Must be the monday blues! I am fighting to stay awake at my desk, and thinking of all the questions I want to ask my dr tommarow at my checkup. Seems like I had a million and now I can barley think of two!! Preggo brain at work I think!! I should learn to write them down when I think of them. How is your afternoon going momma??

Well my spirts are better... I am in a better mood now so that's a plus. Just waiting for time to go by so I cna go home. Just thinking about all the things i can get done tomorrow. Like get my name changed on my DL bcuz I haven't done it since we got married...OOPS.LOL. But I am very awake... Couldn't sleep on a day like today... How is the weather there? We might get tornado's.

minchey, that's just horrible. Can you threaten a lawsuit if they cut back your hours while you're pregnant? I'm not sure what legal ground you would have, but there may be something there similar to if an employer fires you because you're pregnant. Maybe just the threat might convince them that it's in their best interest to let you work your hours until you go on maternity leave. I'm glad you seemed to be handling it all ok toward the end there.

ekay, so glad to hear of another barely A cup girl. I didn't fill my A cup bras either prepregnancy. How much have yours grown? Mine fit nicely in my A's now, maybe a little tiny bit tight...but not enough to upgrade yet. I did have to get a back extender though so that it doesn't cut into my ribs and back. How far along are you? I'm almost 16 weeks.

Where does everyone on this thread live? I'm in Maryland. We had beautiful 67 degree weather today, but it's going back down to the 30's and 40's for the rest of the week. I can't wait for spring. I'm hoping more sunshine will help lift my mood. Still terrified of being pregnant. And not wanting my belly to grow anymore. I just want to run from maternity pants. I'm sure it's just normal first time mommy fears. Hope someone else is feeling them too. Well I guess I don't hope it...but it would be nice to know I'm not alone.

Good morning! Hope our tuesday goes better than our monday.. anamaria i am in NJ it was in the high 50's yesterday feels good and is supposto be even nicer today i can't wait until this weather sticks...I hate maternity clothes too i am on the bigger side to begin with and only 5'3 and there is not much out there for me the black pants i need for work when they do come in my size are long as anything and i dont like heming things ugh..

anamariaflorencia - March 4

Kitkat, how far along are you? Are you already in maternity clothes? Do you prefer the pants that cover the entire belly, or just with a couple inches of band? I bought two pairs that cover the entire thing, but now I think I would have prefered the thinner band. But I'm not sure how comfy those would be. I'm still in regular clothes, I'm 16 weeks and this is my first...but I'm retiring pants every day. I've seen that some very pregnant people can wear their regular jeans if they are super low cut. Anyone read Jenny McCarthy's "Belly Laughs" -the truth about pregnancy and childbirth-? I just finished it last night. There are som histerical laugh out loud moments in there...but it's only funny because it's true. I can't believe what pregnant women have to go through. Anyone else feel like they're sacrificing their body and lives for thier little baby?

i'm 17+ weeks i have only gotten the ones with the small band but they are annoying the band rolls down somtimes it can be uncomfortable..I loved belly laughs it was very funny and put me in a good mood... did any one read chichen soup for the expectant mothers soul OMG i cried so bad durring some of the stories my fience told me i was only allowed to read one a day lol but it was good too.

morning girlies...well, I don't know what I was complaining about, maternity pants rock!! It feels like I'm wearing sweatpants to work, and they look normal too!! I don't know what I was worried about or waiting for - I suffered in tight pants for too long :) mamma, hope your work drama works out for you, that really is terrible :( speaking of b___bs, mine haven't grown at all! but I expected this b/c I had a b___st reduction about 10 years ago and I won't be able to b___stfeed and most likely won't even get milk. so I guess that's why they haven't grown, but that's good, I don't want bigger than a c cup, or else what did I pay for 10 years ago!

Morning ladies. Phew thankgoodness Monday is over with!! I hate mondays. SO ahrd to get into any kind of a groove again. But today feels better. I am in total agreeeance about the maternity pants! Loving them and the stretchy waist!! I too dont know why I suffered with my old pants fo rthat long. These feel geat and still look good!! I have a couple pairs with just the small band and they are good, and one pair of jeans with the full band, they are great for the fat feeling days, you can pull that band up around all of your belly and it holds everything in just nice!!! I haven't read either of those books, but they keep being mentioned so I might have to pick up a copy. Momma I don't imagine you are with us today - I think you said you were going to be off today, so I hope you had a chance to talk to your boss and get the answers that you need. I hope you have a good relaxing day today - I can't believe you were talking about getting tornados!! It is still snowing and b__wing here and cold. I hate canadian winters - they drag on forever. My dr office just called and reschedualed my dr appointment that I had today until thursday. Kind of dissapointed, I don't know why though. It is just a normal checkup. I wanted to ask her if it was ok to eat store bouht ceasar salad dressing. I love ceasar salads and that is the only way I will eat lettuce and such. Any one know?? I knwo home made dressing is not good because of the raw egg. but wouldn't anything commercial be made with pastureized eggs anyway?? Anyway, oh well. I guess I wait till thursday to go see her. I think I will change to another dr in her office right away, as my dr just decided to stop delivering babies, and I will have to switch over to a different dr as soon as I hit he third tri, so I might as well do it now right? Hope everyone is having a good morning!!

