Im still here. I will be 22 weeks on Thursday. Im glad Im more than halfway there. Im still getting pains in my stomach when I walk, I guess its just stretching and growing. Im starting to feel the baby more and more now. I also finally got my 2 year old moved into her big girl bed and room. The old room is so sad and empty looking, but soon it will have another little girl in it!!!

Hi Jess- What is your due date, I forgot? I will be 21 weeks tomorrow. I was thinking of moving my 19 month old lo into her big girl bed before December, do you think that's too early? How did it go for you? Did she have a problem transitioning? Well I have a coworker that is being tested for Fifth's Disease, they are pretty sure it's what she has. I am all freaked out now. I had bloodwork done when I told my OB but the results have not come back yet. I just can't believe this, I am so p__sed at her for coming in to work when she knew her son was sick. This chick calls in for every little thing!!! I am so worried and p__sed off!!!

Wow!! Thats awful! I cant believe she did that! I hope everything is okay. What happens if your blood work comes back and you have it or have been exposed to it? Try to stay calm, I know you probably dont want your 19 month old getting it either!! I would be really p__sed.
My dd did excellent with the transition to her big girl bed. It was no big deal. Of course she is 2/5 so she was more than ready. We did her room in Disney princesses and she loved it and was excited to sleep there. She hardly ever gets out of bed, once and a while about 10 minutes after we will lay her down she will get up and say she has to go pee pee, but thats usually it and she sleeps soundly until the morning. Lots of people I know did the transition well before 2.5yrs, usually around 18 months and they had a more difficult time but it still is only a few weeks before their lo's get used to it. Its probably a good idea since you have the new one coming soon.
My due date is 12/5.

My bloodwork won't be back til tomorrow. The risk is during the 1st 20 weeks= miscarriage. I was 20 weeks last wednesday but the thing is, she was contagious 4-14 days before the rash which was yesterday. The other risk is a specific type of anemia and hydroprops which is very dangerous to the baby. I am so F'ing mad!!! Of course now I feel a little stuffy and sore throat which is probably all in my head b/c of this. On a lighter note, I think I will try the big-girl bed in another month or too, we have to buy a new boxspring and mattress, she has the convertable crib that goes to full size. Of course the real problem is that dh has now gotten her used to sleeping in our bed. I know it's terrible. I should have remained strong, but I broke. Have you guys narrowed down any names yet? When is your next appt? I'm supposed to go on 8/15. Hows the weight gain, I know you were concerned about it and have been doing awesome. Colleen

My next appt is on Monday, 8/4. I cant wait to see if I have gained anything, I dont think I have, of course that probably means I will step on the scale and have gained a bunch. As of my last appt, last month, which was when I was 18 weeks I had gained nothing. So that was awesome!! I doubt that will continue but hopefully I can just keep it going up very slowly. I really cant wait until after the baby to do some serious dieting and excercise. I think this is it for me having children so its time for me to get back into shape and be a "hot mama". :o)
I am so sorry that you were exposed to that illness. That is extremely scary!! I will pray and cross my fingers that your blood work comes back ok. WHERE ARE ALL THE OTHER DECEMBER MOMS? LADIES WHAT DO YOU DO TO KEEP IN SHAPE AND ANYONE HAVE ANY GOOD EXCERCISE TO DO AFTER THE BABY, ESPECIALLY AFTER A C-SECTION?

Hey girls, Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Clindolm, I hope your results are fine - I am sure they will be. We are probably exposed to a lot more each day - the easy part is that we don't know we are exposed. Hang in there. Let us know how you make out tomorrow. I have my us in 2 weeks on 8/14. I will be 22 weeks then. I can't wait - I haven't picked out any names until I know what it is .

Hi girls, welcome micsmms3, you just breezed through the first tri & didn't even know it! Congrats on your little girl! Tara- how is your pregnancy going? Are you hoping for a boy or girl? Good luck at your scan. I finally heard from the on-call doctor (my doc is on vacation) and I'm immune! I guess I had it at some point, thank God! I was supposed to get my results last Thursday but just got jerked around until now. I was so worried b/c I started to get sick with what must have just been a cold, I feel much better now. I'm still quite mad at the co-worker that came in knowingly infected.

Hey Dec. mommies- I had my doctor appointment today. 22 weeks weeks and I have gained ZERO pounds. I am so, so happy. My stomach is measuring great. I have been having really weird cramps in the same place everytime I walk. They checked my cervix and said it felt fine, though I am going for an ultrasound next week for them to recheck it to make sure it is not weakening. I had a third degree tear in it during my first delivery so they are worried it might not be that strong now and they dont want me to go into preterm labor. I really dont want to go on bed rest so I hope everything is okay. I know I need to take it easy, I do too much lifting and carrying things. I try to walk everynight too and the doc told me to take a break on that for a while.

Hi girls, Clindolm, I am glad to hear you are doing well. That is the one thing that always worries me being a teacher of little children. My pregnancy is going well now. I am just hungry all the time. I was doing well with my weight gain. I gained alot with my son 11 years ago 98 lbs. I was on steroids for the last 6 weeks and that was c___ppy, causing an additional 25 lbs. THis time, I had only gained 10 as of 18 weeks, Now I am at 20 weeks, and I think I have gained another 7 lbs. I am pretty small, I started off at 112 this time. But it still scares me. I eat very healthy too - with the occasional ice cream... it's the summer!!!! ANyway, Jess, I have a boy, so a girl would be cool, but like ¥ou said, a healthy baby- I just want to have the scan so that I know. Knowing that they can tell, but having to wait stinks. It must be great not to gain alot of weight - I completely morph into somekind of cow - Not so far, but that's what happened with my 1st - Anyway, Rest up and relax - only a few months to go!!!!

Hi everyone. I know I have not been on in a while. I had my level 2 and it is a boy and everything looks normal. Clindholm I am glad you are immune. I always was paranoid about Fifths Disease so after my fourth baby I finally got tested and I am immune, I am also immune to toxoplosmosis, Anyway so I do have to go back this week to try to get a shot of the baby's ankle because he was sitting indian style and the right ankle was over the left and they want a pic of the left seperately but the tech told me before it was over that she did not get a good pic of the ankle so the doc said he is not concerned and expects it to be normal. I am feeling the baby move more every day. I am almost 19 weeks (on Wednesday). Well TTYL.

Thanks for welcome notes... much appreciated! This is my first, and it's completely unplanned. Took me, and my BF (his first too) by big surprise. I think he's in major shock actually- especially after the ultrasound today. freaking out about finances, and that we don't live in the right school district, we need a bigger house, etc. Gosh. I get where he's coming from, but seriously, I think we can make a plan for the future that makes everything fall into a better place for this child. I know we are already 5 months along, but, well there is time. I'm concentrating on all of the more immediate needs to be addressed, and a__suring that I'm being healthy and hoping that the baby is too. I'm 36 and he's 43- So I think we can do this ya know! (Sorry about the vent, and thanks...)
