Oh and Tracy, I was just reading your post again and remembered what you had said about the dr's not doing any urin samples or anything. Well, you should really find a good doc. They should be checking your wee every 4 weeks for several things and checking your bp, weight and listening for the baby's hb. These are simple routine appts but give the doc an opportunity to find things that could cause probs. Also, you should be going in for some routine bloods around this time as well. You NEED to have a good doc to take care of you. Someone who knows exactly what you need to have and when. Do you have any girlfriends who have children who could reccommend someone good? Where do you live if you don't mind me asking? I was noticing a few words you said...wee, nappies and thought you must live in or be from Ireland, Scotland, England or Australia. Am I right? I live in Australia although I'm a Canadian.

Thanks for the reply girls :) Kourtney#5 Thanks for the luck and the website addresses! x RC Miller Thanks for the votes of confidence and the advise. It is really appreciated. 'wee' Your right I'm from Aberdeen in Scotland. My midwife did take a urine sample from me the first time I saw her, and I think she said to take one the next time too. I phoned my midwife yesterday as I am in my 16th week I need to get my bloods checked out for all sorts. I am hoping to get an appointment for that ASAP!! My midwife doesn't seem that bad to be honest, I think I just felt so let down as it took from the start of Nov till the end of Dec before I actually had proof that I was pregnant (as I didn't believe it)!!! Scott was in last night and when we were cuddling he was rubbing my belly and stuff. It is soooooo cute!! I guess I am just getting myself in a flap cause I fell pregnant straight away while on the pill. we have only been seeing one another 4 months and I'm 4 month pregnant!!!!! How are things going with you RC?? Hope your well :) Speak soon xx

Good, I'm glad you came back tracy. I wasn't sure if you may have found another home somewhere else. haha..Well, I'm glad you're being taken care of from a medical standpoint. I'm actually going for my 16wk bloods tomorrow and then for my 18wk scan in a couple weeks. DH (which means dear hubby btw...since you're new to any of these sites you wouldn't know that) wants to find out the s_x but I don't. I have my doubts that he'd beable to keep it a secret from me though so I don't know if I'll let him get his way. BUT...I do already have a name picked out if it's a boy that he's not too fond of so I could possibly strike some sort of a deal with him...IF he's able to keep it a secret from me. I really really want it to be a surprise. I think it's funner that way. lildevil-that's a big change in due dates eh? I'm sure my dates won't change at all really b/c I know the exact conception date what with being ivf and all. Is anyone here going to be having a 3D or 4D ultrasound done? I am going back to my ivf clinic to have one done. I'm excited about that. How is everyone else doing? Lucy you cracked me up about the wetting your pants thing. I actually wet the bed near the end of my first pg about 13 y ago! It was shocking! hahaha. How's everyone doing with their weight gain? I've gained 2kg so far but I took my msmts this am and have gained 4cm in my b___t and a few in my bust and 1 or so everywhere else. I didn't even bother measuring the tummy. I think I'm definetly gonna have to hit the gym asap! I don't want to lose weight that would just be stupid but I only want to gain 10kg's and do NOT want to look like a mammoth. Wish me luck!

Tracy - January 4

Well girls I hope your all doing fine!!!!! :) Of course I've came back this forum is doing wonders for me. It's great reading all your stories/experiences etc. I had my midwife today at the hospital to get my 16 week bloods taken. That me 16 wks and 5 days. Guess what I heard my baby's heart beat for the very first time. It was truly amazing! It all seems to be moving soooo fast. My dad decided that he was adding a bathroom to my bedroom yesterday so I have been gutting my b/r all day. My back is sore and I'm really tired now. But it will be great for me and my baby to have our own space! Going to tell my bpps at work tomorrow, so wish me luck ha x Lucy, I am sooooo glad you are having a baby boy just what you wanted. Boy and girl the perfect little family. RC, looks like you have the perfect little tool under your belt to get to pick the name you want. You go girl! :) Well off to bed now for work in the morning! Speak soon xx

