34 weeks, SORRY! I lost track. I can't stand Krispy Kreme doughnuts. I have tried them a few times and they always left a greasy feeling in my mouth. Maybe it was just the kind I had, I don't know. Lunch went well. Madalyn ate an entire corn dog and a handful of fries, she is also learning how to drink through a straw... finally! Do you want to get together this week? Wednesday is the only day that wouldn't work for me.

bummer - I work on Wednesdays...My dr appt is thursday and Friday is my only open day. :( Next week - I work Mon and Weds and I THINK the rest of the week is open. I MIGHT be helping a friend on the 3rd - as her "day of" wedding coordinator. She has someone else that really wants to do it (which I kind of hope they do) and will let me know on Weds. I'm so tired that I want any time I can get to myself these days. :) But, I'll do it. Weddings are special! Glad Madalyn is learning to drink from a straw! that's great! Rachel keeps wanting to drink out of a regular cup but then dumps it everywhere. I want her to learn but it's soooo messy!! MMM - a corn dog sounds so good! yum!

Friday would be fine. Do you want to meet at the Supermall at 10am?

mjvdec01 - April 23

I can't get together this week. Madalyn has a fever and the pediatrician said it is a virus that needs to run it's course. I don't want to expose her to anyone, especially you and Rachel. I have been giving her Motrin since yesterday afternoon, and as soon as the 6 hours is up, the fever increases again. Last night it was 100.4 and this morning it was 101.4. I really hope this doesn't keep up all through the weekend. At least she has an appet_te at this point and is napping right now. I hope you are doing well. Did you finish painting the closet?

fefer1 - April 23

oh bummer! I hope she feels better soon - and I DON"T want to get sick!! :) I've been sick enough this year! I don't have the energy for it anymore. :) I didnt' get a chance to paint the closet, but we did put in all new outlets and covers - white ones - and put up crown moulding to hide the imperfections where the ceiling and wall meet. We sc___ped the popcorn c___p off the ceiling when we moved in and there are lots of little bumps in that crease that were hard to get rid of - and hard to paint. I need to clean out the closet so I can paint and I can't paint when Rachel is around or sleeping - should have done it before I moved her in there! :) I need to get a manicure, pedicure and haircut - and have NO TIME!!! ugh...I feel overwhelmed with stuff over the next month - dont' know how I'm supposed to get everything done before jr gets here. :)

Tell me about it, I don't want to get sick either, the flu a couple months ago was more than my share. I just feel bad for Madalyn. I know she doesn't feel well, and she can't really tell me. :o{ She went down for a nap at 12:30 and it is now 10 minutes to 3pm, I hope she sleeps at least another 30 minutes. I am so excited for you only being 6 weeks away!! I can't wait to see your little man. My back has really been bothering me the past couple of days, it just aches. Jimmy tries to help by rubbing my back, and that is great, however, I can't let him touch where it is really hurting because the pain is too much. I will be 27 weeks tomorrow, so that means 12 weeks until my induction. Next tuesday is my 3D ultrasound and I can hardly wait to see this little guy. My next check is at 30 weeks and then I go bi-weekly. EVERY TWO WEEKS! I remember with Maddy when I got to that stage. It all becomes very real, very fast. Once your count down hits the single digits, it starts to get exciting. I keep thinking about what the birth will be like. Will I have a shorter labor than last time? Will it be easier on me? Will my epidural be more effective than it was with Maddy? What if the answer to all those questions is a big fat, "NO"?! I am starting to freak a little. I am glad to hear that the room is done except for the closet, what a load off. We should make a plan to get together next friday. We only have a couple more weeks before you are out of commission for a bit. Have a good day, I'll talk to you later.

hi there - yeah, lets plan on next friday. :) I have an appt today and then in 2 weeks it's every week! yikes!!! I hate that part - the exams. ick. :) Your delivery is going to go just fine - don't stress about it. I had a friend who's epidural only partially worked and she hated it but at least she had SOME relief. :) I saw your post about your dh - and I'm glad things are going better. I ripped into Tim a few times for spending too much time working out or working on projects in the garage instead of hanging out with us even though he was doing stuff for the house. haha...he just wasn't doing it WHEN I wanted him to. I'm getting so hormonal all of a sudden. As for the body aches, strangely enough I'm feeling really good! My pelvic pain just went away and my back doesn't hurt. It's so weird! I have a little pain in the groin muscle area on my left side but even that is really minor - only hurts at night when I roll over and it's not that bad anymore. Kind of odd I think but I'll take it! Well I have to hit the shower so I can get to my appt her in a bit. Can't wait to see what a little piggy I've been in the last 2 weeks! :)

