Last week on my 11week 2day mark, I experience severe bleeding and multiple clots. I was rushed to the ER. To my surprise , my cervix was still closed (I was sure I miscarried). they sent me for an US and to my surprise the baby was still there. HR was 150 beat and my placenta was ok. The next day I went to my Dr. and he put me on pelvic rest until I go to the Dr. on July 28. I hope everything is ok. Hope everyone else is doing fine...

Stephanie, you are the lucky one who made it till the due date. I delivered 7 weeks early!! It's common with twins though. Also since I myself am pretty tiny, I knew I could not hold them in for too long. Congratulations to you for making this far. Do let us know soon after your baby is here. God bless. And yes, to all the others still struggling, keep faith. You all will make it and have healthy babies.

On Monday August 1, I delivered a healthy 7lb6oz baby girl named Sara-Alyce. I had a large placental bleed at 12-14weeks, (see Feb. posts)and never thought I'd get here. But I did. I am so thankful! I pray for all of you going through this. Please keep the faith.

Congratulations Meredith. I understand what a relief it is to deliver a healthy child after a somewhat stressful pregnancy. I am sure you will be enjoying your little one as I am mine. God bless!

Hi, everyone.
Just wanted to share my good news. On July 29th I gave birth to a healthy baby boy (Cameron). He weighed 7lb. 12oz. It was a quick labor only 1 1/2 hours which was very fast in which we almost didn't make it to the hospital in time (rush hour in Boston is the time he picked to come). This was an eventful pregnancy but it all turned out wonderful. For everyone who has bleeding and feels hopless, there is hope. It 14 weeks I had heavy bleeding and my cervix was alittle open. However my little one was fine. I also bled for months and still he came out healthy. keep believing everything will be ok. I think a positive att_tude is very important even with the occasional breakdowns (which I had my fair share of tears). Of course now I am thinking "do I want a third child?" And the answer is yes even though I think I will be more anxious, it will be worth it.

Well ladies all I have to say is that you must keep up with bedrest and follow your doctor's orders. Don't worry about the bleeding unless you have pain. I had my baby girl in April 2005 and she is okay. So I am sure you all will be too. The bleeding is scary but you have to hang on!

Hi Jenny,
All is well for us as well. I have 3 more weeks until I go back to work full time. This is not a choice, we have to have 2 incomes. However for us my husband is a professor and can teach his cla__ses in the evening so he can watch the kids during the day. This way we don't have to do daycare. We both grew up in families where the mother stayed home so I think we really wanted to have the kids at home with us. I know this is a unique situation so it might not be an option in your case. I think that if like us you need the money to pay the mortage etc.. then you might not have any options. If you have the option then I would think about what you lose if you go back to work versus what you lose if you stay home. Can you maybe wait another year? If I had the choice I would take off the next year and spend it with my children. I wished I'd taken more time with my first baby (I only took 4 weeks maternity leave - its unpaid). This is only my opinion and I don't judge those who use daycare b/c that is an individuals choice and I think it is a hard decision for anyone. I think the most important thing you can do is make your baby feel loved and I don't think putting a baby in daycare changes their perspective at all.
Are you b___stfeeding? What will you do if you go back to work? My personal issue and I'm starting to wean but feel very guilty about it.
Good luck Jenny and let me know what you decide. If you even want to email more indepth feel free to email me at gray2chase@yahoo.com

Jenny, I totally agree that it's a very hard decision and depends totally on individual's situation. In my opinion teachers (I was one before this PG) have absolutely no life. Especially elementary teachers. So if you must work (to pay bills) then do. And do not feel guilty about it. Also if possible find a day care close to your school. So when the kids leave you can bring your baby to school and keep working until you have to. That way you can also watch your baby. My principle let many teachers do that ( I did not see many infants around though) I had several teacher who got their kids after school. The kids did homework while mommy worked on school stuff. I am not sure if this is an option for you. Also If you can do without going back to work (though not as comfortably) then please think about staying home at least for a year. This is the year the infant changes most: weight, activity, looks and all. They learn to crawl, walk, they teethe, grow!!! There is so much that you will be missing. But again think it through and decide. And if you have to work don't feel guilty at all.
