When does the third trimester officially begin?

beginning of the 7th month, apprx. week 28 to 31.

actually, week 28 to 31 makes the 7th month, the beginning of the 3rd trimester is therefor about week 28.

I think it starts week 25. 24 weeks is the end of the 6th month so week 25 begins the 7th month.

According to my book the seventh month and thus the third trimester does start at week 28. E, how did you come up with 25 weeks? That way, you would be ten months pregnant at week 40, no?

According to my doctor, pregnancy is broken down into 3 equal portions, each containing 13 weeks. (and a couple days) So therefore, the third trimester would begin after week 26 at the beginning of 27.