fefer1 - April 24

hey there-well, my dr appt went just fine, except for Rachel's tantrums. She screamed at me, pouted, sat on the floor, tried to bite me...ran away from me...ugh. It was a 12:30 appt which was late and then of course, Rachel got tired and really crabby. I only gained 3 lbs in 2 weeks so that's nice, I guess! :) My next appt is on the 6th and then it's every week!!!! Yikes! She's doing the full on exam next time with the GBS test. Can't wait! Man, I'm starving!!!! I can't seem to eat enough these days - and I don't want to just pig out and gain a ton of weight. I wish I could find something that filled me up longer than an hour. I used to love to eat but now I'm tired of it. Never thought I'd say that!

It is awful when kids decide they don't want to cooperate! I'm glad to hear that your appointment went well. I know what you mean about the internal exams, THEY HURT! Especially the last couple of them. So, will you be exactly 35 weeks on sunday? I just turned 27 weeks today. I just want this to be over with. I hate being pregnant, but I love the baby part. Nathan is really active, more so than I remember Maddy being at this point. I do love to feel him move, especially when I can watch my tummy bump out, but then there are times when I just want him to GO TO SLEEP, so I can too. I have to eat all the time too, I have a meal and then two hours later I am hungry again. Can you imagine the size we would be if we ate like this normally?! Scary! Next friday is great. The only thing is that I forgot that my girlfriend Paula was planning on coming down that day. Would it be alright with you if she met us also? If not I can have her come out a bit later. She has no kids, but loves to shop. It's up to you. Let me know.

fefer1 - April 25

hey there - that's fine about next friday. No big deal to me. I will be 35 weeks on Monday - yay! I'm so freakin tired!!! I can't sleep now - my hips/thighs/arms fall asleep when I lay on them for very long now. I hate it!!! The tylenol isn't working anymore either. :( I'm SO ready to have this baby!!

mjvdec01 - April 25

You are on the home stretch and there is definitely no going back now. YOU CAN DO IT! I got the results from my glucose screen in the mail today... negtive for GD, but I am anemic, and I have to take iron. Whatever, I can handle another pill, and I am so relieved not to have GD. Well, Maddy is still getting up at an ungodly hour, I hate it. I also found out yesterday that my thyroid is out of whack again. My pcp had to adjuat my dosage again. I have to have another blood draw in three weeks as well. I am sitting at the computer eating s'mores. One of my kitties is here with me and he wants my marshmallows. He is a strange cat, he eats soap, lotion, chews my metal chairs, eats coffee beans or grounds and won't clean his own b___t hole! But he will clean my other kitties a__s. Any now he is eating marshmallows!

fefer1 - April 26

how funny! My cat loves bleach - the smell. I don't need to waste any money on catnip - just spray some 409 in the tub or sink and he goes crazy! He eats weird things too - like avacado, garlic, onions...cats are so strange. :) Oh, he goes CRAZY

fefer1 - April 26

...oops...over red licorice. He knows the sound of the package and will not leave you alone until he gets some. I left some on the counter once and the package was empty later. I think he gobbled up one red vine whole once. Crazy. Anyways, about your iron - if you don't get an RX for it, go to the pharmacy and ask if they have the iron. I asked the pharmacist what pill to take and they had some special stuff already bottled up behind the counter for preggo moms - or anemic people. They are fun little green pills! How low did they say your iron was? Mine was a 26 I think...can't remember now. I think the pills are helping somewhat even though I'm still tired. I think part of it is just the pregnancy part. I just finished painting Rachel's closet today - yay!!! I was going to weed this afternoon but Tim moved all the garden tools into the shed in the back yard - and it's too much work for me to walk back there to get them. I told him to leave them in the garage but...sometimes he just doesn't listen!! :) How are things going at home with the hubby??? Sorry you are still getting up early - If it makes you feel any better, I don't sleep at all and every morning at 6am I am wide awake - no matter how late or how little sleep I got. It sucks. I really wish the tylenol PM would work. I've got that restless leg syndrome thing going on now too. Thought I was going to be free of it this time but nope, it just hit me this week. Hey, did you get any stretch marks the first time around? If so, when did you get them? I didn't with Rachel and am freaked out that I will get them like crazy this time. My skin is SOOO dry so I don't get why I didn't get any - and it's even drier this time. My hands and arms are so scaly and flaky - not matter how much water I drink or lotion I use. I hate it!!! Yuck! Ok - I'll quit writing a book. :) I need to go shower and take a nap so I'm rested for our evening out - going to the Keg and a movie!! I loooove movies - I need to see as many as I can before "HE" arrives. :)

