Hahah- that is hilarious Cat!!! Prune juice? haha! I don't know. That is one of the forunate things I get during pregnancy..i get to avoid consitpation!! For some reason I go more when I am PG which is strange.

Hi girls, im stressing right now. I just went for my scan at 18wks 3days, babies fine and is a boy (!!!) but apart from that nice news, theres some problems as the amniotic fluid is too low. They are worried as this can cause premature labour, mc, still birth, birth defects brain damage and all manner of horrible phrases i dont want to hear after ive already lost one at 12wks. Im just so scared of loosing my little boy. Ive done all the research i can and i figure theres a 50 50 chance of this either righting itself and the levels going back up again, or them slowly decreasing which can only lead to one of those bad results. They can do things to help but usually this happens in the third tri not in the 18th wk! Oh girls, im so worried. I have to drink like excessive amounts of water and rest constantly and of corse - try not to worry - like thats possible!! I just wanted to let you know whats happening, why ive been a bit quite lately, as ive got all sorts of things goin on right now, apart from this problem. But this is the one thats my main focus. Im so happy about my baby being a boy though and im trying to think positive thoughts and do everything ive ben advised. Please girls, dont neglect your water drinking as i wouldnt want this to happen to anyone else. You dont realise how important it is until something like this happens. Ok, so il check in in a few days, we have to go and have a 3d scan to see if theres any damage already to the baby or if he has a urinary defect that may also be causing this, and to see if theres any rupture to the sack that may be causing the leak. Il keep you all posted x x x

Miss P I am so sorry. I have been so worried about exactly that because when I had a quick scan at 18 weeks I was told my amniotic level might be low but that they wanted to wait until my high powered u/s to say for sure (In 9 days). I pray that everything goes better for you and hopefully your little boy will be fine.

Oh Miss P!Try not to stress! Congrats on the boy btw! I'll pray for you. Can I get you girls opinion on something? I usually am a stay at home mom, but since January have been working a 3 day/week job to fill in at the bank. Well I'm on my feet the whole time I am there, and lo and behold I'm getting varicose veins for the first time ever. Everyone is telling me to quit, which of course sounds easy, but of course I feel stupid for doing it. But since it technically isn't even my job...well what do you think?

MissP and Patience both hang in there. What a scary thought. You ladies are in my thoughts and prayers!!!!!! Good Luck. Saird do what you feel is best for you and try not to listen to others. What is your feeling about this? Do you want to continue working? do you feel like it is putting to much stress on you and the babe?

Saird - I'm not an expert in any way, but how about using those socks/tights to put over your legs for circulation purposes? Would that help? I agree with EJ - do what feels best for you! Is there a possiblity of sitting on a high stool instead of standing? Hopefully you can find a way to improvise. Good luck!! Miss P - you hang in there! Easier said than done... relax and try not to stress. Drinking lots of fluids is key - which is something I've been slacking in! My thoughts and prayers are w ith you and Patience!

hi girls! Well i had my scan on Monday....and we are having a little girl! You are the only ones I am telling...no one else even knows we found out! We already have a 21month old boy...so will have one of each which is nice. I haven't got the internet set up in my new house as yet- driving me insane! So just checking my emails at my parents house quickly. I will read through all your updates as soon as I can. We are off to Thailand for 2 weeks tomorrow for a holiday...I can hardly wait! So...will be in touch as soon as I get back. hope you are all well

Hi girls, thanks for your thoughts. We went for the 3d scan and have been told there nothing wrong with the baby, but probably its me not providing enough fluids. so now i am a drinking and peeing machine. I have to drink 1-2 bottles of water every hour and its so hard. Its because im living in 40 degree heat here in DRand i am constantly too hot, but weve been told to get straight back to the uk as soon as we can go. So im hoping to fly home this week but we are not sure yet. And im not allowed to do anything i just have to lie and drink only. It sounds easy but its not!! im in a lot of pain with my back from lying so much. anyway im just relieved that my boy is ok and there is something i can do to help fix it, for a change. pregnancy makes you feel so helpless sometimes because pretty much everything is out of your hands. Well girls, also the baby is measuring really big and now they are saying i could be due anywhere betwwen sept29th and oct 7th. i dont know how many weeks i am anymore!! but for my own mind im going to keep it at oct 4th and that makes me 19wks 1 day today. so girls on to you - catsmom im also quite bunged in that dept despite all this water, and having horrific gas which is driving my dh potty! what can be done?? Patience, anymore on your fluid levels? are you drinking? All you other girls how are you doing? xx

Oh Miss P! I am so glad to hear your baby is ok. I can understand how laying around is really no fun. Anyway I am relieved for you, take care.

Hey guys, Im almost to 20 weeks. I go to the doc tues Miss P so I will ask her about the fluid level but I have my u/s friday so chances are she will tell me to wait and see what they say. Like I said , the u/s I had was kind of just for fun so Im hoping the doc was wrong. Im glad your baby is ok though. Just stay positive and follow docs order and everything will be ok!

Hey guys I went for my 20 week visit today and babys heartbeat is in the 130s. She said I need to wait for my u/s friday to know more about the fluid thing. My quad screen came back negative which is great and I have been having trouble walking, severe leg and back pain, so she gave me one of those belly braces and POOF pain gone! Its not the most attractive thing to wear(kind of shows through clothes) but if it helps it will be worth it to atleast wear it at home. Ill let you all know friday night whats going on with the little bean! u/s is friday afternoon.

OH that is good to hear Patience! I am glad you got some relief!! I am anxious to hear how the appt goes!
