Hey girls - Stef - at my Dr. office they start seeing you every 2 weeks starting at 30 weeks, then once a week when you get 38 wks til of course you give birth. I know every office is different, so it probably depends on the preference of your dr. Hope this helps you a lil'. I'm scared of the inducing thing, I don't know why but it kinda freaks me out. Does your labor move along as it would if you started labor naturally? Don't know much about that. Yeah Spring is certainly welcome here - today it's 30 with a wind chill of like 15. However I'm not looking forward to June & July heat while being pregnant. I bet I'll swell up like a balloon from the heat and humidity.

Well not to create any haters but it's a beautiful sunny 75 its' so nice out tomorrow I am wearing capri pants I am super excited except I only have one pair of capri's LOL HEATHER - inducing really isn't something to fear - I was no wear near going into labor when they induced me with my first son - I felt some gnarly contractions for a few briefs moments then I had an epidural and then about 6-7 hours later a nurse was waking me up saying she thinks it's time to push - don't be scared - and with my second I went into labor but still needed pitocin to keep progressing - don't worry it's all going to be ok!

i was induced with my son. like cors1wfe i too was not ready to go naturally. but as soon as they induced me i felt it big time. i liked being induced because then i could have family from out of town make arragnments to be here for the birth.

cors1wfe - February 28

That was one reason my doctor agreed and I was 39 weeks 5 days he wasn't worried had he not induced I am sure I would have been a week or 2 late and been induced anyway

Happy Friday everyone!! TGIF. Well I'm sure as hell happy that it's time for the weekend. I think we're going to ride around and look at baby "stuff", like furniture and decorations for babies room. I'm thinking lo is gonna sleep in the room with us for a few weeks until I get the hang of this. I don't want to start any bad habits like sleeping in the bed with us, but would like him/her close by at first. I love frogs, so I'd like to paint the room a very soft yellow and have Tom ( an unbelievable artist) paint a few pale green frogs along the walls. The rest of the nursery will be mainly neutral. I hope everybody doing well - what's up for the weekend ladies?

Good morning everyone! I am so happy it is friday. :) Heather, you nursery is going to look so cute. My cousin did a yellow and pale green nursery and it looked so amazing. That is so cool ur husband is an artist, the little frogs will make the room so special. My hubby and I are finally going to start looking at furniture this weeked. I am super excited to see all the options we will have. Rob(my hubby), put his hand on my tummmy last night when we were going to sleep. The baby started to kick up a storm, I was so amazing and he felt it!! He had the biggest smile on his face and was so happy he got to feel it move. Hope everyone as a great day! :)

Good morning everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I'll catch up a little later with you all. We are running out while my boys are in school so we can get some breakfast and go do the grocery shopping. Heatherjene, we are going to Shady Maple Smorgasboard, woo-hoo! Talk to you later!

Morning girls! TGIF!!! I think we may finish setting up the registry this weekend...hopefully! As for the nursery, I'm kinda bummed that as long as we live in the apartment the baby will have to share space with my office. The room is big enough, but I work from home and have a GINORMOUS desk and lots of equipment that I just can't move anywhere else :( I have a spot for the crib and changing table, but we can't paint anyways. The place is very nice and location is excellent, we also overlook the courtyard and an olympic sized pool and hot tub. It's too perfect right now to worry about buying a house. We are going to start looking over the next year though just so we can have more space. I love not having to take care of c___p that goes wrong though. My microwave messed up the other day and I called maintenance and they ordered a brand new microwave and put it in in 15 minutes yesterday. It is awesome! No cost to us...

Morning - i'm a few hours ahead of all you guys - that's why I'm usually the first to post everyday. Mari26me - that is so sweet that your dh got to feel the baby, I'm sure it makes him feel more involved now that he can actually be a part of the "feeling" process. Most men absolutely love to talk and "rub" baby thru the tummy - I think it's adorable! Amy - That is sooo not fair, I'm sitting here at work dreaming of Shady Maple - mile long buffett - breakfast. :( Hope you had fun eating all that good food while the rest of us do without! LOL. Stef - sounds like you live in a pretty cool place, once you do get a house of your own, you can paint to your lil' hearts desire. Besides that my baby will also share a room with the computer for now, I don't think they will mind at all though. =0) So- what's everyone's plans for the weekend? .... and where's Tina?

