Hello,
Has anyone had food poisoning? How do you know if you have it? What are the symptoms? Anyone had it when they were pregnant? if so, what did you do?

You need to talk to your dr. ASAP because it can really hurt the baby. I have not had it pregnant, but have had it before--you throw up violently and sweat...it's awful!! Good luck.

I just had a stomach flu - just a virus but has similar symptoms and couldn't eat for 2 days, apparently though, this won't affect baby unless it is prolonged, like 4 or 5 days, and me and baby fine now. But food poisoning more serious I think because it's a bad bacteria that may cross the placenta. If you suspect you may have it, (vomiting, nausea, diarreah, stomach cramps, fever) as Nadine said, see your doctor asap.
