Trust me... DH and I both have the day off work tomorrow, and I am gonna convince him to do some shopping with me as well!! :) We have very little 'neutral' clothing, so I want to start stocking up on the boys' stuff. I figure if I buy a little here and a little there, it won't seem too bad! Hopefully I can also find some friends to hand me down some stuff as well. I am pretty happy... now I will have 2 of each.
Thats funny about your little girl not 'liking' the tech! I guess you now have a little insight on what she may be like!! LOL... Mine would not stop moving the whole time. But I think he was just squirming more than doing sommersaults, because the tech seemed to get her pics pretty quick. It only took about 40 minutes in total, including the time when my family was allowed to come in. Our hospital doesn't do CD's, but I got a few printed pictures, and a VHS tape of some of the session (maybe a couple minutes worth).
My tech did tell me that I have an anterior placenta.... which explains why I haven't really felt him move too much (compared to the others). She said that even later on, his movements will feel a little different. Thats fine... at least now I know that thats normal for this little guy.
DH and I started looking at baby names last night on the internet (since we were both too excited to sleep). We are in BIG trouble! LOL... Can't seem to agree on anything. I guess I will have to decide what name I like, and start working him in on it. Thats what I did with DD2. He initially didn't like the name, but after a little 'work' I had him hooked, and now he brags that HE chose the name! LOL..
Have you guys decided on any names yet??

This baby is going to be so much different than my other daughter...she loved having the u/s done and loves having her pictures taken...looks like I have a shy one on the way. My boyfriends mom called me last night and talked to me for about 30 minutes, she seemed all excited since this will be her first blood granddaughter (they do treat my daughter like she is family to them).
If you need help with little boy names, let me know and I'll try to get some for you.
We've had our little girl name for about a month and a half..lol It was the boy name we kept changing. Our little girl will be named Quinn.

Hi ladies!! i haven't been around because my comp. has a virus and I can't use it! Ugh!!
So, Its a GIRL!!!! We had an ultrasound last week and then had another one yesterday. last weeks was just a quick look at the ob's office and this one was the full deal. We went to a perinatologist because we got a "positive" on the downs part of the quad screen. The perinatologist said she looks perfect! We pretty much figured she was fine, though because we actually had the "early screen" or nuchal translucency done at 12 weeks and that came back great but we got freaked out at first and made the apt. So, then after seeing the ob, he pretty much said that the early screen is WAY more accurate and we shouldn't have even done the quad screen for downs, just neural tube defects.AAh! So, the ob also said just to keep the apt with the perinatologist because she will do all the measurements they would do for a regular 20 week u/s and she is way more experienced. Anyway, baby looks great, def. a girl and we are in the same boat as some of you with names!! I think we will be arguing all the way to the hospital on the name!
I also have an anterior placenta but I have been able to feel her move some. Not a ton, but this am she kicked me in the bladder. As much as it was uncomfortable now, I will probably wet my pants when she does that when she gets bigger!!
I liked hearing about other people's babies "hiding" from the tech! My baby girl was also hiding! she kept her face covered with her arms and pressed her face into the placenta! she was pushing off with her feet to press her face in farther, it was funny!

It's a Girl!!!!!!
My baby girl hid from the dr. too!!! She was funny, covering her face with her arms and pressing her face into my placenta!
I also have an anterior placenta so I have only felt smaller movements and not super frequent. Though I do feel her pretty much every day. she kicked me in the bladder this morning! that wasn't so comfortable, but I can't even imagine what that will be like when she's bigger! i'll probably pee my pants!

Congrats on the little girl!! My little one had half of her face hidden against the wall of my uterus and wouldn't turn at all so we could get a full face shot. Mine also put a hand in front of her face or over her heart or something, it was cute and I wanted to laugh because the tech was really frustrated when I left...lol

Congrats everyone!! I am glad our LO's are behaving enough to find out at least the s_x! Andesue... that is soooo funny about your girl pushing her face into the placenta! I have a feeling my DD2 used to do that as well. Just after she was born, she would always manage to squirm to the edge of the ba__sinette and push her face into the bumper pads in order to sleep. It used to freak me out because I would always be worried she would suffocate herself! But if the top of her head wasnt touching something soft, she wouldn't go to sleep! How funny! Personalities in the womb! I also know what you mean about getting kicked in the bladder... have had a few of those myself!

