We heard our baby's heartbeat for the first time yesterday! :) My OB measured my uterus and said everything looks normal. At my next appointment on the 27th they are going to set up my U/S to find out gender. I'm so excited. I really want to know what I'm having.

Hi ladies it has been a while but I have been so busy with my dd's 1st birthday. I went to the doc today and I am actually DOWN 11 lbs!!! She told me I need to increase my calorie intake. Other then that everything is great. We heard the heart beat again AND scheduled the big U/S for Sept. 8th. I think we will wait to find out the s_x on this one though (this is number 3 and our last). As for the morning sickness I am 14.5 weeks and still throw up at least once a week hence the weight loss. Breezieb: with my 2nd I felt the first movement around 16 weeks and by 18 it was all the time. That is what I am most excited about. I hope in about 2 weeks I can feel this one move!!! Hope everyone is having a great 2nd trimester. ENJOY it...every bit of it. Because take it from some one who knows....it all goes by so fast.

Woohoo, yay 2nd trimester! Hopefully the nausea will subside soon. I actually got some prescription meds to help me with it from my midwife, and yay, what a lifesaver they are. I heard the baby's heartbeat, it was 159 at 10 weeks. She found it very quickly, so that was very exciting. Gosh, I can't believe how fast time is flying. We are going to wait to find out the s_x of the baby, although it will be very hard say no we don't wanna know when they ask at the U/S appt. We waited with our first, and it was such a nice surprise, and I was right, I thought my son was going to be a boy the minute I found out I was pregnant. I feel like this one might be a little girl - so we'll see if how correct the mother's intuition is. I truly don't have a preference this time around (I really wanted a boy the first time). And yes, I also have bladder control issues when I throw up, that sooooo sucks, doesnt' it!

I am so relieved to be in the second trimester! And I am getting so big!!! Is anyone else? I cannot do the rubber band trick anymore, I have to wear maternity pants- Yikes! My uterus has not popped out or anything, but I think it is just pushing everything else (including my belly fat) up and out. I am looking forward to finding out the s_x. September 17 !!! I feel like it is a boy, which is what my dh and I want. Has anyone had a 4-D ultrasound?

kim-h -- our hospital does 4D ultrasounds. In fact, they do them for everyone. It's very cool, slightly creepy, lol. We had a couple with my first pregnancy due to some bleeding, but haven't had one yet this time around. I just bought my first pair of maternity jeans, too. Haven't had the guts to wear them to work yet, though. I'll have to soon.

Hi Ladies, New to this thread. I am 14 weeks and due on Feb 9th. I conceievd via IVF so i have been fortunate enough to have ultrasounds every 2 weeks starting at 6 weeks. It has been amazing to watch it progress. I was released to a regular OB at 12 weeks and she will does not do her ultrasounds until 20 weeks. But i do get to hear the heart beat when i go in for my regular check ups on the doppler. Always reasurring. My friend is in school to be an ultrasound tech so they will pay me to come in to cla__s and let them give me an ultrasound, i am hoping i can tell the s_x at that time too. (going in at 16 weeks) Has anyone ever been able to tell the s_x at 16 weeks?

Hey everyone. I haven't been on in while, but it's nice to see everyone is doing so well. I don't remember if I said so or not last time but when I last went to the dr they pa__sed me off the OB officially and he gave me a more accurate due date, February 9! Also, I've found something a lot worse than losing control of my bladder when I vomit and that's vomiting in the middle of getting romantic with your dh! I had to jump up and run to the bathroom and even though he was sweet and understanding I was on the verge of crying. I felt so bad. Anyways, at my next visit on the 27th I'll set up my next visit which should be to get my u/s to find out the gender. We're extatic. We both want a little girl! We'll see. We'll be happy either way. Oh and Breezie, I'm not in maternity pants yet but I can only wear a couple pairs of my normal pants and I pretty much rotate them everyday, luckily I don't work with any other women and men just don't really seem to care! lol

MaiTime -- I think we were able to tell at about 17/18 weeks last time around. They didn't give us a FOR SURE until later though (I also had a 22 week ultrasound due to bleeding).
