4 weeks to go!!!!

fefer1 - May 5

hey there -that's great, I didn't know you were able to get the 4d! Awesome! :) Yay for me - 4 weeks!! Tomorrow is my lovely appointment - can't wait to see how things are progressing. ;) I'm totally beat though - after shopping friday and then going to that consignment sale that same night just about killed me. Al weekend I could hardly walk. My pelvic area feels like I've been kicked and my back is starting to hurt. I THINK he has dropped some because it just feels different - but I have a hard time telling. He feels so much lower to me - physically. It just hurts more down low. I don't know if I'm going to be able to get together this week - with my cousin coming, watching my niece 2 days and working 2 I think I might overdo it. We are heading out of town friday and I have to clean my house for my cousin thursday night - and pack. Everything takes twice as long now.:) And...when tim is home he's out working on our new patio so I don't really get a break from Rachel till she goes to bed. I totally know how you feel with the whining. Rachel is in her tantrum mode - no is not acceptable to her. She flails around, hits me and tries to bite me. She's likke a rabid little animal at times! :) I can't wait for this stage to end!!!!

I completely understand your not wanting to get together. With just 4 weeks to go you have to be very uncomfortable. We will just have to see how things go from here on out. We might not see each other again until after you are recovered, and by then I may be out of commission. We definitely have to get together with the babies when they both get here. It would be nice if we could find babysitters for the girls and get together with just our little guys! We could pretend for a few hours that we only have one child... THAT DOESN'T ARGUE OR TALK! How great would that be?! I am so excited for you. I will be 29 weeks on thursday. When we first got together, I was 20 weeks and you were 27. It's weird it doesn't seem like it has been almost three months since we met on this forum. I think that guys have an easier time making new friends than women. I don't know why? Anyway, Maddy had no nap today, but it was fine. I took her to a maternity shop with me that is right around the corner from home, and then to the park for a bit. She wasn't crabby or anything after lunch, so she went across the street to my friend Julie's to play with her boys for about 2 hour so I could go to the mall alone. I had to get outfits for Maddy and my nephew for family portraits on the 24th. Apparently Maddy was and angel, and when I told her it was time to go home she didn't want to leave. During dinnner she started to show the signs of a tired toddler. I took her upstairs for bed at 7:30, and now she is out like a light. THANK GOD! Anyway, have a great night and I will talk to you soon.

hey there - one of the girls on the june forum just had her baby a month early! Cinco de Mayo baby! She's been on bedrest for a while and having to take medication to keep her contractions at bay - but she had an amnio yesterday and thinks that sent her straight into labor. She had a c-section though, the baby had a knot in the cord. But as far as we know he was totally healthy! She was due the day before ME!!!!! I'm next on the list!!! I have my appointment in a couple of hours - can't wait to see how things are going! I had one lady at the grocery store tell me the baby had dropped and the next day another lady said he was still high. :) So funny when strangers give you their opinions. I think he's dropping though - things look lower to me but who knows, maybe he just moved to a different position. Oh, I had to shave my legs real good today and that was quite a challenge. :) haha...I hate that part. Oh, did I tell you Rachel started saying Mamma on Saturday? I had a friend stop by and she asked if she was saying it yet and Rachel just blurts out "mamma" for her! Now she says it all the time. Last night when I was gone she kept going over to a picture of me and saying mamma and crying over and over. Tim said it was really cute. :) Made MY day - my little mothers day gift! :) Anyways, we can probably get together NEXT week. I work Monday and Weds and Tuesday is my dr appt and lunch with a friend but Thursday and Friday are open so far. I'll probably have my niece but I don't have any plans. Let me know what your schedule looks like!

fefer1 - May 6

guess what - I'm 3cm and 80% effaced -the dr told me to be on an almost mini-bedrest so I don't deliver this week. I totally freaked out. Now Tim doesn't want me to go to Yakima. :( He's calling the dr to ask her if she thinks I should go now. grrr! I'm not worried about it - she didn't actually PUT me on bedrest, just told me to take it easy. I'm so frustrated now. I hate feeling like I'm out of time - when really, the baby could come in a few weeks instead of this week. So ... just letting you know that I'm getting close!