rcmiller - January 4

Hey Lucy I'm so happy for you! I can't believe you found out so early! Tracy-I'm equally excited that you got to hear the hb. That is truly an amazing experience isn't it? I heard my baby's hb at 7wks! Saw it too. It was 9mm long and had a heart. I almost cried. Then I heard its hb for the second time a week ago at my 15wk check. This is probably when you'll start to get attached to the little frogger. You're a lucky lucky girl. Anyone who can just get pg without even thinking is so very lucky. I know and have talked to so many women who all they want is to be a mommy and have children but for the life of them can't conceive. Its a privelage which should never be taken for granted. I used to be that way. Got pg w/o even so much as a second thought. Then I gave up that privelage when I willingly got my tubes tied. 25 years old. Way too young to have made a decision like that. Oh well...I'm having another one now thanks to the miracle science of IVF and I couldn't be happier (and a little tiny bit scared-not b/c I won't know what to do but b/c I know how much energy they require and all the freedom I've gained in the last 3 y since my youngest started going to school is going out the window!) haha...Oh well, the Lord will give me the strength. That I know. We deal with things we can't even imagine when we're put in the middle of a situation. I'm glad we're helping you out Tracy. It's nice to beable to chat with other girls who are going thru the same thing physically and some of the same things emotionally and mentally as you are. BTW, do you currently live in Scotland? My first guess was Ireland and then Scotland. My dh's family originally came from Scotland. I made Scottish Stew for Christmas morning. A tradition set up by dh's strong scottish roots no doubt. Its a bit meaty for my taste for a breakfast meal but the Miller men love it. I would love to visit scotland some day before too long.

Hi Ladies! I've been off for Christmas for two weeks, and we don't have internet at home right now, but now I'm back at work.. and incidentally online :) Nice meeting you ladies who have arrived in the last few weeks! I've been enjoying reading your stories. Glad your partner is so supportive trace! I am 18 weeks now, (due june 4th) definetly have a belly FINALLY although it's not very big and at my recent midwife appointment I discovered I've actually been feeling the baby since week 15! everyone told me it would feel like 'b___terflies' which I took to literally mean a tiny gossamer winged insect, and expected the softest of movements... anything else I'd shrugged off as gas or whatever, since it is a bit early to be feeling the babe anyway. I had been feeling what was more like somebody knocking on my insides... I thought if that was a 'b___terfly' it was a BIG one ;) I told my midwife my sensations and she confirmed that i very likely have been feeling the baby. since I've been made aware of what the feeling is and how to recognize it, I"ve noticed it even more, I've got a mover in there! i can even feel little kicks on the outside if I catch my hand there at the right moment. it's really neat! I get my first Ultrasound next teusday, and things are progressing nicely although I haven't gained much weight yet at all. the last week or so I've been having pretty bad issues with my tummy again, not really morning sickness, more heartburn and indigestion I think, but i have to be careful about eating in the evening or I'm liable to throw up again. My digestion is just so slow or my tummy is squished and can't hold as much or something. sigh. I'm happy to have a belly though :)

I found out today that I am having a girl and a boy! I wanted at least one girl so I am happy. Both babies appear to be doing well...9oz each!

God I was back to work yesterday after having the two and two! I was shattered! Told my work tho, I didn't know if my boss was going to laugh or cry!!!! She was really nice about it tho and quite supportive also! RC, it's Aberdeen in Scotland I come from. I haven't tasted the traditional Scottish stew tho well not as a breakfast dish anyway. Think it would be a bit much for my breakfast too! As long as the men enjoy it! Yeah you guys are a tower of strength to me right now :) You are right I am definitely starting to get more attached to my wee bump. Can't wait till I start to feel it move, when should I start feeling this? I am so glad everything is going well for you too, you and your hubby must be so proud. How are your other children taking the news of a sister/brother?? Feels in a way everything's at a standstill for me just now. No appointments now till the 2nd of Feb, till my 20 week scan?! Well better go works a calling me xxx

rcmiller - January 6

Hey, well I worked today and am dead tired now. Today was a bad day for sickness for me. I don't know why some days are worse than others. But I've been feeling nauseaus pretty much all day and it's terrible. I'm not sure if I've felt my baby or not. I've thought a couple times I have but am not sure if its just me or baby. Usually women start to feel movement by 20wks Tracy. I remember with my first it was on the day of my 18wk scan. I saw a woman with 2 sets of twins the other day at the beach. There was only about 18mos between the 2 sets too...aye yi yi! Congrats veganmom on your 1 and 1! Well, we are gonna go grab some dinner. Ciao