Cats are very odd. Anyway, we had a whole day planned and it didn't exactly turn out the way we had wanted. I told you that Maddy had a fever last week, well, this afternoon we went to lunch and then our first stop was Home Depot for some paint I need for Nathan's room. We were at Home Depot and Maddy needed a diaper change, so, I took her in to the ladies room to change her. When I took off her pants she had these big red welts all over her right leg. Then I lifted her shirt and her entire chest and tummy was covered with a red rash. I freaked a little, and Jimmy and I went straight to the pediatrician to the walk in side. I was so concerned because when I had her to the peditartician last week he specifically asked about a rash and at the time she didn't have one. I didn't know what a rash would mean coupled with the other symptoms she had last week. Plus, last night she woke up at 11:30 just screaming a complaining of a tummy ache, she did have gas, but it just seemed so severe. She would stiffen up like a board and didn't want to be put down. Finally after 2 hours! She seemed okay and went back to sleep. Needless to say, she woke up at 6:22am. It was Jimmy's morning to get up with her so he is totally wiped out today. Anyway, I had all these things I wanted to do, and all I got was paint. Jimmy taped the upper half of the room, so I am going to paint tonight after I put Maddy down in about 15 minutes. That is great that you and Tim get to go out tonight. Jimmy and I have no babysitter and he is playing poker with some friends this evening. I like movies too. It is the perfect date night activity for pregnant women. You get to sit on your but and eat while someone else entertains you. I got to sleep until about 10am this morning and I am still exhausted. Maddy's cartoon is over and I have to get her upstairs to brush her teeth and put her to bed. Hope you have a great night!

wow - a bad rash? What did the dr say? Sorry you couldn't get more done - I've had days like that myself. It was soo nice to get out last night! We went to the Keg and I gobbled up every last bite of my meal and I was still hungry! I couldn't believe it! I've been totally starving lately. I had a big bowl of cereal this morning and 30 minutes later I was still hungry so I made an egg/bagel sandwich - then went to starbucks and had some banana bread, came home a bit later and ate a big bowl of chili - I'm ok for the moment. :) Oh, we saw that movie called "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and it was ok. It was a bit more nasty than I thought it would be -friends told me it was really funny so we went. But I saw more weiner than I ever thought I'd see in a movie, kinda gross. The guys next to us said were gonna leave if they saw it one more time! :) It was nice to sit on my b___t though - but I almost fell asleep in the movie I was soooo tired from all the weeding I did! Stupid of me, but I couldn't help it, they were driving me nuts! Did I tell you I got out of the wedding coordinator thing next weekend? I'm sooo happy about it! She had another friend who was DYING to do it - and he would have had hurt feelings if he couldn't do it so...yay! I'm free!!! I'm just too tired to do anything. I got to stay in bed till 8am today - Tim got up at 6:30 - then took care of Rachel when she got up - but I still feel like I didn't sleep at all. I'm really really ready for this to be over. I really forgot how tired you got at this stage - or maybe it's worse because I have a child to take care of on top of it all. Rachel is taking a nap now and all I want to do is clean and organize and work in the yard - and I should just take a nap. I feel so lazy though! All I do is take care of her, nap, take care of her and go to bed. :)

mjvdec01 - April 28

Lots of weiner, huh, maybe Jimmy would like that one!! LOL. The doctor said it was the sign they look for to tell them that the virus she had, had run it's course. Either that or she had Strep, which they tested for and it was negative. So, she is all better now. I'm glad you had a good evening... PIGGIE!! I have a hard time eating enough lately, but I still want to eat everything. I am also not eating as well as I should be. Anyway, we got a lot done around here today. The house is spotless, and the yard is almost completely cleaned up. In addition I have gotten a great start on Nathaniel's room. Jimmy and my brother are going to finish it on may 24th, after family portraits. Well, I need a shower and to get to bed. Talk to you later. :o}
