I WILL BE AT WEEK 26 THIS TUESDAY, MY DUE DATE IS 08/19/05. I JUST STARTED FEELING FETAL MOVEMENT ABOUT A MONTHA AGO AND THE LAST FEW DAYS, BARELY ANYTHING AT ALL, I AM FEELING A TINY BIT TODAY BUT AFTER SEEING ALL THIS, I AM FEELING SOMEWHAT RELIEVED. THIS IS MY FIRST BABY AND I WASNOT SURE WHAT TO REALLY EXPECT FROM THE START. I SEE MY SKIN ON MY STOMACK "JUMP" SO TO SPEAK SOMETIMES IN THE EVENING WHEN I AM LAYING DOWN AND BEING VERY STILL.

I'm 31 weeks pregnant and she moves all the time. It is starting to get a bit excessive. The movements are very strong and sometimes hurt. It seems like she has way too much energy! However, my doctor says she is perfectly normal.

I am 31 weeks pregnant and it is totally normal not to always feel the baby move. Remember your baby sleeps alot whenever he/ she is born ...so they do the same thing whene they are inside the womb. I was not feeling the baby move as much and I asked the doctor yesterday about it and she said that its normal...that baby has no more room of course...but also because as your stomache stretches .....and it gets bigger....you wont feel the baby as much! Its every mothers fear but...trust in God..he will not let anything bad happen to your little one!

Hi, I'm 31 weeks and haven't had as much kicking as I expected. How can some dosctors say that lots of kicking is normal and so is hardly any? Can little movement be a sign of the baby having a condition of any sort?

I'm 26 weeks and I barely ever feel my baby move. I went to see my doctor yesterday in tears and was comforted to see the he is moving (I had an ultrasound). My doctor said that his movements are small and that he is running out of room. I feel a little bit better, but am having a hard time relaxing.

I am 25 weeks pregnant and I have been feeling my baby actively move since I was 17 weeks. I also have been able to see my stomach move since about 18 weeks. He moves ALL day no matter what I am doing. Doesn't seem to have a schedule. Since the first day he kicked, he has kicked every day since then. I never get a day of rest, hehe!

I'm nearly 26 weeks and recently had 3 days where she was hardly moving. I went to see Starwars episode 3 at the cinema and all of a sudden she was kicking like crazy. Apparently light sabres excite her! :)

Your baby should move 5x/1hour or 10x/2 hour at a time of day when it is normally active, like after dinner laying down on your left side. The baby doesn't move less, it does have more defined sleeping pattern, but if your baby doesn't move as much at a time when he/she normally moves alot..and is not giving you the 5 movements/hour, then you need to call and have an Non-stress Test. I have done a lot of research and talked to specialists because my second child was stillborn at 36 wks pregnant and if I had done the kick counts, I probably would have realized in time that something wasn't right. I did kick counts with my next pregnancy and it is very easy to do and very mind -easing. If he/she is moving the amount they are suppose to then no worries. NST's are so easy and the hospital will have no problem giving you one.
I couldn't help but give my $.02 to this thread because so many of you were saying you had decreased movements, but felt better that others did. Anyway, try out the kick counts.
Enjoy your pregnancy..it's such a wonderful miracle

I am having baby number 4 after 11 years! LOL With my first child I went to the docters in a panic several times over the last month because there was no movement from her at all for over 24 hours, with my next child she moved all the time and my third child was steady movement but not a lot. With this one I have felt more movement than I remember with any other baby.
So first thing to remember is all babies are different. Your baby does go through amazing growth spurts and will sleep a lot during those times, and if you feel at least 3 movements in a 24 hour perioed everything is ok.
But finally if you are worried pop in to see you docter and listen to your babys heart beat so you can relax. Thats what you pay the docter for and having peace of mind during your pregnancy experience is more important than anything else!
Good Luck everyone!
