Hey, I am in Puyallup. I grew up in Mountlake terrace and then lived in Seattle. Are you originally from the area?

Hey there! I was born in Yakima but have been here since I was 4 or 5. :) I grew up in Bellevue but when I got married we bought a house in Renton - more affordable if you know what I mean! :) I think you said you were a SAHM in one of your posts...somewhere...you have a one year old and are due in July, right? My dd will be 2 in September and we're having a boy around June 2. Hope you're feeling better! I had the stomach flu twice in Jan and just got over a nasty cold or flu.

I'm in Vancouver... Washington that is. How far is Yakima and Puyallup from here? I hear the names all the time but obviously they must be far enuff away that you dont hear of many trips there... Anyway just thought I'd introduce myself. ((Krissy)) and I am waiting for my little girl June 19-23 (we don't know cuz she is constantly measuring different)

hi Krissy - Vancouver is about 2 hours south of Renton and Puyallup...Yakima is Eastern WA. Congrats on your girl..is this your first??? I seem to remember your name from the past.

Hi ladies, yeah, we bought in puyallup in 2002 because it was so affordable. Now we wish we hadn't. my hubby works for McKinstry in downtown Seattle, and all my family is in Shoreline and Lynnwood. Hey fefer1, my daughter just turned two on the 9th and the baby is due july 24th. I am feeling a little better today, but stil like c___p. My hubby took care of Madalyn all day yesterday, and I stayed in bed. He is doing the same thing today so I can rest more. He will stay home tomorrow also. My name is Mandi and I am 32, what about you gals?

krissy2006 - February 24

Hi fefer and Mandi, I am Krissy (rolls eyes) sorry for insulting your intelligence but just thought I'd throw that out there and I am 23 married for 1 yr and 3 months but with my hubby for going on 8 years now. We are originally from Los Angeles, CA but moved up here because my family had all moved up here and we were lonely. LOL... Fefer, I knew it had to be some distance away because I dont hear those names mentioned very often around here. Yes this little one is my first and we are accestatic! How about ya'll? Obviously Mandi has a DD but what about you fefer? Oh and Mandi I answered your post about kitties. Isn't it just so adorable the attention they are giving us?!? Granted it can be annoying at times when you don't have time to sit down and acknowledge them like when you're cooking or doing laundry but still adorable none-the-less.

Fortunately my husband works for Boeing in Renton so it's a perfect commute for him - and my sister lives about a mile away. Very convenient for babysitting! :) So my name is Heather - fefer was the name a friends daughter gave me when she was 2 - and I just turned 34. Been married for just about 3 years and Krissy, I have a 17 month old daughter. I was working part time (12hrs a week) but once baby #2 comes around I don't know how it's going to work. My sister has 4 kids (15,14,8 and 4) and might not be interested in 2 extra kids. :) I love to work a bit though, for my own sanity. I love my dd but I'm sooo active that I want to keep myself in the workforce at least a little bit - they will grow up eventually and I don't want it to be hard to get back into it. I do some bookkeeping/accounting type work. I had a job working from home but the company split up and my job went away. :( It was PERFECT too. Bummer. I know what it's like to be sick Mandi. I was sick on my birthday, sick 3 weeks later, sick on Valentines day...my dd was sick (throwing up sick) and now my dh has a nasty cold/sore throat. We just took him to the dr to make sure he didn't have strep. He's been sick since Thursday and that means I have to do EVERYTHING round here. It's the weekend which I looove to have help on. It's hard work taking care of kids and you need a break every now and then. Poor thing though, guys really aren't very good at being sick. :)

Hey ladies. I have it pretty good. My hubby has just taken over, even though he still isn't feeling that well. My hubby really is great and he understands that I really need my rest, more so than he does. Being pregnant and having the flu really knocks you on your a__s. I have the pre show academy awards red carpet thing on and they are talking to Jessica Alba, she is in her third trimester and I look more pregnant than she does. I hate her. And what the hell is wrong with Kate Blanchette, she looks like an anorexic man. She is not attractive at all. Then there is Cameron Diaz, her face is so round that it looks like a complete circle... just odd. Anyway, I am just fat and feeling very unattractive and feel the need to pick apart some celebrities.

