Mary have you seen a doctor? I would insist on it and then relax and try not to stress about it what ever is going to happen will happen and we have little control over it. ( unfortunatly).. How are you and the babies Millie? How are the Stephanies doing? I think of you all often and hope you are all doing well. I hope it is comforting to know that someone from Washington state is praying for you. God bless and good luck. Jenn

Yes, I have had that twice now. At 14 weeks, I was just standing up and felt wetness...it was bright blood without any pain. Freaked out and went in to hear heartbeat and got an ultrasound. My placenta is attached low near the cervix. Found out that I am pregnant with twins (identical probably)! Can't do any lifting or have intercourse, etc. Happened again at 17 weeks. Went in again for an ultrasound and all is fine. Babies are each growing and on schedule. So, the only thing to do when that happens is to lay down until the bleeding stops. Goes from bright to dark. The dark blood comes out for days. Good news is that my placenta is moving up. No harm to the babies per the doctors, but it is rough on me.

It is a relief to hear about all of the bleeding going on w/o miscarriage. I had bleeding this weekend and went straight to the emergency room. It started out bright red but now is very light, brownish spotting. Still creepy and unnerving. I have been resting and stayed home from work yesterday.

Well I pa__sed another doctor appointment. 32 1/2 weeks and she said if i go another week and a half she wont stop the labor. Yeah I am in the home stretch. I am not dialated but the head is dropping down loww she said. Yeah the s_x and walks helpped instead of hurt me this time. Now that I am almost done I will resume normal life as much as I can and maybe I will be a mommy again soon. I am ready. Mindy I bet it was nice to finally move freely agian and not worry about your babies because you could look at them. I cant wait God bless you all end enjoy even thoughthe hard times it wont last forever.

Jenny, Thanks for asking. I am doing fine so are the babies. I was a little busy these day. One of my twins went to ER after her routine check up. She had some fever. Later it turned out to be Pneumonia.Half of my first mother's day was spent in the hospital. But both are doing well now. They do not look like preemies any more. The pediatrition is really happy with their development. I am too. Both were born under 4 lbs and now bother are over 9 lbs. I am thrilled. I am also glad to hear about your progress. Waiting to hear the good news...(at least after 2 weeks!)

Hi Jenny and everyone. Just a quick update. I am now at 31 weeks and still no bleeding!! I haven't been scared to go to the bathroom and find blood for a few weeks now which makes my life a lot less stressful. Unfortuantely I didn't pa__s my diabetes test and so I have another problem to deal with though it is small in comparision. I weighted 130 b/f I was pregnant (I'm 5'8) and I have gained 27 pounds so far. Dr's not concerned but I'm staying off the sweets for awhile. I'm glad to hear that many of us are reaching over the 30th week. I never thought the day would come... take care everyone

iam 17 weeks along and since yesterday eving i have be having pink salmon coloured dicharge should I go to the hospital and get it checked out ?

Chris - May 24

I was in my office today working and my wife came in freaking out scared the life right out of me, said she was bleeding pretty bad, like a dark red color. We rushed in and got a sonogram done, first one and found out that she was 16 weeks and we are having a boy, we were originally told she was 20 weeks, The advice givin was that she needed to stay in bed for a month with min movement. The baby looked very healthy and was moving. Tami is a nervous wreak now, but I know she is going to be fine and am a__suring her all I can. After reading all your post and replies I feel confident of that. This seems to be a normal phase in alot more pregs than I would have expected. If anyone has to ever go through this than yes you need to go to the doctors, no matter what, mainly to give you the peace of mind you deserve while going through your pregnancy. But after reading all these post and the positive outcomes I would just suggest you relax and keep your chins up. I can only imagine the feeling you must experience when you see this happen for the first time so unexpentantly, but I bet if your read these post first it would certainly have comforted you to know just how many other have experienced this as well. Thanks to all you ladies for all your energy and long post, it was a real relief for me that I will pa__s on down to my wife while we get through this,

Sam - I'd definately go to hospital and get it checked out. Pink blood is baby blood but it's very probably not serious esp. as it didn't sound like there was a lot but they may want you on bedrest until the wound heals. I've bled 10 times so far and am still fine so there's no need to worry too much but I'd always get red or pink blood checked out at the hospital. Brown blood is old and isn't so urgent.

Jenny - May 26

Justine I dont know where you got the idea that pink blood is baby blood that is simply wrong. Through all my troubles and other people who have posted not once have I heard such a thing. Never mind the fact that, that kind of info. will scare the pants off of everyone on here (saying things like that.) Pink blood is simply pink blood not baby blood it is as serious as everone elses red blood/ dark blood and should be checked out but I believe that with rest and a positive state of mind all will be okay for this woman ( Sam) . Good luck to you all and God Bless

Justine - May 27

Jenny - I was only trying to help . Won't bother in future. I've bled 10 times so far so I've spojken to lots of doctors and this is what I've been told.

Justine - May 27

Jenny - I was hurt by you message - you made me cry. I've gone through IVF and its taken 3 years to get this baby - our first and I've bled 10 times so I really am having ahorrid time without people being nasty to me. I was only trying to help and it was what my family doctor told me. However, I admit he may well be wrong about the pink blood - he does get a few things wrong. But he's a lovely man he'd never hurt anyone and even phones me at home to check I'm OK and paid for the rugs for my IVF.

Jenny - May 27

Justine I am sorry if I upset you that was not my intention. However I felt that if that was a response to a problem I posted I probably would have been upset by it ( scared) the thought is upsetting. I do admit that I acted harsh to your posting and I appologize to you and everyone that felt uncomfortable by these statements. Bleeding of any kind is scary and I am sure you know that when people say things to you you can get freeked out yourself. My intention was to comfort Sam. I appologize . God bless you all

i started having red spotting in my 16th week. i so glad i found this site. it's help to ease my mind a little. i have had an ultrasound and the baby looked healthy. i do have a question. i read in these posts that if the spotting is red/brownish that it's better than having pink blood which could be the baby's blood. does anyone know what would cause the baby to bleed? would your blood being negative and the baby's blood being positive cause the baby to bleed?

Josie - May 27

I am wondering about some spotting that I had this past Monday night. I'm 15 wks and 5 day. I wiped after going to the bathroom and found about three red spots of blood on the tissue - the equivalent of half a dime. I was really worried even if it was a little amount. the er doctor did a pelvic exam and an ultrasound and didn't see anything. he said I had a threatened miscarriage and sent me home. I should mention i didn't have any abnormal pain. The ultrasound showed a healthy baby with a good heartbeat. Since Monday, I have had the same thing happen but with even less red blood on the tissue. Should I a__sume I will miscarry. I know that women can miscarry even with a little amount of blood and without much pain. Thanks in advance
