your welcome Citrouille, I think you will end up having the perfect pg belly also like Lucky with as thin as you are, it is already the perfect little buldge!!
I on the other hand am showing all over :0(. I am going to see what the dr says today, I am so MAD that at 19 weeks I will not ge getting my u/s, and I was looking so forward to today until I found this out last week.

Cit and new mom, you have to have more blood taken? YIKES. I had blood taken when I first found out I was pg and that was it.

Hi Beth, the reason they took blood from me is because I got the afp test. I think they take more blood around 28 wks. I am 21 wks.

I'm having blood taken again because I'm not immunized against toxoplasmosis and they are really paranoid about that here. Plus, I'm getting an HT21 test done (I don't know what that is in English.) it is the blood test that tells you whether you are in a danger group for having a baby with downs syndrome

I think that is the same test. It is the test that tells you your risk of having a baby with downs.

Cit, I took that test on Monday and it's called an "AFP' Test here. It has something to do with the amount of protein that the baby is producing. Too much could mean Spinal Bifida and too little could mean Down Syndrome (I think) or Vice Versa.

Hey Lucky1, I was really scared to take that test because I have heard that there is a lot of false postives.

OMG! Beth, I just realized that you were saying your appt. is today. Good Luck!! It does suck that they won't give you an u/s today. I don't understand that. Thanks for the compliments on my belly... You all make me to feel better about getting so big..... So I'll be back tomorrow....

I opted not to have that blood test done. I just read on another post that a woman is freaking out (and rightfully so) because it came back positive. I have heard so many horror stories about false positives, I decided as much as I worry, I didn't need it as I will love this baby no less no matter how it comes out. I wish you all the best of luck though!!! Okay, I am starting to confuse everyone now!! Kara is 16 weeks, Jennifer is 24 weeks and new_mom, how far along are you? Cit-15, ekay-16, Lucky-18 Beth-19. Hope I didn't forget anyone. Did I get it all right?
