Hi ladies how is everyone? Today was a pretty c___ppy day as dd was sent home from daycare because they found head lice on her. Turns out a little boy from her room got sent home with them about 2wks ago & they didn't bother telling the other parents as they were hoping it was an isolated case. Well I went to the chemist to get some treatment but they wouldn't sell it to me as I'm pregnant but would sell me the special lice come & told me how to make a natural home remedy. So I bought some cheap conditioner, pure tea tree oil & pure eucalyptus oil to make up my own treatment. Well the strong smells gave me a really bad headache, so I had some panadol & took a nap when the kids did, then I almost slept too long to make my dental appointment. I had a 1st stage root ca___l (wasn't too bad), only too find out that before they can do the 3rd stage they need to do x-rays, which I can't have til bubs is born (they could have told me this BEFORE we started or on the phone when I mentioned that I was pregnant). So I'm pretty p__sed off about the whole day, for the next 3wks (so they tell me) I have to put this strong stuff in everyone's hair & wash all bedding, towels, etc every 3days (like I didn't have enough washing) & now I have to keep going back to the dentist every 3-4wks to get my tooth repacked as they can't finish the root ca___l without the x-rays. Sorry to complain so much I'm just having one of those days.

jeni23 wow what a big month for you! Your poor daughter getting her tonsils and adenoids out at the same time, oh well I guess she wont mind with all the ice-cream & jelly she'll be having :) September isn't quite as busy for me but it's still a big month. I have a doc app on the 4th, my b'day is on the12th, we go on holidays for a week on the 13th, my sister-in-laws b'day is on the 19th & then my brothers b'day is on the 25th. Way tooooo many b'days & to think if I hadn't fallen pregnant with this one, hubby & I were going to plan our next one to be born around September (what were we thinking lol).

austynsmommy - August 10

September is pretty big for us. My son turns two on the 19th and my birthday is on the 30th. My doctor appointment is on the 2nd. I am stressing out so bad. I saw something on my husbands email about dating sites so I looked at the site and he has two profiles up. I am so down right now. I confronted him about it last night and we got into a big fight. I really don't know what to do. I am trying to stay calm for the baby. I don't understand. We were trying to get pregnant and now he does this.

babeedust2all - August 10

Hi Austynsmommy! I'm sorry to hear about your husband. Even though you got into a fight, did he at least try to explain himself ? Obviously you're very caught off guard, so presumably things have been well between you. Have you been married awhile? I really hope that this was just really poor judgement on your husband's part, because the last thing you need is to have to worry about your relationship with him, given that having a baby is worrisome enough already. Good luck!

bbdreams - August 10

Hey Austynsmommy - that really sucks! Why are men such jerks? I don't get it, they think that they should be able to have their cake and eat it too...if it was roles reversed and he found you on a dating website I bet he'd flip out. I can totally feel your anxiety on this one, my boyfriend is a huge attention whore(as in he he craves female attention). We fight about it constantly, he just doesn't seem to understand why it bugs the hell out of me that he has a bunch of 'groupies'(that's what I call them because they are all interested in them and he encourages it for the attention). Drives me crazy - I could smack him most days! Anyway, if I were you I would not back down on it at all. Let him know that you are very unhappy with this development and that you will not stand for it.

bbdreams - August 10

Oh sorry, I got so heated up about the dating site issue that I forgot to say hello to everyone else! So I am 18 weeks tomorrow, and I'm absolutely clueless with this whole weeks/months thing. Am I 5 months tomorrow? Or how does that work? LOL

bbdreams - August 10

OOPS on my first post that should have read *they are all interested in HIM*

mcbee - August 11

austynsmommy, that's so horrible! did he explain why he was doing that? What a terrible time for him to decide to be a b___t head. I'm so sorry. Let us know how everything works out. On a side note, my birthday is Sept. 30th, too!

E586467 - August 11

austynsmommy I am so sorry your husband is being such an arse. What is it with men & having to look at other women or get attention from them & I don't know about you ladies but I HATE p___n. I mean seriously can't men work their own bodies without having to make us feel like we just aren't enough for them by looking at hot naked women (especially while we're pregnant & not feeling as s_xy). Anyway austynsmommy I hope it was just a big misunderstanding & you two can work it out.

bbdreams if your 18wks you are about 4mths. Don't count every 4wks as a month otherwise you'll end up being pregnant for 10mths! Go by calendar dates to make it easier to figure out months, starting from the 1st day of your LMP. Example my LMP was April 4 & my dd is Jan 8, I am 18.5wks so I am just over 4mths. Hope this helps :)

Well, today kind of sucked. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. My urine had a ton of sugar in it, so they tested my blood sugar, and it was 201. So, my doctor is having me bypa__s the one hour glucose test (he said I've already pretty much failed it) and go right to the three hour test so he can see how my sugars act. He told me not to be surprised if they call me and have me admitted to the hospital for a few days based on the results. Apparently this helps them regulate me (they don't do this with normal diabetics, but because I've got a time frame we're working with, it might be necessary). He said I will definitely have to go on insulin. I really don't want to have to go into the hospital, but mine and baby's health are the most important things right now!

E586467 - August 12

mcbee that sucks. Can they recommend things in your diet that you should & shouldn't take to help or is insulin necessary in all cases of gestational diabetes or just the worst ones? I'm curious because I was told at my last midwife app that I might be at risk of it as my last baby was 9lb 3oz, & as I'm only a pet_te person apparently I shouldn't make them that big (yeah right try telling my babies that, & besides the women in my family seem to make them big.) They're doing the glucose test around 26wks to be sure. Anyway I hope it isn't as bad as what your doctor seems to think it is, but at least they're on to it if it is, because as you said your & the babys health are what's important.

Hey ladies! Well I had the ultrasound today...and I am pleased to announce it's a girl!!! Well, at least it definitely looks that way. The tech said there is no sign of a p___s or s____m, and that he could visibly see the 'three lines sign'. From the research I've done online that should be pretty accurate then, right??? Thanks ladies!!!

E586467 - August 12

bbdreams congrats on it being a girl. They were right both times with me (girl & boy) but I guess it depends on the competency of the tech. Well this baby is soooo active now, I'm 19wks tomorrow & for the past week s/he has been very active in the afternoons & even though there still faint, I LOVE feeling the movements with my hands. Hubby can finally feel the movements too & loves trying to make the baby move. When DD felt it she got sooo excited & started telling the baby to come out & play, lol, children are so precious.

Kimmer23 - August 13

Hey girls! Sorry I haven't been on in a little while. I have a doc's appointment this Friday at 18 weeks. Just the normal every 4 week appt. bbdreams - congrats on having a little girl! Sounds like the tech knew what they were talking about. mcbee - sorry about the diagnosis of gestational diabetes. Maybe it isn't as bad as your doctor thinks. I guess you have to wait and see when you do the longer test. But, I'm sure you and your doctor will do whatever is necesary for you and the baby, and it'll turn out ok in the end. HAng in there. Austynsmoomy - sorry your hubby is being such a jerk. I don't understand men sometimes. It just makes no sense... I hope things are better with you :) How is everyone else? Is everyone else showing now? I still wouldn't say I'm showing, but I definitely have a little belly that wasn't there before.
