Wow how exciting ladies, we're getting closer everyday. It feels good to be in a little bit safer of a place. I don't know about you but I'm excited. This is the trimester where we'll find out what we're having and finally start really showing!

I'm exactly 13 weeks today. I'm still waiting to hear the heartbeat, so I'm even MORE impatient than you! LOL. But all my symptoms are there and my jeans keep getting tighter, so at this point I'm not really worried, just REALLY impatient. How are you feeling? I'm tired and I'm still nauseaus, but it's manageable. Think I might need to go buy maternity jeans this weekend though, I don't fit into any of my jeans anymore. (Damn me for losing so much weight after my son was born!)

Keldalynn - August 1

I am starting here a few days early:) I had a great us Wednesday and feel much better about things as I move into the second trimester. I still did not hear the heart beat but I saw it...just as good if not better. The heart rate was 168 which was exactally what my daughters was around this time when I was pregnant with her...mayne she will get a sister? That would make things easy because I have all that stuff. I know this is kind of early to be thinking about but is a baby shower frowned upon for each child? The more I think about this I think every child should have a special day celibrated before they are born...I mean we give them a birthday party every year and nobody complains. I am not after all the presents but more wanting family and friends to come together for a celibration...I do not want to ruffel anyone's feathers...so, I am curious to know what you all think about having a baby shower for a second, third, forth (ect) baby...Is it taboo?

FlyBear - August 1

Keldalynn, I don't think there's anything wrong with having a baby shower for each of them at all. Where I'm from it's common to do a shower for each baby. My mom actually just got done helping her best friend throw one for her friend's daughter who was having her third baby. Spamanda... NO WAY are you more impatient than me! lol I haven't heard the heartbeat yet either... seen, not heard! OMG, I may not need a shower by the time I have the baby, I can't help myself, I buy something everytime I got to the mall or Wal-Mart or like last night we went out to grab a bite to eat and we pa__sed some kid store having a sale, I bought two outfits. I'm soooooo excited. This is our first. I can't wait.

Flybear -- I haven't even SEEN it, lol. I've got nothing. Other than the fact that everything "seems" to be going fine. And since it's all going fine, no early ultrasound, nothing. So I have to wait until the 14th to be sure that everything is okay.... it's making me crazy. Luckily I have a nice, long vacation next week, so that will help.

I'm a February momma too (due the first). This is our second baby and we're really excited! I'm a bit nervous as our ds is not quite 8 months yet, but it'll be fun. I tell dh that having a 14 month old and a newborn will either keep me young or age me REALLY fast! :) We had our first ultrasound on Monday and found out that we were 13 wks 1 day. I never got a cycle after ds so I "missed" most of the first trimester. I feel kind of ripped off which confuses dh who thought I'd be jumping for joy. It's just going so fast and the faster my pregnancy goes, the faster my son gets to being one...yikes! Hope you all are feeling well and get some good reports on your beans! I kind of thought I'd be used to how pregnancy feels and knowing there's someone in there, but I still started to cry when I saw and heard that heartbeat. There is just something so precious about that three inch long little person! :)

SO EXCITED TO BE HERE! Second trimester is treating me well. I'm not sick anymore and I like food again! Had an ultrasound yesterday at what was 13w0d but baby measured 13w6d. I m sure of the dates, then the US tech looked at my hubby (who is 6'5") and said "oh, its just a tall one" Here's the weird thing. She asked me if I wanted to know the s_x if she could tell. I was like wait isn't it way to early??? I have read some literature that says the s_x organs develop at 13 weeks and a highly skilled US tech with good equipment can see s_x. So she says, I'll say 51% girl! Now what the heck is 51%!!!! I could have given those odds! Bad thing is I really want a girl and now I'm afraid at 19 wks they will see BOY and I will be disappointed and feel like a bad mom! Anyone ever hear of acurate s_x prediction at 13-14 wks??? Anyway, they said baby looks healthy and thats most important!!! Heart rate was 154, really different than my son who was 180 at this point! And baby was REALLY active, just like my sone always was!!! Sorry to ramble!!!!

Hey everyone! I have a Dr's appointment Wednesday. We're probably just doing some blood work and whatever else. I won't have an ultra sound again until about 20-22 weeks. :( I like seeing my baby and knowing he/she's doing well. I'm hoping they try the doppler again though and that we actually get to hear something. They only tried once when I was about 8 1/2 weeks and we couldn't hear. Anyways, I'm still getting nauseous in the mornings some. And is anyone else freaking dying to know what they're having? Okay Spamanda, you win! lolWhen is your next appointment?

aaaaaaaaaa - August 4

Wow I had no idea there was a second trimester thread already. I'm due the very very end of Feb so I'm still only like 10.5 weeks. Oh well. Still havent even been to the doc yet - I go a week from today.

callmeshawty22 - August 4

hey ladies. I'm not to the second trimester yet. I'm only 9 weeks. I'm due March 9 but I am going to have a schedule c section which will probably be the last week in Feb so that would make me a Feb mom. Keldalyn, this is my third but i will probably have a baby shower. I never had one with my first two so this will actually be my first baby shower.

CaliPitGirl - August 4

I'll be 13 weeks on Wednsday but I've been showing a tiny bit for about 2 weeks. Dr. says it is because I was a bit underweight to start with. So at 12 weeks I had gained 15lbs....seems like a lot to me. I have started to get my energy back and my nausea is getting so much better I am able to remember on my own to give my husband some much needed "special time", LOL! I started a journal which I hope this baby will be interested to read when they get older.

TinaMarie - August 4

Hello! I was just wondering if you had room for 1 more. I am due in Feb also. Feb 13 to be exact! I would have a place to chat with other moms going through the same exciting things going on!!

TinaMarie - August 4

opps, that was supposed to be, I would love to have a place to chat with other moms.....did I mention I am the typo queen?? LOL

Smile - August 5

Here I am... officially 12 weeks-ish! I'm still having a hard time getting happy about this baby. I want it... but I hate being pregnant. ( I didn't like it with my other two either.) Glad to hear everyone is doing great with their pregnancies and very excited. :) Just think... 3 more months and we'll be joining the third trimester board. Eeeek!

FlyBear - August 7

We heard our baby's heartbeat for the first time yesterday! :) My OB measured my uterus and said everything looks normal. At my next appointment on the 27th they are going to set up my U/S to find out gender. I'm so excited. I really want to know what I'm having.
