Newbaby- yes, we are having a boy, which is perfect b/c we have a little girl who will be 2 when this one comes. Which are you hoping for?

When we had our 12 week u/s (a little more than a week ago), the tech told us we're having a boy. She said it's too early to say 100%, but the baby was upside down with his legs wide open, and there was something sticking out in the middle. :) We'll have it confirmed at 19 weeks. I'm so excited! :)

Clindholm- We have a 15 month old daughter and are really hoping for a boy! Im due Feb. 18, she'll be 20 months Were your symptoms any different this time around? Did you carry different? I am carrying much lower this time. With my daughter i had bad morning sickness from week 8-11. This time around morning sickness started at 8 weeks, wasnt near as bad, and is still hanging on slighty. Im 19 weeks. Have an ultrasound Oct. 2. We're praying the baby cooperates!

Newbaby- I hope you get your boy! My symptoms were just a little different, with dd I felt fine, usual tiredness at the beginning and that was it. It was a terrible pregnancy w/complications though. This time I feel like c___p. I'm also carrying low and have heartburn that I never had at all. I was lucky and never had m/s with either one. I tell dh that I must be allergic to those male hormones! I bet you are having a boy since you feel different and are carrying low, can't wait to hear what happens at your ultrasound, only 1 more week!

Im not saying im having a boy because im carrying low. I was just stating how my pregnancy is different this time around. I know pregnancies can be drastically different even when carrying the same s_x. The wives tale is boys are carried low and girls are carried high. Heartburn is one of the first symptoms of pregnancy. I had it from week one with Rylie and she was born with a head full of hair. Not saying i put faith in wives tales, bcuz i dont.

I found out for sure that I was having a baby girl at 20 weeks. i had to be checked 3 times cause she was being stubborn and would not open her legs! I am now 21 weeks along and can finally feel the baby here and there. But I am so new to this that I didnt/don't exactly know what I was/am looking for

Hey Newbaby- how did the ultrasound go???

I have a 3.5yr girl & a 16mth boy, & this one is due 8th January & we have chosen not to find out the s_x. I had VERY different pregnancies with both dd & ds & this one so far is a good mixture of the two, so who knows what it will be :) The heart rate to begin with was around 157 & the last couple of times has been between 130 - 137, but like my midwife said it depends on if the baby is resting or active at the time of taking it, as to whether it will be high or low. Anyway congrats to all those who know & I wish you all happy safe pregnancies & births.

Well the ultrasound tech said "i think its a girl" and didnt point out the 3 lines the use to identify a girl.Ryan had a severe medical condition in the womb and even after he was born they couldnt tell if he was a boy or girl. He had a bad hernia that wrapped around his bowels and gentials. He had to have emergency surgery and meds. The condition is hereditary so they want to keep a close eye on things. ↑

Newbaby- I hope everything is ok with your baby. Will they be doing follow up scans to keep an out for the potential problem? So as far as the gender, it could still go either way, right?

newbaby2009 - October 3

Clindholm- As of now everything seems fine. Nothing abnormal showed on the ultrasound. The tech said she thought it was a girl, but didnt point out the 3 lines they go by. Im sure she was going by more then the lack of a p___s but wish she had explained or i had asked. But even after birth Ryans s_x was dificult to determine so it would have been the same during an ultrasound. Being born 22 years age, his mom never had an ultrasound so we dont have anything to go by at this point. I dont really know how to explain it.
