Hi guys, I have been traveling but things still seem to be good. I am 16 weeks now (I just can't wait to make it to the 20 week mark) and have another appt this afternoon. The doctors have finally decided that I am high risk ... ya think? Keep positive everyone :) Marlo, did you tell you're dr you're light headed? It could be totally normal - especially if it is when you change position!!

Hi Prachi, Michelle, Pauline and all loggin in. I am happy to say it is now 3 weeks and no bleeding- I had an u/s last week and they confirmed I am placenta previa grade 2 at the moment. As long as the bleeding stays away we should be fine other than needing to have a c-section. I was having one anyway because my last 2 were c-sections. The doctor did say if I bled again he would put me in hospital until term!! I will just have to deal with that when and if the time comes-my only thing would be I want to see my boys every day and my mum or husband will have to make many trips to the hospital then! It will all be worth it. I have just hit the 18w 2d mark and am thrilled. I cant wait until the 01st November as I will have my anomoly scan then and can find out what I am having-I think only a little girl could cause this much grief!! But I really dont mind what I have. If I am Blessed with a healthy baby boy or girl I will be estatic! Keep taking care of yourselves and will keep you updated.

I never had any spotting until at 12 1/2 weeks had some brown spotting. At my next appt a few days later my Dr. checked for infection, found only old blood, and said all was fine - good heartbeat and size. Just last night at 14 weeks I had bright red bleeding throughout the night and early morning. Dr. said there was nothing to do, but come to the ER if it got worse or was clotting. I'm still having brown spotting and some very small lumps of blood, but the red bleeding has stopped - I hope. I have been totally freaked out about this and am terrified I'll lose this baby, my first. I feel a little better knowing that the same is happening to other women without miscarriage. Should I schedule an appt with my dr. ASAP? or wait 3 more weeks till my next one?

Hi all, I am 12 weeks 6 days and i started bleeding today. I was pa__sing clots and then now i have just a brownish discharge. I have not had any cramping but i have done alot of crying. This is my 3rd child. I have a 5 yr old and a 3 yr old. Although we were not planning to have another child i would now feel very empty if something happened to this one. I have read all your entries and have started feeling better about it all but it is still very fightening. Thank You all for your words of wisdom and congrats to all of you who have receive healthy children after all the stress.

Just to let everyone know - FATHERS TOO read this web and we are very grateful for its existance. My wife is 40years old, no children, two miscar. Now in week 14. Two days ago huge bleeding, red, fresh blood, stopped within hour. Went to ER, nothing could be done before Mondays scan, so we had a long and terrible weekend. This morning, Monday, got the ultrascan done, everything OK, no explanation for bleeding...So it appears to be normal...This web helped us thru weekend, so hopefully this will help someone too.. Good luck

I had a very straightforward pregnancy but began bleeding very heavily during labour. The midwife avoided my questions about it and I was very frightened at the amount of blood I seemed to be losing. Does anybody know if it is normal to bleed during labour from about 5cm? I am too frightened to have another baby in case it happens again.

I am 14 weeks and I was bleeding a lot last Friday. The doctors checked my cervix and it was closed. My ultrasound was a good one too. My baby was jumping around.Yet, I feel so afraid. Seeing that I am not the only one in this boat is giving me hope. God bless you all and I hope that everything turns out alright for all of us!

Just to offer some help to the new people. I started writing when I was 13 weeks and started spotting. I hit 18 weeks tomorrow and so far, so good!! Keep thinking positively!