Isnt it frustrating the first times you feel the baby moving and nobody else can feel it but you!! my hubby has felt the baby moving once a few weeks back when he had his feet up on my tummy. im just over 20 weeks now and can't wait for the kicks to get stronger so he can definately feel them everytime!! does anyone know when the kicks get stronger?

kolleen_caudillo - February 29

Heatherjean- what cute idea for decorating. if u like frogs go to target. they have a matching stroller/carseat and play area that r frogs. it is so cute. Cat24 - i know how u feel. my hubby felt the baby move one time about three weeks ago. but has not since. sometimes ill be sttin there by him and she will kick me hard and it makes me laugh. so he will try to feel, but she stops moving. i read that sometimes when people touch your belly it is calming to the baby so they stop moving. AHHHH!!!! i still want him to feel her. mari26- my baby has to share my room with us. whicj is fine for a litle while. but im with u i dont want to start bad habits. we live in such a small apartment that i have to put all of the baby stuff in my living room!!!! i want to start lokking for stuff for the babys room but since she wont have one of her own for a while is kinda discouraging to even lokk. but i do go buy little things like clothes for right now. to all ladies - if this is my hoemones talking then u guys will all understand, im so grateful for this web site. it helps me to share things with women that are going thru what im going thru while im going thru it. thanks everyone:)

Hello ladies! I am not sure what my plans are for the weekend - I think I am pretty caught up on laundry thanks to my dh helping me during the week - I haven't slept good the past 2 nights so I am sure I won't be out running around - I am not getting too much stuff until my 26 week ultrasound and I feel a__sured it really is in fact a little girl...LOL what a fruity a__s I know - dude a mile long breakfast buffet sounds awesome!!! I love buffet scrambled eggs- I had to be here at 730 for fire extinguisher training - that was fun...NOT - I hate these stupid meeting at 730! My girlfriend has drill weekend (she's military) so I am not sure what I'll do I need to go through some more boxes etc and start getting my sc___pbook room organized. I am having a baby and my first priority is to get my sc___pbook room organized...LOL oh well - So I had dinner with my mom last night and I walked into her house and she has started packing - her normal picture cluttered walls and knicknacks all gone and ...I just burst into tears - now it's real that she's leaving - so I am crying and she starts crying and we are both crying then we are laughing - it was pretty funny after we were done crying. My boys were looking at us like what the heck is wrong with you two. CAT - I know exactly what you mean - I have been feeling the baby since about 15 weeks or so and no one else could feel it and then one night we had brownies for dessert and she was doing back flips or something my whole belly was moving - he was utterly amazed - he likes to feel her and I have told him the best times to feel her are after I eat or drink some cold water

cors1wfe - February 29

Heather I love your frog idea that sounds cute .....Kolleen that is not hormones I know I feel the same about this website! I think its' great that you guys don't want to create bad habits - co-sleeping while they are very young is probably ok so dont' beat yourselves up if your lo ends up in your bed in the first couple of weeks sometimes that is the only way we get good sleep - just be careful as they approach the 1 month mark - then it can become a habit - I feel bad I have an actually room but no desire to paint! For you guys who don't just remember having your baby is the most important thing and they won't remember what their nursery looked like ...LOL OH OH OH my mom gave my baby blanket last night and my sister who pa__sed away baby blanket plus a few blankets my great grandma has crocheted - I was so touched it's funny that she hadn't given me my baby blanket before..LOL oh I am happy to have it now

Mari26me - February 29

has anyone registered yet? if so, where did u guys go? My baby shower is not until the beginning of June, but I was thiking maybe I should start my registry now. Then we can add to it slowly.

cors1wfe - February 29

I am not going to register until later- being this is my third I am leaning toward a meet the baby shower and having it after she is born. Since my mom will be here for a few weeks after Megan arrives I want to have it while she is here. My best friend is being a little difficult about it she wants to do a traditional shower and I said - too bad this is the way I want it.