Tracy - January 6

Hey Overtaken, I liked your story about the baby movements. I have been reading the books and stuff I got from my mid wife about the b___terfly movements. I wondered if like you said it would feel like fluttering in my stomach!!! Your description sounds a lot more believable and realistic!!!! I am 17 weeks tomorrow and due on the 15th of June. I still haven't felt any movements yet (I don't think) but going by your description it would be easy to know! Have you not had a scan at all yet?? Well welcome back and I'll look forward to yapping to you! RC, Thanks again for the advice about the movements etc. You have been a great help so far. I just can't wait till I get to see or hear my baba again. I was working again today. God I'm tired again, but telling everyone about being pregnant has far been easier than I thought it would be! I like you have been suffering badly from Heartburn and Indigestion but up till now thankfully I haven't been sick! Well I am meeting one of my girlfriends on Friday night for supper so that's something to look forward to. Also Scott's telling his folks I'm pregnant on Sat!!!!!!!! yikes I'm scared about that!!!!!!!!! Speak to you all soon xxx

rcmiller - January 7

Hey girls...just wanted to check in. I'm ready to stop feeling yucko. But I asked for this and I've been imagining my life in 5 mos when that little frog is in my arms and that's exciting to me. Took the kids to the pool yesterday. Wore my way too small bikini. I want to get a tan on my tummy and my bbs have grown so much that I look at the tan line on them and realized that the bikini is only covering about 1/2 of the whole b___st. haha...I think its tiime to buy a new suit?? I made it to the gym yesterday. Yay! 45 min of cardio is all I did but I wanna start out slow so I don't hurt myself or cause any probs. I'll go again right now too. I wanna be as healthy as possible. What is everyone else doing for exercise? Tracy can't wait to hear how it goes with the "in-laws" Are you going to be there when he tells them? You're lucky your parents are so supportive eh? Lucy-how's that baby bump coming along? I wish I could have lost some weight in the beginning. haha...I gained 5kg just being on IVF treatments for 18 mos on and off. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait till after baby arrives to worry about losing any. Are you able to eat normally now?

overtaken - January 7

Hi ladies, Tracy - no I haven't had any scans yet, my midwife is very relaxed, my first appointment wasn't till 8 weeks, and we heard the heart beat nice and strong at 12 weeks. If in normal checks nothing shows up to concern her, or I'm not feeling abnormaly poorly, me and my baby are a__sumed to be doing just fine. Also I know a freind of mine has had only one Ultrasound so it might be something in our healthcare in my province where they only cover one scan under normal circ_mstances. i know what you mean about things seeming at a standstill sometimes..I'll be 19 weeks tomorrow, but then I remember I have at least 20 weeks still to go.. it is nice to feel the baby so much though, sometimes there is a fluttering kind of idea.. but it's solid... really exactly like a very real but small person just rolled over. mostly it's the kicking I feel, like the other day when I swear the baby kicked backwards into my back... or liver or something. the wierdest sensation! my mother said she found that how my siblings and i moved really corresponded with our personalities - my get up and go sister moved a LOT and I was felt maybe once or twice a day.. hence, I'm a quieter person. RC your reference to your tan lines was funny to me, I had to remember it's summer where you are hey? I haven't seen a beach in months, on the west coast of Canada we've been getting an abnormal amount of snow, so although I like to walk for exercise it involves many layers of clothing and preperation to do so. also mincing steps so I don't fall. I get conflicting reports about the exercise.. first everyone says to do it, all the books.. but then not to exercise till out of breath or tired.. but If I don't get out of breath I don't feel like I've exercised at all. I've been doing some stretches at home and trying to walk, although this often ends up being limited to weekends as working full time really saps my energy by nightfall. I'd like to try more water exercise as I've heard its' good.. but again.. time issues. this is too long, talk to you all later
