I had a garage sale this weekend and cleaned out the remaining of what was the guest room and will now be the babies room! :) My husband and I decided to do hardwood flooring in the babies room. He completed it yesterday and it looks sooooo good! We plan on getting a large area rug as well. I am so excited about the room! A friend of ours is painting a rainforest mural for us as a baby gift! He is an awesome artist down here in Florida and has a great sense of what we want... frogs, toucans, geckos and monkeys! That should be done by the end of April... then its furniture time!

Hello my little Pregnant Princesses. Mission accomplished for the tanning this weekend. Instead of ghastly white, I'm like a dark white now. :-) I did learn a few things over the weekend that I feel it is my duty to share with you guys. 1) Unless you are an overly confident, completely self a__sured individual, do not go to the beach 6 months pregnant when there are bounds of skinny whores who've never squeezed a pup out in her life. 2) There is a strong connection between being 6 months pregnant and being a 3 year old. For example, if you miss naptime, you become very cranky and it is very easy to cry for no reason. 3) Drunk people become very annoying when you are 6 months pregnant. You're friend staggering up to you saying "Man, I am so f*cked up" only makes you want to hit them and walk away. 4) When you lie out facing the sun in its approximate 2:00pm position, your belly will create a shadow and only half will get tanned. It will make you look very odd when naked. 5 ) There is no limit to the amount of c___p you can eat while on the beach. Especially when you are bored and everyone is drinking. Just think of it as trying to 'keep up'....for every beer they drink it another cookie you eat. Aaaannnnnd last but certainly not least 6) While as 8 months ago, your good friend commenting on how small your stomach is would be an extremely gererous compliment, at 6 months pregnant, it is the worst insult a person could give. And that is what Erin learned over the weekend. I am going the bikini route this summer mommam, and I really don't care (unless of course, you refer to number 1 above!) Even at my skinniest, I still wear shorts with a bikini top, so that's what I'm doing this year too. I got the top on sale for $4 at target. Can't beat that c___p! Gabbi, when are you gonna put some pics up of this masterpiece ya'll are creating on the weekends? I wanna see. Good to hear from you guys Leah and Katie! That's funny about the baby kicking your husband in the head. Sometimes I wish I could kick my husband in the head and blame it on the baby. I kid, I kid. Keep every body part you can cross crossed- my husband calls in one hour for this offshore job.

woohoo! i logged in from home! about time! how was everyones weekend, mine was stressful, as me and hubby tried to work things out and i think we did, he's even been more lovey to me, which is weird, lol. i am glad i have a group of girls to talk to. this baby i swear is gonna kick out from my behind! it feels so weird, she kicks SO hard, i swear shes huge! i was sitting in my history cla__s the other day watching a video and she kicked so hard i jumped out of my chair almost, i was slightly embarra__sed, lol.

cnasmom - April 14

ekay thats hilarious, i am big anyway, so i am terrified to go the beach. ill look like a beached whale, lol. but then they found an alligator at rough river where i take my kids all the time, 6'4" long! they killed it. but what is an alligator doing in KY??? i am scared to take my kids now. but i have a stethescope at home i bought last semester, and i finally heard the babys heartbeat!! so sweet! my husband heard it too, very faint but it was def hers very fast.

ekay03 - April 14

Mommam, those pics of your husband on your myspace are freaking hilarious. That baby is gonna look literally like a Ken doll in his huge hands! I was looking at your family pics and your cats look exactly like my cat Kenya. I think she's beautiful, but my husband says she looks like something someone would throwup. Cnasmom, I am so glad that things are better with your hubby. I know that these things are a constant battle and from personal experience, things can be really good one week and really bad the next. My husband and I sought counseling for how to handle the bad weeks. For some reason there would just be times when we would argue and fight for no reason. We and especially I had learned there are just some things that aren't worth fighting over (for example, he sucks at housework and I used to b___h up a bluestreak about how he never helped, but then we realized he's great at distracting the kids so I can at least get it done without being bothered. Plus he never did it right anyways!) But my point is, sometimes when there is a third party involved to point out both of ya'lls errors and ways to fix it, it can help. Or if you are involved in a church, most offer free counseling.

cnasmom - April 14

yeah, we probably need counseling, but right now, we can't afford it, which is actually where a lot of our problems are, money. but hopefully it will get better. he also told me the other night he thought i would leave him after i got out of school and didn't need him anymore! his mom didn't raise him and his dad is a drunk, so he was raised by his grandparents, who had a houseful of kids already. so i think he just thinks everyone is gonna leave him. i tried to tell him im not. not unless this stuff doesn't stop and i todl him if that was the case it would be well before i got out of school. i wish he would just open up more...

mommaminchey - April 14

Well Ekay i am glad you atleast got a shade darker...lol. Your experiences this weekend are hilarious and I couldn't stop laighing. I am at the point where idk if people can tell I'm pregnant or think I am just fat... So I kinda try and stick my belly out...lol.But this whole pregnant thing isn't all it's cracked up to be. My back is really taking a beating and I am so tired by the end of the day... I just need a strong drink.... really strong. But I guess I will wait till after he is born. Do u think it's okay to drink in the hospital??? LOL. I love the picture of Jeremy trying on the baby thing. Everyone thinks its so funny. I am def a cat person Erin. My cats are my other babies... idk how they will do when Mason gets here.... Oh and Gabbi my real name is Alicia. If you would prefer to call me that. I forgot to tell you last week.

