Fetal Movement Slower At 26 Weeks

I'm 25 weeks and have also noticed decreased movement. I used to feel more poking and kicking and now the movements seem softer and fluttery. In the past when I would eat the baby would move like crazy, now sometimes it doesn’t move at all. I always thought that when the baby grew larger and stronger that the movements would be harder and more noticeable…its seems to be the opposite. This is my first so I’m not sure what is normal but I sure feel better now that I’ve read these posts. Thanks & Good luck :)

I am 26 weeks, and my baby hasent moved much in the past couple days. I went to the doctors last week because I didnt feel her move for almost 24 hours. my doctor said that she does not exspect people to feel there baby move every day until the 28th week and then the baby is big enough to feel every day. And if your placenta is in between you and the baby it will prevent you from feeling it as much as someone who's placneta is some place elts. So I guess that its true when they say every pregnancy is different.

Hi, I am 23 weeks and like everyone have heard the same thing - that there is just as much room anymore for baby to move around. Another thing that my mum said was that when baby is resting - he is also growing. This is my first too so I am nervous, I guess I just have to go with the flow.

It is normal. The baby is probably just resting or is getting even bigger. As long as the baby is moving it should be ok. I am 26 weeks and there are days my stomach is moving tons and other days barely at all.

I'm at 26 weeks..and I've felt my baby for the first time around 16 weeks...kicking alot around 20 weeks....I notice the baby reacting to sounds or me suddenly moving after being still for a long period of time...its kinda neat...and she ALWAYS moves when her daddy talks to her....no matter if I'm asleep or not...lol.....Daddys Girl..already...lol.......

I'm 25 weeks with my third and still I worry. The last couple of days he didn't move very much. I felt like crawling in there and shaking him awake. Unfortunately this is very normal, but still very scarey.

What my doctor told me was that when you are active, your baby is relaxing, like being rocked all day. But when you are relaxed, the baby is active. That is usually why I feel him in the morning and in the evening.

I am 29 weeks pregnant with my first baby and today has seemed to be a quiet day for baby movements. Yesterday evening, as I was lying in bed, the baby was jumping and swishing about, but today he has been extremely quiet, with only the occasional swishing. It is good to see that I am not alone in feeling worried about the decrease of movements, but that it can also be perfectly normal.

I believe the baby is getting bigger and realy doesnt have that much room to swim around anymore. Your baby kicks should be a little stronger.

I am 25 weeks pregnant with twins, and each baby is different, Twin B is hyper all day many times, and Twin A, is just at night when i wake up to pee, or when i first wake up in morning and she stops. I have 2 girls, 1st pregnancy!

I am 27 weeks, I was getting worried because I have not felt my little guy move nearly as much as last week, after reading this I feel better, I also agree with one of the coments "society today has women way to parinoiad about fetal movement". Just remember Ladies every pregnancy is different, a lot of "normal" things I have experianced are not so normal for others.

I am also almost 26 weeks pregnant and fetal movement has decrease, but the baby still moves everyday. I guess it is natural to worry, but I am glad I am not alone. I thought the babies movements would be increasing not decreasing.

I am 25 weeks pregnant, and this is my first pregnancy. She used to move around so much I thought she was going to be some gymnist or athlete. Just a few days ago her movements became less active and i started to worry. I was on my way to the doctor but after reading all of your post and listening to my mother I am so relieved. I guess I should be so lucky she doesn't kick me around so much and keep me up all day anymore. As long as everything is alright with her and the pregnancy, I'll manage.