Fefer1, I hated working. I told my hubby from day one that I wasn't a working girl. When I was five months pregnant with my daughter I got fired. The doctor I was working for told me that it was too hard having a pregnant dental a__sistant. i could have sued him, but we decided to just collect the unemployment and let it go. A fter that I just told my hubby I wasn't going to get another job, that I wanted to stay home and he said okay. It was tight at first, but then things got a lot easier. Now it is no problem and I love being home with Madalyn. After the baby is born My hubby will be home for two week and then my mom will be here for three or four days, then my mother in law will be coming for a week or so. This way I will have a bout a month of help. I just don't want Madalyn to feel like she is being pushed to the back burner. I am hoping things are okay with my MIL here she usually bugs the c___p out of me. I know she thinks I am high maintainance, and fussy when it comes to my kids. I don't think so. We come from completely different backgrounds. She was rised in the sticks, very poor, eating c___p food and smoking cigarettes, and thinks that all of that is alright. Me on the other hand, I don't agree with her ways. It will be nice to have another set of hands, and my hubby a__sured me that her will talk to her about the ground rules before she comes, and hanle any conflicts that may arise after she is here. If I have any problems with her it is his responsibility to talk to her and make it right. Things are way better recieved if they comes from him, like it is his concern and not my b___hing. Other than that, I like her just fine in her trailer in Texas. LOL!!

that stinks about your job - but you're happy now so it's all good! :) My dh will take about 2 weeks off too which will be very nice with a second child!! My dd will only be 21 months when our ds is born - still a loooot of work! I'd like to say my mom will come visit but I doubt it. My sister is about the only one who will be much help - and she lives sooo close. We are so done after this. I was so sick I had to take meds early on just to eat and drink. I actually wish my MIL would visit - she's in Kansas and totally dotes on you and takes care of everything. That would be SWEET! Oh, I saw Jessica Alba - I hate her too! How unfair. I went from 125 to 150...last time I checked. :) grrrrrr....

mjvdec01 - February 24

My last pregnancy I went from 150 to 197!!! then I got down to 145 after she was born. This time I told the nurse that I didn't want to know. After my 6 weeks postpartum I will be getting a personal trainer 2 days a week. I have also heard great things about the medifast program. It's about $300 a month, but I need that kind of structure. A personal trainer is great for me because \I will know that someone is waiting for me and I hate to disappoint. I am 32 now and find it harder and harder to exercise and eat healthy, especially with a toddler. When I was younger I was in great shape and only weighted 118 punds. It was great and I could wear anything. I am really looking forward to after the birth when I can get back on track. A girlfriend of mine and I have tenatively made plans to go to Las Vegas and I WILL be in great bathing suit shape.

mjvdec01 - February 24

Heather, do you think your hubby could get his mother to come after he goes back to work?

fefer1 - February 25

I can't wait to get back in shape. I used to be so active but with a newborn it was hard and then Igot pregnant again...cant' wait to have my body to myself again!!!! :) I'd like to try to get my MIL to come, but they NEVER go anywhere. The only time they have been to see us in 4 years was for our wedding. :)

mjvdec01 - February 25

Try crying, that always seems to work well. Have your hubby tell her how you really, really need her. Maybe that would work?

fefer1 - February 26

haha -somehow I don't think I can pull that one off. :) I'll give it a try though!

Hi, I finally slept for about two hours. Hey, have you bought your nursery furniture yet? There is a new place where USA Baby used to be... 720 Andover, over by Southcenter Mall. It's called Cribs 2 Bunks. They have better quality furniture at prices comparable to Babies "R" Us. I went and bought nursery furniture there a couple of weeks ago but it hasn't come in yet. If you haven't made a purchase yet you should go check it out. I know there are two Andovers... not sure which one it is. I can check. Anyway, I am so excited to be having a boy. I am just concerned that my being sick for so long hasn't been good for the pregnancy. My OB is moving to another office this week, so I think on monday I will call and get an appointment to just hear the heartbeat. I think that will make me feel a lot better.