ekay03 - April 14

Ooohhh, Mommam, my kitties might as well have come out of my womb. My husband literally used to be jealous of them and say I loved them more than him. I raised Kenya since she was a day old and she is the one that likes to get under the covers with me at night and curl up next to Creedence. All I have to do is rub my middle finger and thumb together and I have all my cats surrounding me. It's like some weird cat call they've all come accustomed to.

mommaminchey - April 14

That's so cute. My oldest is almost 1.5yrs old and my ex got her for me as a house warming gift. Her name is Dixie Mae. The other one who is 1yr old I got her on a camping trip. Her mother and brothers and sisters were eaten by a dog and she was the only surviver. So i took her home and her and i are very close. She is almost 16lbs. Very big girl and she loves her momma. They look like they are sisters but they are from 2 diff states. I love their coloring too. Daisy is the fat one and she is getting very close to Mason already. She is always curling up around my stomach. Jeremy is allergic to them and hates them. He told me one time it was either them or him... Guess i won that war....lol

softbreeze200 - April 14

LMAO!!!! Oh Ekay - you kill me!!! Thanks for the great laugh first thing this morning!! lol!! I am so glad to hear that aside from all the life lessons learned over the weekend that you had a blast!! And got some color! I wore a skirt to work today for the first time this year and whoa momma!!! Them are some white white canadian legs. Almost scary to a point!! But whatever - they don't like it or it hurts their eyes they can put some shades on!! My weekend was good. Hubby suprised me and came home on Friday night!!! WHoo hoo!! So he is home for the rest of the montha nd then has to go back to teach at a school for pipeline stuff for the month of may ( but can come home on weekends) and then he will be home until after she arrives in Aug!!! Very excited about that!! SO we went and took our old Bronco out in the muddy fields and did some 4X4ing!! Got nice and muddy and had a good time. Although it is just not the same sipping on a excel near-beer, as it is the real thing - but it worked! Cnas - glad to hear the weekend went better and things are starting to look alittle brighter. Just stay strong - and it will get better! Momma - aren't the clothes so tiny!! I washed a load of stuff that was given to me as well this weekend and they took up no room in the basket at all and they are sooo small to fold!! I love them!! I too was looking at that pic of Jeremy and it is hilarious!! I love it!! Mason better not be afraid of heights!! :) I have full intentions of sneeking a micky into the hospital with me in the baby bag!! Hee hee!! :)

Ya'll are too funny with the drinking after delivery. Ya'll need a sign that says "No drinking while pushing". I usually don't get the itch to drink for a few weeks afterwards. The hard part is gonna be not taking up smoking. I used to hate the way cigs smelled but now I strangely like it. Not like I sit there and inhale what someone b__ws out, but ya'll know what I mean. We did some 4x4'in on the beach this weekend (nothing too rough) but I definitely freaked myself out thinking I'd jellied her brain because she wasn't very active yesterday. She's moving a bit today though. Mommam, this is how bad I am.....my husband has asthma (his mom smoked while she was pregnant with him) and he keeps making comments that the cats make his asthma worse. I feel bad because I kinda ignore him, because I just am not gonna get rid of my cats. I'm like, just use your inhaler more dear.

SB200, by the way, that is great news about your hubby. Mine called about the job and they want him to go to Houston tomorrow for a drug test and to fill out paperwork. I know it still isn't a done deal, but it's the furthest he's gotten since talk of going offshore has come about. It's really hard for me because I know this could be very good for our family financially and I don't mind being with the kids by myself, I am just overwhelmingly paranoid he's gonna miss the birth. Since it's the many weeks gone and only a few weeks home type of thing. He really needs something to make him feel significant though. He's been struggling with "I'm 27 years old and all I can do it lay tile and wood flooring". I want him to have a good career so I am keeping my worries at bay. SB200, you might need to be my mentor if he does get this job. :-)

mommaminchey - April 14

No skirts for me....It dropped down to 40 today and theres no way you will catch me wearing a skirt... You are much braver than I. I'm glad Sb he gets to come home on the weekends. I couldn't imagine living by myself. I am a very paranoid person. Erin I did the same thing to Jeremy he sneezes 24/7 and I just say oh well. take a benadryl....(sp). But he has learned to deal with it I guess. I will def have a jager bomb or something I can mix while the nurses are gone. Maybe just a good ol' bud. Jeremys family and friends have said they are going to ahve a tail gate party in the parking garage so i will just take one of there beers... ( they r serious too). Has anyone seen premitions? I rented it this weekend and it was kinda weird....

ekay03 - April 14

Ya see, that sucks. Six days since Jan. 2! He is so antsy to own our own house, he'd probably be gone as long as possible initially just so we could get ahead. I just try to stay focused on the positives of this job, as much as I want to think about him possibly diving and handling heavy dangerous machinery, hurricanes destroying the rigs, missing our child's birth, etc. Creedence has been very active today too. I still can't believe less than 4 months to go. She is kicking pretty high still mostly around my belly b___ton. So it's either her head or her feet!

mommaminchey - April 14

Okay now idk if this is possible but when we went for the last u/s last week Mason was very high up... Like near my ribs and yesterday I swear he was pushing on my rib. It hurt so bad while I was driving.... Is that possible... That sucks only 6 days this year... Sometime I wish I only saw jeremy 6 times...lol. no i kid but geeze idk if our marriage could last....

ekay03 - April 14

Mommam, depending on how I am sitting, she feels like she is getting pretty d__n close to my ribs. But if you are already feeling the rib pain, I really feel sorry for you. Cause it's only gonna get worse! Its nothing I would worry about if I were you though, as far as medically. And part of me thinks my marriage would actually be better if we didn't see eachother every day! And part of that is kidding and part of it isn't.
