankets.