My daughter was breech the entire pregnancy, so I ALWAYS got kicked in the bladder! It isn't so bad right now, but if the baby doesn't turn later...be careful! lol I woke up this morning and I think the food that I ate last night for dinner upset my stomach...blah. And of all days for this to happen, I'm not going to be home at all...way too many things to go and get.

My DH and I had a great time shopping for the baby today. The other kids were in school, so we had a lunch date and then did some shopping. Bought the little guy a coming home outfit from Carter's, a t-shirt that says 'little brother' and some other little outfits. Hehe... was a lot of fun! Boys clothes are sooo much nicer than when I had DS1. We also picked up our ultrasound video from the hospital. seeing the baby and knowing the s_x, has just brought this pg to a different level for me!

We did a little shopping today as well, but mostly just 'window shopped' for the bigger things that I don't have from DD1. We did get a few receiving blankets, some plain white onesies, socks and a sleeper. My daughter picked out a pink robe and an outfit that had 2 onesies and a light pair of pants. My boyfriend picked up these really cute soft shoes for the baby to wear. We did find the carseat/stroller combo that we want to get. I still need to find one of those infant swings. We did get a little onesie and a light pair of pants for a bring home outfit. Ohh, I can't wait until July even though I'm not ready completely. I want to meet my little baby.

Sounds like you did more than a little shopping! LOL... My DH and I have been shopping around for our double stroller and a carseat for DD2. My mom has offered to pick up the tab for one, which is great. Other than that, I think we are set. I am sure that by the time my little guy is born, I will have filled his wardrobe! Besides, I am sure I have enough unis_x undershirts and some PJs that I can re-use. Did you keep stuff from your first?
Your daughter is very lucky to be getting a sister. She will appreciate it more and more as she gets older. When I had DD2, my oldest was over the moon, even though there is a 9 year age difference. Now I am happy that my older son will also have the same experience.

I kept the bigger things (crib, high chair, walker, jumperoo, bouncy seat) and I did keep a few of the 'special' outfits, but since I have moved, I have no clue where they are. I do have some crib sheets and blankets put away as well, just have to get them out and rewash them. There will be 4 years between the girls and I'm thinking things will be ok with them. I think it depends on how you treat them. My mom favored my sister and brother and just kind of ignored me for the most part...so my relationship with them was a bit awkward.
I woke up this morning with a stomach virus. This one is worse than the cold that I had last week. If I can stay out of the bathroom for longer than an hour, I'll be happy today. There's a 24 hour stomach virus going around and then there's another one that lasts about a week. I'm hoping mine is just the 24 hour one.

Ohhh... thats NOT good! We had a few of those going around the daycare in January, and I got the week-long one. Just HORRIBLE when you are preg. I have had a horrible headache for the last 2 days... but I know its weather related. I always get headaches when it rains. Sigh...
I know what you mean about treating your kids the same. My sis is 4 yrs younger, and she was/is treated like the fave by my mom. It bugs me even now, when I see what she gets away with and the favours she manages to get. I don't want to sound like a brat though... for the most part I have accepted that and don't really pay it much mind. But sometimes even DH will comment when something happens. Oh well.
On the up side... I am officially 20 weeks today... woo hooooo! Half way there!

I'm 19 weeks and 3 days and wishing it was July already. Between the baby kicking me and it being really uncomfortable already and this stomach virus or whatever that I have on top of these hormones....geez...I'm ready for July.

Well... my last prenatal appointment with my GP went well. The u/s came back perfectly normal... sigh of relief... It was nice hearing the lil guys HB again. Its gettin easier for her to find, although not always easy for her to keep... he moves around like crazy! LOL.
How are you feeling Isabellasmommy?? Hope the bug was a short one. I spent the day doing chores yesterday, and by the time I got to bed, my back and hips were absolutely killing me! Its gonna be a loooong wait til July! LOL... And the worst part is, we have to wait til the END of the month! LOL

I'm feeling better today, no more bug for me. Although today my hips and back hurt and I don't even know what I did to make them hurt. I let the dog outside this morning and noticed that one of our gates was opened (a gate that I checked last night to make sure it was locked) and when I looked at the other gate, somebody had pulled on the top of it to get to the inside lock to unlock and open it. I'm furious! But don't know who's doing it and I would call the police because this has been happening since we moved here in October, but they won't do anything at all, so it's pointless to call. I like the house, but hate the area. We are going to try to move before the baby is born, just hoping to find a place till this house sells.
