yeah, I'm 30 something now - and feeling it!! I cannot sleep at all...and everything in my mid section aches. My sister was sick over the weekend and now I think Rachel is getting something. :( I do not want to be sick again - I've had enough of it this year!!!!!! I was hoping it was just her tooth coming in making her nose run but I'm not so sure...Sorry you're not doing well - get some rest. I bet it's the new bed thing getting her up early - sometimes change will do that. I've noticed with Rachel that she will change her habits for a while when anything big happens. Afraid of the nightlite...well, Rachel loves hers. Oh, totally off the subject, but the shoes I bought Rachel - when I got home I peeled off the stickers inside and guess what it said - "Rachel Shoes" was the brand. So funny! Anyways, tomorrow is my dr appt and I'm afraid to get weighed. I ate like a pig today. Mcdonalds for breakfast, Fatburger for lunch along with some chocolates, big huge beef stirfry dinner, a couple of cookies and then a giant bowl of Trix. :) I was craving the Trix and they were on sale for a buck at Safeway so I caved. Now I know I weigh a ton!!!

What you ate made me laugh!! I thought I was the piggie. Anyway, that is so cute about the shoes. I am sorry she is getting sick. I definitely have a cold. Well, I hope your OB appointment goes well. Just tell the nurse that you don't want to know your weight. I never look at mine, but I do get on the scale at home sometimes, not often. Let me know how your appointment goes, good luck. I have to vacuum now and then I am off to South Hill mall. Gymboree is holding a bathing suit for Madalyn that I found online.

Hey, let me know when Rachel is feeling better so we can make a plan to get together again. It is my turn to come out your way.

fefer1 - March 28

hey - hope you're feeling better! No offense, but I'll wait till you guys are well! I don't want any more germies! :) haha..well, I think I gained 6 pounds in 2 weeks - according to the dr's scale. I really shouldn't look. Nothing else is new - just that I need to keep taking iron pills and eating read meat. Going in every two weeks too...I'm pretty tired too. I love taking naps but it's hard to get up from them. Today I just wanted to stay in bed all night! Rachel was wanting to get up from her nap though. :) I guess Tim came home at 3:30 and saw us sleeping and I didn't even hear him come in. Good thing he wasn't a burglar! I had no idea he had come home. :) Ok...gonna go to be soon and hopefully gegt rid of my headache.

You are doing just fine with your weight gain and you are really in the home stretch. I think I am about 190 now, and I can hardly believe it. I still have 16 weeks to go! Atleast the weight is because of the pregnancy and not just that I am fat. After the baby is born I am getting a personal trainer and am going to be in bathingsuit shape with in a few months. I have to be, I have already committed myself to going to Las Vegas with some friends next april. I can't be the 'fat friend'. I want to get down to a size 6 again. I know I can do it. Anyway, yeah I am sick again. Just a bad cold this time though. When I am better I will let you know. I would hate for you or Rachel to get sick. The Kirby vacuum people are coming over in about 15 minutes to clean the carpet in Nathaniels room. I told the gal that there is no way we are buying a $2300 carpet cleaner. She said that was fine, that maybe in the future we would. Good enough for me. Nathan's crib is being delivered tomorrow and it will be nice to have a clean carpet first... for FREE! You should see the amout of clothes I have bought for the baby. It is a bit insane. I am a huge believer in finding deals on clothing for later on. Right now this unborn child has clothes for all the way up to 2T. Not a complete wardrobe of each size, but a start. I do have plenty for up to 6-12 though, is that bad. I go to Gymboree when they have their closeout sales and find item for anywhere from $15.99 to $3.99, no joke. I got him two outfits today from there for $23. Jimmy didn't believe me until I showed him the reciept. We should go there sometime, I always find the deals.

did you by any chance to to the supermall? We went there today to do a little shopping - got nothing for me -it was all Tim. :) Rachel was a monster at lunch - I think she is sick for sure and now, I don't feel so good. Thought I was just tired but my nose has been kind of irritated and dry all day. Lovely. I knew if she was sick I'd get it - her nose is so runny and she wipes it herself and touches EVERYTHING. wow, it's snowing again. :) I love it. I've not been on a huge baby clothes shoppimg spree for some reason. I'm having major braxton hicks contractions too - it's almost uncomfortable/painful. Childrens Place was having a good sale but I didn't get anything - wasn't in the mood to shop. Even Motherhood Maternity had a good sale - up to 90% off on some of their racks but I just couldn't get into it. I really must be getting sick! :) Well...gonna watch the snow some more and take some zicam and hope I don't get sicker.

