I am 18 weeks and I have had a horrible head cold since 13 weeks. I have heard this is normal, due to softening membranes, but it doesn't feel normal. Is anyone else going through this? Or has gone through it...? How long does it last? When will I be able to breathe through my nose again???

I know that the head cold is going around in my area. In fact, my DH currently has it and I am trying to avoid it! Have you talked to your doc about it? I know that I got a cold during my last pregnancy and my doc said it was OK to take Sudafed (the regular kind, not the PE). I'm not sure where you live, but in some states they keep it either locked up or behind the pharmacy counter. Anyways, he said that was safe, especially since I was past 12 weeks. Unfortunately colds are a virus...so they just have to run their course....I would definitely put a call in to the doc though just to see if you can get some relief. I hope this helps.

We have it too. Its safe to take Tylenol cold too. Take it easy and get some rest. Drink plenty of liquid!
