Hi, I finally slept for about two hours. Hey, have you bought your nursery furniture yet? There is a new place where USA Baby used to be... 720 Andover, over by Southcenter Mall. It's called Cribs 2 Bunks. They have better quality furniture at prices comparable to Babies "R" Us. I went and bought nursery furniture there a couple of weeks ago but it hasn't come in yet. If you haven't made a purchase yet you should go check it out. I know there are two Andovers... not sure which one it is. I can check. Anyway, I am so excited to be having a boy. I am just concerned that my being sick for so long hasn't been good for the pregnancy. My OB is moving to another office this week, so I think on monday I will call and get an appointment to just hear the heartbeat. I think that will make me feel a lot better.

Hey, glad you got some sleep! I have a sinus infection and my head is killing me!!! I went to the Urgent Care today and they just told me to take tylenol and flush my nose out with salt water. She wouldn't give me antibiotics even though she can...just said she prefers not to. GRRRR!!! I just want to feel better!!!! I know the furniture store - or location - you're talking about. I went there when it was the USA baby and thought they were kind of pricey. I haven't bought anything for the newest addition yet...but I have a friend who has a nice new white crib that she's going to give me if I want it. My DD's stuff is all white and I love it. :) Oh, on being sick, don't worry about it. Babies are sooo strong and are very rarely affected by our illnesses. Like I said before, I had the stomach flu twice - I couldn't keep anything down for 24hrs each time - and got this nasty cold - and the Dr isn't worried at all. Just as long as you don't get dehydrated...And don't send your MIL!!! :) If you can't stand her around I doubt I will. haha...I'm excited about a boy too but a little nervous. I have all nieces and a couple of younger half sisters...just got a nephew last June, but he lives in Canada. I don't know anything about boys! I had to read up on circ_mcision cuz I didn't know why they even did it! Oh well, I've got my dh to take care of boy stuff. :)

I am so sorry that you aren't feeling well. I bet you could get your OB to write you a script for an antibiotic. That is great that you can get a nice crib for free. My daughters bedroom set is from the Penneys catalog. The crib is okay, but the dresser and changer are c___p and I just decided that this time I would get furniture that would last. The crib I bought was on clearance for 50% off, however the dresser/changer I have to admit was pricey. Although it is a piece that will last forever, and the crib too is convertible, so that will last for as long as the kid lives at home. They also have some crib bedding there that is different from the ones you see in the other stores. When the furniture comes in I was going to go take a look. Oh, almost forgot, now my daughter is getting sick. My husband is taking her to the see the pediatrician tomorrow to be checked out. I really was starting to think that maybe we would get through this without her getting it. We are going to get some tamiflu for her and hopefully she won't be hit as hard as I was.

oh poor baby! I hope your daughter doesn't have it so bad. :( My dd got the stomach flu in January and it freaked me out! She woke up crying and I found her laying in a pile of vomit. It was sooo sad!!!! She did that two nights in a row - the second time my dh was all alone with her. :) haha...ok, I shouldn't laugh but I didn't have to clean it up! My DH is still home sick - He came down with it on Thursday and hasn't been to work since. Well, he teaches a cla__s at Bellevue Community College two nights a week and he missed it last week and couldn't do it again - so he's there tonight till 10pm! Poor thing. I'm worn out from taking care of him and my dd for 5 days straight with not much of a break at all. I feel like a single mom right now!! I'll have to check out the furniture one of these days. I got our crib at BabiesRus for my dd and love it. The rest of the furniture is stuff I've collected and repainted/finished. I love old furniture. :) I have an OLD dresser I'm cleaning up that I might use for baby #2. That's if I can get around to finishing it! It's hard with a toddler around all day. :) I used my dd's dresser as a changing table too. It's the perfect height and long...and full of clothes. :)