mjvdec01 - May 6

If you are 3cm now, then that pretty much ensures that as soon as labor starts, you will get your epidural!! You are more brave than I would be at 3cm. I wouldn't want to go anywhere. If Tim gets his way, then you won't be going to Yakima this weekend. By the way, where will you be delivering? I would love to be able to call after your delivery. I am so excited for you. Now let me tell you about my day... Maddy slept in until 8:30, so I thought that signified the start of a good day, I was wrong. Everything was pretty good until we got to the grocery store. It was also lunch time, so I bought her a corndog at the deli and made sure her cup was full before we left the house. Anyway, she ate all the breading off the corndog and then would bit in to the hot dog part chew it a bit and spit it on the floor! I kept having to bend down and pick up half chewed food. Then she was pressing the hot dog to her new top, and trying to get me to hold it, then she dropped the whole thing on the floor and I had to throw it away. Fast forward to naptime. I put her down and she got up twice. Then I am downstairs on the computer and I thought I heard something, thought maybe it was the cats. Then I heard it again. I got up and saw both my kitties on the couch in the living room and then realized that Maddy was up and being very quiet for some reason. The gate at the top of the stairs was closed, but I could see and heat my bedroom door moving a bit. I got to the top of the stairs and pushed on my door a bit. Maddy came out very gingerly and stood in front of me on the other side of the gate. I could't quite put together what I was looking at. Then Maddy said, "Momma, a nip goss" (mama lip gloss). She had gotten in to the VASELINE that was in the bottom drawer of her changer. It has been there since before she was born and It never dawned on me to move it. Actually it is... was, never used. I said to her, "no, baby that is NOT lip gloss" I took her arm and walked her back to her room and she started to cry. I told her that mommy wasn't mad, but I think she could tell that I wasn't excited either. The stuff was everywhere. She smeared it all over the front of the changer, all over the doors in the hall and the handles, there were big globs of it all over the carpet throughout the hallway. Not to mention that it was all over her face in big globs from the nose down. Her hands were encased with the stuff and it was piled up inbetween her fingers. I saw my girlfriend Julie in her garage and called to her for help. She came over and we got the mess cleaned up. Then I gave Maddy a bath. I am so glad she didn't put her hands in her hair. When Jimmy gets home in about an hour I need to go buy some Dawn dishwashing liquid to get it out of her NEW CLOTHES! Atleast what she was wearing was light colored, so if I can't get it all it shouldn't look too bad. Jimmy is going to be home early tonight. I called him in tears after my ordeal at the grocery store and asked him to leave early. The vaseline encounter just solidifies my need for him coming home early. I hope Rachel has been better for you today than Maddy has been for me. Take it easy and get some rest. If and when you go in to labor, please let me know. Either post or call me, whichever is easier. Have a good evening.

hey there - sorry about your day. :) K ids! They are so crazy! Rachel got into my tums the other day and I about had a heart attack. She just dumped them on the floor and didn't eat them. I don't know how she reached them on my dresser. Got to find a better place now! So we aren't going this weekend. The nurse called Tim and said I could go tonight or next week, but that my cervix is VERY favorable which means it could come at anytime. I can't believe it. I don't really feel that different - I have had the runs for the last day or two, sorry if that's TMI, and feel kind of nauseated today but it could be the iron. BUT, my mom said to send Rachel with my sister and she would watch her this weekend!!! :) I'm SOOOOO going to do that!! I can go get my mani/pedicure and get my hair cut, go to a movie - do whatever!! I'm so excited. My grandma will becoming back on Sunday afternoon with my cousin and my mom will be here Monday morning to take my gma to her doctors appointments. I'm kind of nervous now that our day is getting so close. I haven't even done the baby's laundry, picked a name or bought any diapers!! My shower is next weekend too - ugh. Oh, I'm delivering at Overlake- and I will certainly let you know when we have him - you can visit too if you're up to it, I don't mind. I need to make sure I have your cell#...and put it in my phone.