This turned out to be a blessing. I was googling to see what the experts have to say about bleeding during the 12th week. i just started my 12th. a couple of days ago, i noticed a brown clot with a small amount of red blood discharge while i went to the bathroom. i took the next couple of days off and tried a low activity routine. it seemed to help. but, i am back at work today and i saw the same red spotting once again. i had an u/s done two days ago and the baby was just fine...they listened to the heart beat today and he/she was doing just fine. and i notice this red bleeding again....this is so darned scary!! it was a little comforting to know that i am not alone. hope that this bleeding stops for all of us and all of us get to relax and enjoy our pregnancies and deliver healthy babies

Hi, I have been regularly reading these msgs and they hv gotten me through some rough time. This is my second pregnancy. First one ended in an incomplete miscarriage followed by a D&C after one long month of bleeding/pain and heart ache and a week in the hospital. This pregnancy I started bleeding during 6th week. I have continued spotting now. It's my 13th week. Eventhough the doc didn't suggest I went on complete bed-rest. My husband has been an absolutely wonderful caretaker and has helped me thru- this bedrest. The U/S have gone fine so far. I have my 15 week U/S in Nov. I am having some dull pain now which bothers me a lot. Is anyone else experiencing this? Hope all goes well with everyone else.

Good luck Max!! Glad to see a daddy on this site:) I have a low lying placenta which is the cause of my 17 week bleeding. Have they ruled this out for you?

Hi ladies. I am from Robert, louisiana and I am married with 1 son (11 years old.) My husband and I tried for a second child for 8 years, towards the end of that period, I became pregnant with twins. I had a miscarriage at around 8 - 10 weeks. That was 2 years ago. My husband and I gave up trying to have any more children immediately after the m/c. I went to the doctor in late August and my doctor told me I was pregnant. Super Shocker!!! I saw my dr at 6w 5d and he did an u/s, everything was fine. At 7w 5d, I went to bathroom and the panic set in, I was bleeding. I rushed to the Hospital and they did a u/s, the baby was fine. Saw my dr the next day u/s # 2 baby still fine. Still bleeding and spotting continued on and off. At 8w 5d u/s # 3 baby still thriving. Saw dr at 10w 4d u/s #4 everything ok. After dr app., gush of red blood another onslaught of panic. back to dr. (different dr.) exam ok and u/s #5 perfect. dr said that my placent is over the cervix. what will that mean in the future for my pregnancy? well today I am 11w 6d and no bleeding or spotting within the last week. next app. on tuesday 11/2/04 praying for good news. and praying for all of you, I was so glad to find this site where I see that I am not alone.

Millie - October 29

Hi Arthi, Hope your doing better now. If you are still spotting red, I think you should take some more time off work. I was on complete bedrest for almost 15 days eventhough my doc did not suggest it. My bleeding has turned to browninsh spotting now. I believe it's because I took complete rest. Also get another U/S done soon. Hope everything goes well. Good Luck!

Marlo - November 4

Hi All- Sorry it's been so long since I have given an update...I am now about 20 weeks and have had no bleeding for almost four weeks now!!! Had a very intense Level II ultrasound...(we're having 2 boys)! Please everyone, remember to pray and keep your head up...I thought so many times that I lost one or both of my babies, but according to all doctors everything looks fantastic! Take care and good luck.

Tara - November 5

I just went over 19 weeks and also had a level two ultrasound. My doctor said that there are several things that could have been causing the bleeding, including a early miscarriage of a twin! So far my little girl (yeah, it's a girl) is doing well. There running a lot of tests because she has a single artery umbilical cord, but everything else looks normal!

i can't tell u how reasurring these posts have been. I have had about 5 episodes of bleeding since about week 7 now 13 weeks and 4 days. The last was 5 days ago, i pa__sed quit a bit of blood and numerous clots, so of course i ran to the emergency and was told there was a small seperation between the sac and something. Could this have been the cause everytime..why was it not noticed before?? im living in a foreign country..orginally from canada and i m finding it hard to trust these doctors. The doc has given me progestrone suppositories and another med. Im concerned this will harm the baby. The bleeding has stopped thank god but im having watery discharge. Does anyone know is this is normal?. I go to the bathroom what seems like a million times a day just to see if i started bleeding again. I really feel obsessed with this and it is even interupting my sleep. How can i relax?