mjvdec01 - March 31

I haven't been to the supermall since we went together. I'm sorry you are getting sick, that sucks. I am starting to feel better, go figure. I know what you mean about the braxton hicks. I have them alot. Who ever says they aren't painful is a liar! I have found though that if I drink a few gla__ses of water and sit with my feet up that they tend to subside. This weekend I have been all over the place and they have been pretty bad. You need to get shopping!! Before you know it you will be out of time, and your little boy will be wearing Rachel's old clothes! Anyway, I got my crib and changer today, they delivered them for us at no charge. Guess what happened... They had the crib I wanted in stock, but last weekend we couldn't fit in the van with Maddy's seat in, so we said we would come back this weekend with out the second row seats and get both peices, because the changer was supposed to be there by then. Well, the warehouse made a mistake and gave my changer to another buyer and they have discontinued the model, mine was the last one. So, the owner of the company gave me a beautiful cherry, made in Italy, forever crib that converts to a full size, a dresser/changer that matches and the hutch that goes on top. I got all of this for NO ADDITIONAL COST!!! I paid a little over $1300 for a crib and changer and what they gave me totalled over $2500!!! I could hardly believe what the sales guy was telling me over the phone. I looked at the set on line while I was talking to him to make sure I liked it and it is gorgeous. It looks even better in the room. They delivered it all the way to Puyallup and even put the crib together for me. The changer/dresser came a__sembled. Am I a luck girl or what! my girlfriend came over and helped me put the bedding on and move the furniture to where I wanted it. I even put away the diapers I bought and some blankets that are unis_x that I used when Maddy was little. Next sunday I am going to make Jimmy start fixing up the room, then all I will need is my baby boy.

fefer1 - March 31

wow - what a deal on the furniture. :) I got a free (loaner) crib from a friend so I'm not going to complain. It's not my dream crib but hey - it's a bed. I think I"m still going to have Rachel share a room with Jr for a while - but we have to move them to the bigger room once I find time to clean it out and paint it. I"m just too tired to do anything. I need someone to come help me! Of my two closest friens, one has cancer and is going through chemo and the other just had her baby. My helpers are a bit busy! :) I'll get it done - and the shopping too. I've been picking up a few things here and there - just haven't gone crazy yet. My friends are having a "not a shower" party for me in May and I'm sure I'll get some clothes and stuff. It's a couples BBQ with some of my close friends/family. I just can't justify another shower so soon after Rachel. :) I only have 9 more weeks!!!! The dr joked with me that she was going to have to hurry to the hospital when I go into labor since Rachel came so fast.haha..hope it's true! So I'm taking these iron pills now and the bummer is that I have to take them before bed so I can be sure to have an empty stomach and not eat it with dairy or anything...but then I've been getting wicked heartburn and cant' take tums with the iron!!! grrrrrr!!!!!! I'm getting really grumpy these days. :) Hormones are going crazy - I've been snippy with Tim too.

mjvdec01 - March 31

I am sorry you are having a hard time, and how awful it is that your girlfriend has cancer. I can't imagine having to deal with that, I would take a horrid pregnancy any day. That is really nice that your friends are having a "not a shower", shower for you. I don't think you should feel weird about another shower, it is perfectly acceptable if you are having a baby of the opposite s_x. I am leaving Nathaniels room up to Jimmy, I'm just the forewoman. I tell him what I want done and he says, "yes, dear", that is all there is to it. He is happy to do what ever I need, so it makes it quite easy. D-day is coming soon for you, how exciting! I wish I only had 9 weeks to go. I have 15 before this is over. How is Rachel feeling? I hope her cold has gotten better. Talk to you later.