I am sorry you are doing everything alone right now. You must feel like my husband does. He has been like Mr. Mom around here, and he is completely stressed out. I know he is counting down the hours until he can return to work. I am going to have to pull it together so he can go back to work on thursday. Atleast I don't have to be the one to take Madalyn to the pediatrician tomorrow, she is going to freak when they come at her with the nasal swab. I told my husband to try and get Dr. Kierum to just give her the medication. I know she has the same thing we had so why put her through it. I want him to just give her the Tamiflu, an antibiotic for any bacterial infection that may be there and a cough medicine if there is one. I like old furniture also, I'm just not driven enough to strip and re finish anything. That is so sad that your daughter was laying in her vomit, but how nice that your hubby had to clean it up once by himself. lol. My daughter once had diahrreah in the bathtub and I didn't realize it until she tried to had me a peice of something the was in her poo. The water looked like some kind of nasty soup. It was the most disgusting mess I have ever had to clean up. The poo was all stuck in her bath seat and it took a good half hour to get it all out. Then I had to bleach the tub, then bathe her all over again... yuck!

I totally adore my dd too. She is sooo sweet!!! That's totally nasty about the bathtub poo. We haven't had that happen yet thank goodness! Barf is ok, poo is not. :) yuck! Once she farted in the tub and it freaked me out. :) Oh my goodness, I looove teh bunny photos. So cute! She has so much hair! My dd is still growing hers. :) I can only hope she has half as much as your daughters at 2. Ok, American Idol is over and I think I'm going to bed!!!! Got to work tomorrow.

I saw the photos of your little girl. What a cutie. I am still so sick and as of tomorrow I am on my own with a toddler that has the flu also. I can't believe that I still feel so c___ppy. Anyway, I hope you are having a good day at work.

hey - saw that you registered. :) I had a decent day - my dh came home again today and is staying home tomorrow. Poor thing! I really hope I don't get it!!!

mjvdec01 - February 28

I registered, but, I probably won't ever so anything with it. I just can't get in to it. I don't have a my space account and I rarely use email either. It is amazing that I am on here so much. I think I have been on this forum pretty regularly since... november? I am sorry your hubby is so sick. Stay away from him. We got Tamiflu today for Madalyn and I don't think she is going for it. She took the first dose alright, but got so upset when my hubby was trying to give her the second dose that she vomitted it all up. It was in her hair, all over her jammies, and my hubby thought he could just clean her up with a washcloth... yeah right. I knew that wasn't going to work. It was he was trying to clean up a gallon of snott with one kleenex. I had to make him put her in the tub and wash her down. Then ofcourse he is all upset, talking about how stressed out he is. I looked at him and in the whisper of a voice that I have because of my raw throat I pretty much told him to get over it. Like my life the past week has been stress free of something. He quickly got the point and changed his tune, but for a split second I wanted to throw him under the next pa__sing car. The good news is that I am feeling better. I still can't hardly speak, but I do feel like I can things on my own for the rest of the week so my husband can go back to work. Now I just feel like I have a really, really bad cold. Please don't get sick.

fefer1 - February 28

your poor hubby. :) I know how he feels, he probably just needs to vent. My dh has been sick for a week now and I've had my moments of frustration. When I'M sick, I have to take care of my dd still - even though he came home and helped a couple of afternoons - I was still doing a LOT. He just lays around on the couch sick. :) Glad you're feeling better - or able to function. Sorry about the tamiflu ordeal. Poor little girl. :( Hope you are all feeling better soooooon!!! I just registered with facebook since a lot of the girls on due in June are on there - and it's fun to see everyone. I started to have fun with it too.

This morning is a lot better. I'm not sure anymore what to think about Madalyn. Yesterday it really seemed as though she was getting sick, but then this morning... nothing. I don't know. The only thing I am certian of is that she, is not going to take the Tamiflu, however, she may not need it anyway. I hope things as better at your house. By the way, you said you work, what do you do? I was a Dental a__sistant for 10 years and stopped working when I was 5 months pregnant with my daughter.

fefer1 - February 28

I do accounting work - bookkeeping etc...I actually have 2 interviews for part time work today. :) Should be interesting as I'm 6 months preggo and it's VERY obvious. haha...one of the jobs MIGHT have virtual work available. We'll see.
