What is the difference between placenta previa and subchorionic hematoma?

fefer1 - March 3

I think the hematoma is like a blood clot in our around the uterus/placenta and placenta previa is when the placenta is realy low and partially or fully covering the cervix. It's not a problem until late in pregnancy - delivery v____ally would be hard so they would do a c-section. Mine was low but it moved by 30 weeks.

both can cause bleeding - I guess they can seem very similar. They had a hard time diagnosing me when I had issues in my first pregnancy. I think the hematoma can be caused BY the pprevia - the blood builds up and clots and occasionaly breaks open and bleeds...can't remember exactly.