fefer1 - April 1

well, rachel is doing better - just has a nasty runny nose that I constantly have to wipe before she wipes it herself and then wipes her hands on everything! :) I'm feeling a bit better - I was able to get some sleep last night finally!! My cold has moved to my chest and it hurts to cough but overall I think I'm getting better. I started taking Zicam Sat. night when I felt I was coming down with this and it seems to have really helped. As for the bedroom issue - I've decided to switch the rooms for sure - and I need to paint the room and ceiling before I move anything over. It's going to be a bit of work - but if I can get motivated I can do it. :) I just have to figure out what color to paint it. Rachel's room is a light green color and her stuff is pink/yellow/green/blue - and Jr's is going to be green and brown, mostly. I thought a nice beige or brown color would be neutral enough. I'm terrible with color though. And my friend with cancer - she has b___st cancer and we're the same age. She just got married last June - and was diagnosed right before Christmas. :( Her last treatment is this week - and then she has to schedule surgery for sometime in May or June. It looks pretty good though. Scary stuff though!

Mjvdec01 you are in Puyallup?! cool... that where my hubby is from and his family stil lives there. its beautiful out there!

mjvdec01 - April 1

That is so great that you are going to do the room. Is Tim available to help you? I hope so. I am glad to hear that your girlfriend is doing well, and that Rachel is feeling better. I have to tell you, I got in to it with Cat24 again. This time she slipped up and actually proved my argument. Although, she probably doesn't realize it.

mjvdec01 - April 1

HeatherIsHopeful, yes I do live in Puyallup. My hubby and I bought a house out here about 6 years ago. I can't say I really like it though, all of my family, and the friends I grew up with are about an hour and a half north of here.

fefer1 - April 1

uh oh - you and cat! :) Where did you get into it this time?? Yeah, Tim is available to help - but when I want to do it he's at work. :) I get the bug to do something and I want it done NOW. I moved a bookshelf from the guest room downstairs all by myself yesterday....probably not the smartest thing to do but I did it! :) How are your friends babies doing?

mjvdec01 - April 1

I ran into her in 'General Pregancy Questions', I think that is what it is called. Anyway, the question was about ovulation and dryness during s_x. Cat came on and told the gal that if she was in tune with her body she should be able to tell when she ovulated and that there is no need for opk's , and that if she just focused more on foreplay that she wouldn't be so dry. How the hell does she know!? Is she psychic or something? She was pretty much just boasting about how 'in tune' with her body she was, and in my opinion it was only to make her seem as though she was superior in some way. Not every woman knows when they ovulate and not every woman is affected by foreplay in the same way. She makes these generalizations that infuriate me-- All women that wish for one gender are awful for doing so and won't love the opposite s_x baby as much-- All women 'should' know when they ovulate-- There is no need for any lubricant during s_x, your body will take care of it if you have adequate foreplay. I can't stand her. Maybe her fingers will fall off and she won't be able to post anymore! Anyway, I know what you mean by wanting things done NOW. If I could finish Nathaniels room myself, I would. I also have to finish Madalyn's big girl room. I want to take down the wallpaper border and re paint the room. It is driving me crazy that it is half baby room, half big girl room. My girlfriends baby is doing great, he is home now. I tried calling her this morning, but no answer. Jess is still in a lot of pain for her c section, and I am sure very busy. I'm going to try calling her again this weekend if I don't hear anything. Hey, save the heavy stuff for Tim. You don't need any problems at this point, however, I have been know to move a couch or two myself.

fefer1 - April 3

well, I tried to find that post but couldn't - probably a good thing, it will infuriate me and get me all riled up. :) So I've been watching my niece every day I don't work this week - I'm so tired! I feel better from this cold but it's wearing me out - working, taking care of Rachel, cleaning....I need to register at babies r us and target for my friends - and for myself - so that I know what I need. I think I'll head to Target today. Hey, have you ever heard of Just Between Friends? They have these big baby and childrens sales once or twice a year - and it's all used stuff, but some great deals. Car seats, strollers, beds...you name it they have it. Toys..clothes...They have another sale the first weekend in May in Renton. Just in case it would interest you. ugh...Rachel woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. She cries and throws a fit every time she trips or falls or if we look at her funny. Man....she's throwing ma__sive fits!!!! Throwing her toys too. I think we need to go to Target - and SOON! :) My niece is here till 1 so then Rachel will be nap ready and I can have some silent time to myself!!