mjvdec01 - May 7

That is so great that your mom has volunteered to watch Rachel all weekend. So Rachel will be in Yakima all weekend? You and Tim can do whatever you want. I just don't feel comfortable sending Maddy to my mom's overnight. I think I am too controlling (who am I kidding, I know I am). It's not at all that I don't trust my mom, I do. She just doesn't do things EXACTLY like I do. I know I just need to get over it. My mom did ask to have Maddy over night this week, but I there is no way she would sleep over there without me or Jimmy. She won't sleep in the bed with my mom either (or us for that matter). Jimmy fell asleep in her bed with her once a few weeks ago and she woke up and pushed him and told him to, "get out". Plus if we did try it we would have to take the bedrails off of her bed at home and take them to her house which is a big pain in the a__s. I think once she turns three and can really communicate well, and understand everything you say that I will let her go. Anyway, I would love to visit after you deliver. My home # is 253-846-8302, and my cell is 253-230-6375. It is so exciting that you could go anytime. Ofcourse we want that little guy to bake as long as he needs to. So you and Tim aren't settled on James as a first name? Or are you just uncertian on a middle name? Maybe you need a book of names to get you started? Oh, my girlfriend Jessica (the one who delivered early and who's son was in the NICU) said that Huggies were the best for boys specifically. I don't know, I always used Pampers when Maddy was little. They just felt better to me. I guess Huggies are more absorbent in the front. The baby laundry shouldn't be a big deal, just tear off all the tags and thow it in with some dreft. There, I figured it all out for you, no problem. LOL. This morning I have Julie's youngest here. It's great when he is here Maddy and him play really well together which means that I can get some things done around the house, and get the check book balanced. Have a great day and try to keep that baby in ther a couple more weeks!

fefer1 - May 7

well, my sister will be there all weekend as well, and she watches rachel all the time and has 4 kids of her own. :) Rachel will get really spoiled - and she's very good about sleeping anywhere. Just send the pack n play and she's good to go. :) We're pretty lucky that way - she'll sleep at anyones house. I hope #2 is the same way. No, we aren't settled on James anymore. ugh...I've been looking through the books and can't decide on any name. We have a list but nothing is really jumping out at me. It's so hard this time!!! I did do some laundry last night so we have SOME baby clothes ready to go - as well as my clothes to take to the hospital. :) Ok, got your numbers in my phone! Oh, I woke up at 3am last night with cramping and a horrible back ache. I haven't had anything like that before. I got up to go pee and I thought for sure the baby was going to fall in the toilet. :) I have a lot of pressure down there! Yikes! I hope he stays healthy if he's early. I'm excited and nervous - and want to go crazy getting ready.

mjvdec01 - May 7

I don't think you are going to make it to your due date. Whatever name you decide on will seem perfect once you see him for the first time.

fefer1 - May 8

hey - i feel pretty good today, but I went outside when the delivery man showed up with the pavers and had a hard time walking around the yard. My tummy got all cramp. AND...my boss's wife came down with fifths disease and I was around her yesterday. She brought food for my surprise baby shower at work. We also share the same desk since we work on opposite days. I read up on it and it doesn't look like it will be harmful, but I don't want a red rash all over my face and upper body!

mjvdec01 - May 8

Oh yeah, a rash, that's what every pregnant woman wants. Lets make ourselves really comfortable, and attractive with a rash all over our body! Is that all Fifths Disease is, a rash? I am 29 weeks today and really uncomfortable. I feel like I have two feet in my ribs and I have to sit straight upright for it not to hurt. I ordered some clothes from Old Navy and The Gap the other day, even paid for faster shipping. Well, I didn't pay attention to the measurement instructions. You are supposed to use your pre-pregnancy measurements, I didn't, I used my measurements now. Everything they sent me was EXTRA LARGE. It looks like I am wearing hefty bags! I am so p__sed. We have family portraits on the 24th and I have nothing to wear. I knew something was wrong when I opend the packages and took a look at the width of the a__s of the pants. I thought to myself..."oh god, don't let these fit!". I am so excited for you to have your little guy. Are you any closer to chosing a name? My mom is coming tonight after traffic. She is going to spend the night and stay all day tomorrow. I am so glad, I need someone to go with me to return all these huge clothes. I guess I just have to be photographed naked. I am jealous, by the time Nathaniel is born you are going to be all skinny again and I am going to be even huger'er (yes, I know it isn't actually a word!). So Rachel goes with your sister tomorrow, and you and Tim have some time to yourselves, that is great. Take it easy and try to catch up on your rest. Let me know if anything exciting happens.

