I'm 18w2d - This is our 2nd and we are NOT prepared!! We live in a 3bedroom home - except the 3rd bedroom is my office. We've got tons of remodling to do in to get ready for the new baby. We have a HUGE unfinished bas____nt... we've lived here almost 6 years and my husband has been saying (for the last 6 years) he's going to "fix" the bas____nt!! We need extra living space and I need an office! We don't want to move because the market just stinks. I fear we won't be ready by October! On top of that... I feel like a tub of lard! I gained 12 pounds at my 16wk appt... weighed myself this morning and I'm up 3 more pounds - that's 15 pounds!!

Oh Catsmommy! That's a bummer to have that added stress. Maybe you could just move your office to the unfinished bas____nt?

Lots going on here ladies! MissP - That's good news. I hope it keeps coming for you! Joey - congrats on the little girl! Yay! Enjoy your trip...I am certainly envious! Patience -that's awesome. I'll have to keep that in mind. My belly go so big with my first half the time I walked around holding it up. hA. Cats - Try not to over stress. We have a 2 bedroom and 2 at home already. My office is now the dining room table or the floor - what ever the 9mos old requires these days. haha. Enjoy the chaos because it will be gone before you know it. Not sure if we'll miss it but..HAHA! Hope it all works out best for you. At least you can blame the hormones if you bite your hubby's head off over the bas____nt slacking. :) Hope you're all happy and feeling good today!

Hi girls,patience thats good news so far and i hope fridays scan is also positive. Im just hanging around, altho i did go out today which was nice. Its so boring lying all the time. Baby has been kicking more and more and started to do some strong ones, which is fun! Cant wait until i can see actual bumps under the skin!! xx

Ladies my baby boy is 1 today!!! I am so freaking emotional over it. He is so big. wow how time flies!!!!!! Just think next year at this time we will all have 7 mo olds!!!!! I know I need to just relax but the baby was SOOO active around week 16-17 and now for the last few days I haven't felt any movement at all. I went in last Wed and all was great. I know the baby is only like 6-7inches right now so it can take some time to feel it. But I think the fact that I already felt it and now it has stopped just scared me. This happened with my son to. I felt him move at 17 weeks and then nothing for about 2-3 weeks but still...I want movement! ha! Ladies I feel great. I honestly don't even feel preg nant. I know once my belly pops it will be different. But I know it was 1st time excitement with my son but I was in maternity clothes by 10 weeks ....with this one I am still in my regular clothes and they are big. This is in NO WAY to rub anything in....it just makes me feel like I am not pregnant....I want my belly!!!!!! Although I do want to stay feeling good! ha

Oh my goodness egmeskan, I can't believe you don't look pregnant. I look huge already I swear. I weigh about 135 now, I've gained about 10 lbs, but my belly is big and I"m rather tired of hearing the joke if I'm having twins or not. I'm so jealous of you!!

ejmeskan....I know how you feel...I want my belly too...my old size 8 jeans are too big on me and people keep asking me.."where is your baby...you're 18 weeks!" It's getting kind of annoying...I do definitely feel pregnant though...still throwing up, headaches, sore bbs...I felt my first real kick last night...and that gave me motivation...but I think a belly would remind me what I am getting out of this...it is so hard to stay optimistic when I am so skinny and nauseous and hungry...eating has become a chore...and people keep asking me what I am doing to lose the weight...and telling me I look great...all of you ladies send your belly energy my way...I can't wait to look pregnant and show off my belly proudly...when will it happen??

I can't send you much belly engergy, but I will send you some b___t energy : ). I'm 18w5d - I don't look pregnant either - just fat! I'm afraid to weigh myself again. I was up 12lbs at 16wks, and weighed myself I think last week and was up a total of 15lbs!! Where is the darn weight going?? Not my belly! It all went to my b___t and thighs. So I don't look pregnant either - I just look like I've gained a ton of weight. I wear snug fitting shirts (on purpose) and you can see my belly has expanded... but it still doesn't look like a pregnant belly! I'm constantly having to tell folks (especially the ones I don't know) I'm pregnant. I hope my belly pops soon so at least people can attribute my weight gain to being pregnant - LOL.

Grr. Okay here girls, here's lot of belly energy from me!!! I have lots to go around. Isn't it funny how we all show so differently? i wish I could show you this bump of mine, I always look so big so fast. I swear my babies don't like to be inside of me at all...haha.

Hey ladies, u/s is in 45 mins, I live right next to the hospital so I still have 15 mins til I need to leave. Im so anxious that I already need to pee and I have to hold it. Aaaargh!

Patience, how did everything go?

Hi ladies! I had my ultrasound this morning and everything looked good according to the tech! It is a little boy and he was kicking all over the place and I couldnt even feel it. Oddly enough he is up under my rib cage so they kind of had a hard time getting pics but they were able to see what they needed. Im so excited. I didnt care what we were having but I love my ds so much that another little boy sounds great to me.

It is a boy! It was impossible to miss, because he was extremely uncooperative and kept showing his p___s...YAY! I am THRILLED...I feel like I can finally exhale...I am running a bath and am going to soak and then sleep...I am so happy that a lot of the worry has diminished...I wanted to hug our u/s tech...whew....good luck ladies!! Congrats to you Patience....here's to little guys!!!

Hey lades so theres a few of us having boys. Is this a boys only thread? Where are the grls? I wish i could share in the experience of not having a bump until later as mine is huge and giving me gyp. Backache city. I too am sick of the 'are you having twins' comments. And i havent put any weight on yet!! m pa__sed the 20wk mark! Its all just bump. In fact i think ive lost weight from my frame and its just moved into the bump at the front. So im levelling myself out kinda. This is my first succesful pregnancy so i wasnt expecting to show this early. Girls im sad, one of my friends on the loss and miscarriage forum has just lost her 3rd baby at 12wks and i am so desperetly sad for her. I feel terrible, she had the d+c yesterday but i only checked in today so i wasnt there for her. It made me appreciate my little bundle even more than i do already. I so hpe she gets over this but its not an easy thing to go through, i know. Its the worst pain in the world, physically and emotionally. Girls we should all be so gratefull to be here talking right now about our little ones. x x x
