I had a similar experience to yours and found out that I had a polyp on my cervix that was causing bleeding with no pain (but alot of stress!) The doctor removed it and rea__sured me that it had no effect on the baby, but any bleeding can make you so scared that you should definitely go and find out what your dr. says.

I started bleeding yesterday, well I guess its more like spotting... I went pee and when I wiped there was a strip of dark red blood, but a small amount. I had a miscaraige Jan. 05 but it stoped "thriving" at 4/5 weeks... Im 14 weeks 4 days into this pregnancy and I just started thinking all the worry was gone. (I did read this in 2 or3 pregnancy books. After going to the hospital yesterday for five hours this is the information I've gathered: On ultra sound the babys heart is great its moving all around and everything looks great. blood test look great, cervix is closed and now the blood looks like old blood. But the doc's at the hospital insisted on telling me that there is a chance that this is the begining of a misscairage... If everything looks great why do they say that? also when I left the hospital they gave me a print out about possible misscairage for 1 to 12 weeks or first trimester IM in my 14th week and 2nd trimester.... wish me luck, i feel the baby moving on and off, I think its fine but still worried...

I have never asked before but... if you had a miscarraige before and are spotting again with another pregnancy.... is the spotting the same as it was when you miscarried? What is the difference? I had bad spotting at 11 and 12 weeks. It finally stopped at 16 weeks with me on total self restriction. ( no carrying even a gallon of milk, no laundry baskets, groceries... I laid up and rested until it stopped... and even now I limit myself. I am finally here at 37 weeks and 3 days. I am scheduled for a c-section next Thursday morning!! I cant believe I made it this far. The doctors at er and even my obgyn said i was having a threating miscarraige. But like it is with you.... all test came back Perfect,, all u/s' were perfect and Never once an explanation or confirmation why i was spotting. just was told there could have been a small tear in placenta or late implantation bleeding.. So hang in there... I am just now thinking OH MY GOSH!!! I am really pregnant again and I will be holding my new baby next week at this time!!! I can't wait!! GOd bless us all!!!

Wow - this site has made me feel much much better. I am 15 weeks today and had a fairly severe bleed 2 weeks ago. I had an US and the docs could find nothing wrong. Also, I previously had heaving brown discharge at 8weeks. Since the bleed 2 weeks ago, I have had ongoing dark brown discharge. The doc says. . .well, we don't know. . .which frustrates me to no end. However, this site has made me realize that this is a common response. So. . .I will hang in there with the experience and strength of you women and hope for the best. Kristy - my experience is exactly like yours, so if you are still reading this site - know that your story is currently giving me hope and Congratulations.

Hi ladies, just checking in to offer hope. I am 37 weeks with a scheduled c-section in less than two weeks. From weeks 13-15 I had a severe placental bleed (subchorianic hemmorhage) and was treated for "threatened miscarriage" The bleeding stopped, and my baby girl has been bouncing around the womb healthy ever since. There really was no explanation as to why it stopped, although, I believe the prayers and support of friends and family had to have something to do with it. Please keep the faith, even when it feels like it could be all over in a minute. I'll never forget what that felt like, and it makes me appreciate this miracle all the more.

Have any of you with second trimester bleeding gone ahead with an amnio? I am scheduled for an amnio next Friday, however, because I am still having dark brown discharge, the high-risk specialist told me today that they may not be able to do the amnio. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar situation and if so, what you did. Thank you!

Hello Ladies............ I just want to report i had a BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL 8lbs 9 oz... on July 15, 2005 at 1:50PM. I went in for my last doc appointment and the doctor questioned a contraction i was having as she went to measure me. I told her this one was ok I have worse ones on and off. Come to find out I was in total labor and dialated to 3 cm. I was rushed down to er and was prepped for c-section and here she is. today is the day I was scheduled to have her. She has a little jaundice but so far the count has dropped. I take her in tomorrow for another blood test to make sure still dropping. Keep the faith. I did!! after the scare of the miscarraige........ I cant believe I have her now!! GOd bless all

Hi everyone. I have been writing every few weeks since I had my bleeding which started in Jan. and lasted into April. Well today is my due date and it is amazing I have made it this far. So far this baby seems pretty happy where he is so as with my last pregnancy (who was 10 days late) this one looks as if it will be late as well. Though I seem to be the only person who has actually made it close to their due date. Is this true?

kristy - July 25

stephanie...i was only 12 days early, which i think is normal for me cuz i was 9 days early with my first. congratulations on making it to the end and i am sure your son will be arriving shortly...God bless
