CONGRATS on the 14 weeks!! Are you less worried now?

ekay - March 21

Thanks on the Congrats! Yes I am less worried, but still not 100% until the baby is in my arms. I am super excited not finding out what it is till I give birth. My son said today that he is going to call it "Baby Ryan" because a kid at his school is going to have a 'baby ryan'. I am like okay, but if it's a girl, you can't keep calling it Ryan!

Haa haa, how cute!! My kids just say the baby, and then they will slip and say he/she and then correct themselves and say IF its a boy/girl, haa haa

Hi girlies. . Posted this in another post and wanted your opinions!! The other night my fiance and I were laying in bed talking and he had his hand on my stomach. All of a sudden he just stopped and concentrated and said sshhh. He said he though he felt a very slight movement. Is this possible? I am 16 weeks, and I have not even felt movement that I know of. I drank a ton of orange juice one day and went home and layed on my back waiting, I THINK I might have felt something but am not sure, and that was the only time. The other night when this happened with my fiance I had also drank a ton of orange juice that day. . .I am guessing what people say is true that it makes the baby jiggle!!

hi girls! wow ekay congrats on getting to 14 weeks :) You should be less worried now. I asked my the doctor that did my ultrasound when I could stop worrying about a miscarriage and he said now and I'm at 13 weeks! Ouch.. your health insurance is damm expensive.. i'm glad I live in France..everything is almost free, of course we pay heavy taxes to pay for it so the costs are there but hidden! I don't know what to think about your post Beth, I imagine it is possible that he did feel something but I would have thought that you would be feeling movement before him! Who knows. Oh my baby's heartbeat was 168!! Fast little heartbeat.. I haven't been on much recently because I have exams.. yuck :( I had two yesterday, one today then one Friday.. It is raining out and I lost my umbrella.. I have to walk like 15 mins to get the bus.. sucks.I'm gonna get soaked :( What else is new... oh yes, I spent an arm and a leg on two bras this weekend. I finally decided that my b___bs were too squished. In france bras are sooo expensive.. at least anything decent.. So I hope that my b___bs won't grow to quickly again.. I don't want to be buying bras every month! Well I've got to head off to my exam in the rain while you girls are probably still sleeping peacefully in your part of the world :)

ekay - March 22

Sleeping peacefully is d__n right! I slept like a freakin rock last night. In fact I think I only got up once to pee. I had to pee so bad and I rolled over on my stomach and I guess my bladder was pushing on my uterus and I was like "WHOA, what the hell is that!" I kinda agree with Citrouille, Beth....you coulda just moved your stomach muscles or something and that's what he felt. Usually we feel it first, but that's usually. Hopefully the little bugger will start kicking you husbands hand with no mercy! Hell, what am I saying? You know your body better than me, it very well coulda been the baby,

Good morning ladies!! Where is Luck hiding, have not heard form her in a few days. Citrouille sorry you have to walk in the rain, that sucks :0(. I would make someone else feel sorry for having an umbrella and a pregnany woman not and have them give it up!! haa haa. Ekay, I only wish I slept as good as you last night. ..I tossed and turned like crazy :0(. Another thing is, before pregnancy my favorite sleeping position was on my left hand side, which now should be good. ..BUT now I cannot stand it, my back seems to be my favorite and I heard that was bad. How bad is it do any of you know? I don't want to harm the baby, but I can't seem to sleep any other way :0(. And I think you guys are right about it just being my muscles or something, I thought he was weird when he said it anyways, haa haa

ekay - March 22

When you sleep on your back later in pregnancy (like around 18+ weeks, when your uterus starts to get heavier) the pressure from your growing uterus puts, well, pressure on an artery (can't remember the name of it) and it puts a limit on the oxygen to the baby. I had the same problem as you Beth with my last pg. The only thing comfy was on my back, so I would kinda hike my left leg up and shift my weight to the left to alleviate that "bad pressure". I would talk to your doctor more about it. BTW, I moved my appt to next Wednesday the 30th (I think), so I'll at least have money to pay! When is your appt Beth? Where are you Lucky!?

Beth - March 22

Thats a good idea. . .my fiance sleeps on the right of me, maybe I will make him move to my left so I can throw my legs over him at night!! :0) My apt. is not until April 7 when I get back from Seattle.

citrouille - March 23

hi girls! how are things going today?

Beth - March 23

Good morning Citrouille. . .or I should say good evenining to you!! things are very well today!! and you?

citrouille - March 23

hi Beth :) Things are going quite good for me too! The weather is nice again today and my mother-in-law visited me. We had a great chat and got all excited about the baby. She told me about all the stuff she is knitting! So sweet! I can't believe how well we get along! She is way nicer than my own mom!

Beth - March 23

WOW, not allot of people say their mother in law is nicer than their own mom! I cannot say the same for mine, my mom and I are close as can be, but I do love my fiance's mom more than anything to, she is great, and they love me, so I am just glad for that, I would hate to be in a fmaily where I did not want to be around it ya know! Glad to hear things are going good!!!

Beth - March 24

Oh yeah and guess what. . . .:0(. I called the dr yesterday to ask if they would be doing an u/s my next apt on April 7, JUST in case they said no not until 20-22 weeks then I would have just postponed the apt one to three weeks depending on what they said, BUT NO, the d__n nurse said not until 28 weeks. . .what the hell is that all about :0(. I know people finding out at like 16 weeks, I will be 19 and they are going to make me wait until 28 :0(

Phoebe - March 24

Beth if you can't wait... it may be time to lay on the drama... throw the tantrums, and tell them that you are really crampy... it works for the patients in our ER... they know how to get what they want... when they want... I don't really understand insurances... is it Blue Cross or something like that? It really sucks that they charge for ultrasound because it can be done in 2 minutes... unless it is a really high end machine, that does actual photo print out other than paper.

ekay - March 24

Man, I'd be ticked if I were you! My sister gets to find out what she is having next Tuesday, so she will be almost 21 weeks. Her doctor went out of town so she had to wait a week and was p__sed, so I can only imagine what you are going through. It's kinda nice for me this time, because I don't wanna know, so I don't have that stress! What is it with men anyways. I am sure my hubby feels that way sometimes too, second best. But it's like give me a break. They are almost like having another child that you have to keep up with. You would think a grown man would be self sufficient enough to occupy themselves, or even jump in and help while we are tending to other things LIKE THEIR KIDS! On a different note, I told you guys that d__n doppler was gonna be a curse in some form. Well, I have picking up the baby's hb pretty low in my abdomen, so now I am freaking out thinking, "oh, God, what if it is sitting low because I am gonna miscarry" or something like that. Leave it to me to be paranoid. I just wish I could feel it move. That is such a big rea__surance.