Ya know, I wrote this whole big long post yesterday and the website wouldn't let me post for some reason. I was ticked. I was just basically telling MommaM to hang in there-sometimes c___p happens that sucks b-a-l-l-s at the time, but when you look back a few years later, it actually worked out to your advantage. I will pray for you. And gabby! Those jeans should be diamond crusted for $150, but I also know at this point you can't sacrifice any amount of money for comfort. Anamaria, my b___bs are probably a B now. I love it. I REALLY love it after my milk comes in! I am 17weeks4days and don't worry about being terrified. This is my fourth and I didn't get scared with this one until I first felt movement and then I was like "Oh c___p, I'm really gonna give birth again!" And speaking of movement-Critter has been very active this morning. It's weird-you go from hardly any movement or those 'maybe flutters' and then it's like there is an alien in my belly! I love it though. SB200, when you are checking your lo's hb, do you ever notice it gets really slow and then jumps to really fast? Every once in a while mine will be normal, then get kinda slow and then speed up to pretty fast. I just keep telling my self there is nothing to worry about, but I still get concerned. KitKat, I have the same problem with the few inch banded pants. Mine also slide down, so everytime I stand up I have to jerk my pants up. It gets worse the bigger I get too, because they are supposedly "below the belly" anyways, although I try to wear them "at my belly". :-) Hope ya'll have a good day!

gabbysally - March 4

haha, I know, I tend to spend a lot of money on designer jeans ; P I'm 18 weeks and 2 days and havent felt any movement yet I don't think. is that bad?

softbreeze200 - March 4

Ekay I am so jealouse that you guys are all feeling the movements. I am still waiting. If I didn't have the doppler I think I would be a basket case by now!! I have tried juice and gatoraide and chocolate, then lying on my side - NOTHING!!! Grrr. I know i have to be patient, but then I start to worry that the baby is not growing as fast as it should be and that is why I am not feeling it yet...blah blah blah... my mind goes crazy!! I am 18w tommaorw, so I am hoping that my LO will give me some kind of a sign!! As for the heartbeat, mine does that all the time!! It can be at high 130's then jump right up to 150!! Uusally it sits in the mid to high 140's though. I asked my dr about it and actually at my last appointment while she was checking it she counted it at 140 then it sped up and she recounted it at 150!! She laughed and said " a active little bugger isn't it!!! She said it is normal for it to jump +/- 25 bpm at this stage constantly. It is all dependant on how active the lo is at the time or sometimes she said even streatching can cause the hb to eccelerate. Nothing to worry about!

Sweet little lambs, remember that this is my FOURTH!!!! But it is crazy the difference a day makes. Yesterday it was kinda a love tap here, love tap there and today, my goodness, this kid is bumping me all over the place. I even went to bed last night sad because I hadn't felt him move since the afternoon. SB200, I know spending too much time on the back is a no-no, but that is how I first felt movement. I would just switch to my side every few minutes for a bit and then flop onto my back again. And for me, at first, it just feels like a tap-tap and I could feel it through my hand. It will happen soon enough. Eventually you will wonder how many kids are actually in your womb when there are elbows and knees poking out of your sides. Good fun. I'd be willing to bet ya'll have felt movement, ya just don't know it. :-)

Hey girls. I just thought I would say hello. So yesterday I was really upset about the job thing but today I realize I know have time to do the things I never have time to do. And when the summer comes I only have to get out 3 days a week instead of 5 so I'm not as upset as I was. They told me yesterday evening that there is no way they can let me go and be pregnant which is a relief and my ins wont change... So im okay with... It's kinda like a break. I too love my maternity pants. I bought 1 pair of jeans and 1 khaki from the motherhood store and I love them. Well I'll be back shortly.

ekay03 - March 4

Glad to hear you're in better spirits MommaM!!!