fefer1 - May 8

haha - I can just see the look on your face as you pull out the gigantic pants. :) Yeah, fifths disease is a nasty rash on your face and upper torso but I guess it starts out with cold symptoms and sometimes a fever. Once you get the rash you aren't contagious anymore. The nurse just called me back and is sending me for bloodwork tomorrow to see if I've been exposes or have already developed and immunity to it. I guess a lot of people get it as kids and you don't get it again, like chicken pox. One more thing for me to have to do!!! ugh...we're aren't any close to the names either. I just wish one would jump out at me and scream to be picked. That will be nice having your mom around for a bit - give you a break!! I can't wait for this weekend -child free!!! I'll still miss her though - it's weird when she's not around. My grandma is totally excited about it though - she is so good with babies but you gotta watch her or she'll be stuffing them with candy. :)

mjvdec01 - May 8

I hope you don't have it, that would suck. If you do have it then atleast it isn't anything horrible that can harm the baby. Anyway, if you look at the signs board, there is a thread called "weird". Grandpa Viv was so rude. It just p__sed me off, so I posted to him directly. I couldn't help myself. Yes, it will be great having my mom here tonight and all day tomorrow. Maddy will be in bed before she gets here, but that's fine. Jimmy has to work really late tonight, so he will be sleeping in til 6:30 tomorrow, and taking the 7:30 train out of Puyallup. By tomorrow morning it will have been two and a half days since he has seen Maddy. I told him he can get her up in the morning so he can see her before he leaves. I don't mind. She would probably be up by 7am anyway. The clothes I got are huge, I can grab an entire handful of material on each hip of the capris I bought, and the tops are so big they are falling off. The arm holes are way too big and the tops keep migrating forward and exposing half the front of my bra. Washing them in hot water and drying the c___p out of them would not fix the size issue. I miss Maddy when she isn't with me also. Sometimes I leave her with Jimmy and then when I get out I wish I would have brought her with me. You know Rachel will be well taken care of, and you need to rest and get some things done. Talk to you later.

fefer1 - May 9

hey there - Rachel is gone for the weekend! I feel so naked now. :) I really don't know what to do with myself! Tim is working on our patio, which SHOULD be done tomorrow, at least most of it. He has to return the machine he rented to tamp things down. My house guests are gone, my house is clean, laundry done - oh wait, I should finish packing my hospital bag! I'm halfway done with it - just haven't finished all my personal items. I'll have to check out grandpa's post - see what that's all about. Sounds interesting. :) HOpe you have a good night tonight - and get to sleep in a bit! I'm gonna go get some mexican food I think - and pick up some beer for my hard working man. :)

mjvdec01 - May 9

KID FREE WHOO HOO!!! It will be nice for you to have some free time. Did you remember to install the infant car seat, and one of those little mirrors that attaches to the head rest so you can see him while driving? My mom left about 15 minutes ago, and to tell the truth, I was happy it was time for her to leave. We had a good time, but I need to clean up my house and get Madalyn settled a bit. Jimmy won't be home until around 10pm or so, and I can't put Maddy down for the night until about 8:30 because I let her sleep until 5:15pm at naptime. Monday you will be 37 weeks! I'll be 30 weeks next thursday, and I am going to ask Dr. Edstrom to schedule my induction so Jimmy can make the arrangements he needs to at work. Anyway, I it wil be nice to have your patio done so you can have a place to put a table and chairs. I have to go outside with Maddy and play for a bit. Talk to you soon.
