I'm already feeling my baby, not all of the time, just random times when I'm so relaxed and comfortable, normally really late at night. The first time that I felt it, I thought it was just gas, but it wasn't gas. Last night I was using my doppler to hear the heartbeat and could hear the baby moving around as well as feel it. It was really cool. Hope you feel your little one soon.

I just rented a fetal doppler online I get_t tomorrow, and I cannot wait to hear it in the comfort of my home. Did you find the heartbeat the forst time you tried? Do you have any pointers on an easy way to find it right away?

IsabellasMommy - January 27

I got my doppler when I was like 7 weeks pregnant, so no, I didn't hear it the first time. I didn't hear it until about 2 weeks ago (would have been almost 12 weeks). The best thing I can tell you is to start right below your belly b___ton by the pubic bone and do little movements. You will hear your heartbeat in various places in your abdomen, but the babys heartbeat will be a LOT faster. If your doppler has a digital display, yours should be between 80 and 100...the babys will be at least 120...my baby goes anywhere from 128 to 151. If you have heard the heartbeat at your doctors or seen the baby during an U/S, and you remember where they found the baby, start there, but if you start where I told you (below belly b___ton by the pubic bone) it shouldn't take too long to find it. Don't get discouraged if you don't hear it the first time though. If you do have trouble finding it, take the doppler with you to your next doctors appointment and see if they will find the baby with yours so you know exactly what it sounds like. Good luck finding the heartbeat. Let me know how it goes.

Hello all :) Well... I am still looking forward to feeling the baby move. Sometimes I think I am feeling something, but I am still not sure. Since I didn't really feel anything before 16 weeks with last 2 DC, I am thinking that will be the case with this one. Another week and a half to go then! My next milestone... is my 19 weeks ultrasound. I can't believe that I will be able to find out the s_x of the baby (hopefully anyway) in just a month!

i'm 17 weeks 3 days .. anyone else having braxton hicks??

IsabellasMommy - January 28

Babyblue, I hope you feel the baby move soon. It's possible that you are feeling the baby but because the baby isn't too big right now it just feels like a tickle or maybe like gas pains. The only time I really feel the baby is when I'm laying in bed late at night and I'm really relaxed. ~Mommylovesyou~ No braxton hicks here...thank goodness!! I had those for like the last 3 months when I was pregnant with my daughter. Have you told your doctor about the braxton hicks? If so, what did he/she say? How is everybody else doing?

Hey All, 14 weeks 5 days today! It seems that my tummy "popped" over night! I started feeling like my pants were tighter last week and then yesterday put on a tighter fitting sweater and was like "wow, where did that come from??" It's kinda cool. :) I have also felt a few flutters recently, not too often, but def. not gas, almost feels like b___terfly wings inside. wierd. :)

IsabellasMommy - January 28

I know what you mean about your belly just "popping" out. I didn't realize that I'm already as big as I am until my sis took a side pic of me and I was like "OMG". I look like i'm about 5 or 6 months already and I'm only 14 weeks. (This is my 3rd pregnancy though...) I can only imagine how big I'll be in July, my boyfriend kind of laughs about it because he tries to imagine how big I'll be.

isabellasmommy - i left a message with the receptionist today about the braxton hicks. i thought i had a yeast infection last week & my dr tells me to use over the counter meds like monistat 1 so i used that sunday night & waited it out a few days but it still hurt terribly so i figured id call to get a prescription for the external cream (because OTC external creams have something in it we can't use during preg.) & then i realized the past 2 or 3 days ive had to pee at least twice an hour (granted i know it gets worse in pregnancy but its ALOT worse the past few days) then i started having the braxton hicks last night so i started thinking maybe its a UTI. i had a urine a___lysis done today & shes sending it for a culture so im waiting on those results & maybe that might give me an answer as to why the braxton hicks have started

IsabellasMommy - January 28

I had a UTI about a week or so ago and ohh my, it hurt so bad, but by the time I got the meds for it, my body had almost gotten rid of it by itself, but I still took the medicine. Try cranberry juice if you don't mind the taste, or they have cranberry pills that you can take (check with your doctor before taking the pills but I think they are safe). If you're having braxton hicks that bad already, drink plenty of water of juice....I know I have a hard time with the water, but drink something that you can handle and lots of it. But you also might be having them because of the infection. I hope that things go good and you get meds to help. I had never had a UTI until this one and wasn't even sure what was wrong until I looked online. It felt like I had to go to the bathroom every 10 minutes, but it would only be a little bit because it hurt, felt like I was literally peeing a watermelon out of something the size of a needle. Lots of pressure and pain. I really do hope that whatever it is gets taken care of soon. Let me know how it goes.

isabellasmommy - it only hurts when i (TMI) wipe after using the bathroom or sitting in a certain position ill feel it very sore & painful on the outside i dont mind drinking water at all i love ice cold water!! but i admit i should drink more than i do although i drink at least two huge sports bottles a day. i love cranberry juice too so ive been drinking that. i feel so much pressure on my bladder like i have to go SO bad then its hardly anything at all & it happens multiple times per hour. its horrible!! the braxton hicks arent that bad just a little uncomfortable -- a feeling ive def. forgotten since DS lol i was just worried even though its my second preg. that 17 weeks is a little early

IsabellasMommy - January 28

17 weeks does sound kind of early for braxon hicks, but you might just be dehydrated and need to drink more water...and then no more braxton hicks? That's what I was always told anyway. It does sound like a UTI that you have. At first it was a lot of pressure and then it was pain after I peed, then went to pain and pressure while I peed. I really do hope the doc gives you something for it and it goes away soon.

mommylovesyou - January 28

since you had a UTI, how did they test for it? did they do a urine a___lysis? i thought but could be very wrong that they dip a strip in your urine to test the proteins or something like that? -- the only paid i have is when i wipe its sooo sore on the outside like i have tons of little cuts or something

IsabellasMommy - January 28

I'm not sure exactly how they test, I just know that I had to have the urine a___lysis done and then the next day I got my meds. But I do think that they dip a strip in it to test, but I'm not exactly sure.

mommylovesyou - January 28

UGHHH! i just want something NOW lol im tired of this! every other week its something new i swear lol
