Yes, this pregnancy was rocky for about 6 weeks but once I was into the 2nd trimester and out of the "danger zone" for that SCH, it has been a very good pregnancy, save for the minor blahs here and there. My first pregnancy was amazing start to finish. I also didnt' feel that dropping sensation, LL. Even though I was huge, I wasn't too uncomfortable until like week 38 or so. So I can't complain..it just sounds like it's been miserable for me, but I really love being pregnant and if it wasn't getting harder on my bod, I'd do it over and over again. :)

Good morning ladies! Not much to report here except it's cold in Texas. And by that I mean 34 degrees. Yes, I am a wimp, ha! u/s yesterday went well. The babe was waving at me and mostly had his/her arms and legs up around face. Everything checked out good, so I see doc back in 3 wks and if my cervix is still behaving, it will probably be less u/s till delivery. BabyMakes7 I know you and the "committee" lol are still debating names. Anybody else nail anything definitive down? Have a great day!

Hi all, I've had braxton hicks all day. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm a little nervous!

I get Braxton Hicks here and there: probably several a day. I get more if I've been particularly active, doing a lot of housework, or whatever. With my last baby, I was starting to get scared, because I was having so many contractions around this time. But I think they were mostly due to a UTI that I was fighting. Once I got to my doctor and got some antibiotics, the contractions lessened.
I was out of town all weekend. My husband took me to a cabin in the mountains, and my mother-in-law watched our girls. It was nice to have some time to relax for a while. But now I've got the post-vacation blues! So much to do tomorrow. . .
Jessica, it's good to hear that your ultrasound went well!

I don't recall having BH in a pregnancy before. LOL could this mean I'll go spontaneously at some point rather than have to be induced again? That would be a treat. Some of them were strong. It's been mellow since.
How's everyone? LL, a getaway sounds wonderful! Glad that you relaxed. :)

I think I started getting BH with my first pregnancy around 27 weeks or so and it scared me until my doc explained what they were. With this one, I have felt them occasionally from like week 18, esp if I'm not drinking enough water or I'm driving down an especially bumpy road. They can get quite uncomfortable, but I guess its the uterus gearing up for the main event! I also had to be induced around week 40.5 with my first. I so wish I hadn't though.
LL, that sounds like a sweet getaway! I'm dying for DH and I to just get away to a movie and dinner. We did date nights quite a bit before I got PG with this one. We're way overdue.
Off to bed...night ladies!

I ate wayy too much Super Bowl-ish type food yesterday. Ugh! I am not looking forward to my weigh in at the OB's this Wednesday. Ahh well...300 extra calories or something like that. :) Hope everyone is having a great Monday and feeling great. Anybody almost in the 3rd Tri? We'll be switching this thread pretty soon!

I hit 26 weeks Thursday. When is everyone else moving up?

I'm not due until the end of May, so I still have several weeks to go before I hit the third trimester. I guess I'll move up whenever everyone else does, though.

LL, I've got a late May baby too, so I still have like 4 weeks, but I'll be happy to move early. :)
BTW, where are all the May Mommies lately?

I'm happy to move up anytime you're ready. I have been lurking on the third trimester board, lots of interesting info!
Hope you're all well!

Hey, all! I guess no one has had much to say recently. Ready to move up to the next trimester board?
I found out that my husband scheduled a 3d ultrasound for me. (Next Thursday.) I'm all excited now, and it seems a million years away.
Today I finally found an affordable toddler bed. I can't afford to buy lots of new stuff, especially since my kids are just going to thrash it all anyway. So I try to find good deals on used things. Hurray for Craigslist! I've been looking for several weeks now, and today I got an almost new Winnie the Pooh bed for $25. I'm so happy to have gotten that out of the way. Now I just have to get my daughter used to staying in it. I know she's young, but her older sister moved up at this age, too, and it was a surprisingly easy transition.
I also was pleasantly surprised to find out that I can fit three carseats into the back seat of my car. I thought they'd never fit in there, and I'd have to buy a minivan.

Hey LL, I had pretty much given up on this thread. :) Glad to see we have a pulse! I think one of the girls started a new thread on third trimester. Come on over girls!!! We're in the home stretch
