Hey girls! Sorry I haven't been on in a little while. I have a doc's appointment this Friday at 18 weeks. Just the normal every 4 week appt. bbdreams - congrats on having a little girl! Sounds like the tech knew what they were talking about. mcbee - sorry about the diagnosis of gestational diabetes. Maybe it isn't as bad as your doctor thinks. I guess you have to wait and see when you do the longer test. But, I'm sure you and your doctor will do whatever is necesary for you and the baby, and it'll turn out ok in the end. HAng in there. Austynsmoomy - sorry your hubby is being such a jerk. I don't understand men sometimes. It just makes no sense... I hope things are better with you :) How is everyone else? Is everyone else showing now? I still wouldn't say I'm showing, but I definitely have a little belly that wasn't there before.

Hello ladies. Congrats on your girl bbdreams. I'm sorry about your gestational diabetes mbbee. My sister had that with her last pregnancy. I can't wait until my big ultrasound. I go in monday for that. Then I can start shopping and finally pick a name.

Mcbee, sorry to hear about your diabetes, but hopefully it can be gotten under control early. Bbdreams, congratulations on finding out that you're having a girl. It definitely makes it easier to shop! As for me, we had our 18w ultrasound today, and all went well. We weren't planning on finding out the gender which was a good thing, because the baby refused to roll over, and spent the whole ultrasound curled up with his/her bum in the air! Luckily, the technician was able to get all the measurements anyway. I also found out that my placenta is in front, which would explain why I can't always feel the baby moving. Other than that, not much new over here. Good luck with those of you who are still waiting to find out what you're having!

I am so uncomfortable already. I am having a ton of pressure already and my pelvis hurts so bad. Plus my son wants to be held all the time and he is almost two. It is so hot where I am living and we have no ac. I normally does not get this hot. I am so ready for fall.

Well I had my 19wks scan yesterday & everything looks really good, except my placenta is low lying (1cm away from the cervix) so even though they don't seem to think it will cause a problem during birth, they have booked me in for another scan at 32wks. I am pretty excited at the thought of seeing bubs again on the screen at that age, as I've never had to have any scans past 20wks with the other two so can hardly wait to see what bubs looks like. It's a good thing we don't want to find out the s_x because s/he was SO uncooperative that the tech had trouble doing all the measurements because s/he refused to move lol. Bubs was quite happy to face downward tugging on the umbilical cord & ignoring our attempts to turn him/her over. S/he has a perfect profile & such perfect little hands & feet, I can hardly wait to be able to kiss every one of those fingers & toes. Hey babeedust2all maybe our babies somehow know we want a delivery surprise & that is why they are being so stubborn. Oh & I had an anterior placenta with ds & yes it does cushion ALOT of the earlier movements, but don't worry you'll feel more as bubs gets bigger & will be feeling most of it by the end of your pregnancy.

Hey girls! Lots of excitement on here right now! austynsmoomy - I can't wait for my 20 week u/s...good luck today! And, I love those names! I'm 18.5 weeks, so 1.5 weeks until the big u/s for me! E - sounds like everything is good with Bubs. That's great! Well, take care everyone - we are almost all half way there...

kimcat - August 18

I'll be 19 weeks tomorrow. We had our ultrasound last Monday and found out we're having a boy! Now it's time for us to pick out names. I have another ultrasound in 3 weeks so it will be nice to see the little guy again.

austynsmommy - August 18

I'm having a boy. Andrew James

cyndilea1973 - August 18

YAY on the scans!!! I am having a boy too...looks like a LOT of blue around here..LOL. E--Sorry to hear you may have placenta issues, but maybe by the next scan, all will be well! I have a regular 4 week check up tomorrow, weight, urine, bp, doppler to hear the hb. I think they will measure from the pubic bone to the top of the uterus to see if I match up.. I am excited about this! My little Kellen sure has been an active boy the past couple of weeks! He gets really active in the evenings, and last night I saw him move around my belly b___ton! I was SOOOO excited. Hubby hasn't felt him from the outside yet, when you put your hand on my tummy when he is moving, he stops! I have another u/s at the high risk doc on Sep 4th ( I will be almost 21 weeks) and if all is well, i think I will just have a regular OB after that. They are monitoring my uterus since I had so many m/c's and surgery on my uterus last fall. I really don't mind, as they have been doing scans every 4 weeks since I was 6 weeks. I just love getting to look at my little boy growing in there. Hope you all are doing well...only symptom I have lagging now is being TIRED all the time. No more nausea...hello HUNGER.LOL.+++Cyndi+++

E586467 - August 18

kimcat welcome to the group & congrats on your boy, is this your first baby? When is your due date? - austynsmommy congrats on it being a boy. Cyndi that's great how active he is, mine is like that in the afternoons too. s/he will move for my daughter to feel, but goes still when hubby puts his hand there, cheeky little bubs how do they know, lol? I can't believe some of you have already picked out names lol, we have a couple of girl names we like, but are having sooooooo much trouble finding a boy name that we both like.

kimcat - August 19

Thanks, E586467! No, this is our second child. Our other child is a daughter who will be 18 when this one is born. He's due 1/13/09. I am 45 and my husband is 51. This will be quite an adjustment for us, to say the least!
