Hello ladies. I am once again attempting to work with a 15 month at my side since her babysitter is closed today. Not Fun! She is at perfect height for messing with the keyboard. I am super tired to because my son woke up at 12:30 with a asthma attack. Sorry to b___h so much! How are your cramps Beth? How's your cold Citrouille? And last but not least, how are you feeling Lucky?

Hey girls, All is well with me... I posted a question on this board asking about labor and delivery.... Hold on, I'm gonna copy and paste it in here so we can discuss it.....

Hi ladies I know it is a little soon to be thinking about this but now that the baby is in there, it's gotta come out some way some how.... I am not sure if it's better to push the baby out or get a C-Section. I am afraid of pushing because I don't want to get torn (Down There). Even a small baby looks too big to come out of such a small hole.... OMG, Am I just being paranoid, or is this a normal concern??

Lucky, as for your question. . .I am planning on v____al unless I am told otherwise by the dr. I have heard of them cutting down there and then after the birth st_tching it back up. ..I know that does not sound fun either, but it is better than having an jagged tore and tryign to fix that!
My sister is 5'11 and stick skinny, my nephew was 10lbs 2 ounces when he was born. . .I always make fun of my sister and say she must have been hanging loose down there because they did not cut her and she did not rip!!

I'm just afraid of getting ripped... you are right, it sure doesn't look like fun,,,,

I think in the end, it doesn't really matter whether you rip or get an episiotemy. I mean if you didn't have either done, it is still gonna be sore from stretching and squeezing a baby out. Trust me, ripping and getting cut are the last things on your mind. I had an episiotemy with my 1st (and had an epidural) and I tore with my 2nd (the one with limited amount of pain relief.) To be honest with you, looking back on both those labors, I don't remember a single thing about the episiotemy OR tearing. I really wouldn't worry about it. I am more scared of a c-section that a v____al delivery, personally.

I watch that B-day live about a month ago on Discovery Health and that turned me away from a c-section also. . .seeing all the skin and muscles they have to cut through. . .YIKES!

hi girls,
sorry I didn't post yesterday.. I was busy between feeling horrible and going to cla__s! I'm feeling slightly better today thank goodness!
I personally am really hoping for a v____al.. the idea of a C-seciton terrifies me. I have a major problem with any kind of "drug".. each time I've had surgery (appendix, etc) I have an adverse reaction to whatever they used to knock me out. Anyway, I don't even think I want an epidural.. that terrifies me too! Yes I think it is scary to imagine how a big baby can get through such a small whole but don't forget that women having been doing this for years and years.. so it is possible :)

That is exactly my feeling Citrouille. I know this might sound silly, but I realy think the media and society in general have programmed us to believe that labor is this horrible horrible pain. Yeah it hurts, but hello! women have been giving birth for a long time with nothing for pain. I've had discussions about this on other posts and a lot of 'pro-epidural' women saying that the women doing it natural are trying to prove something or trying to be high and mighty. It isn't like that for me, it's like an accomplishment.

Good morning ladies. . .ok I have an extremely weird weird question. . .
When pg should you still be able to suck your stomach in. I have this pooch now, or showing, whatever. But this morning I was thinking to myself, am I really showing that much or is it because I am wearing not to tight pants and I am letting it all hang out, haa haa. So I tried sucking it in and sure enough I am still able to suck in quite a bit. . .
should I be able to do this?
