Well its undeniably 2 boys!!! I had some candy before my appt to make sure they were moving around and it worked. They are measuring perfect, my fluid is perfect, cervix is perfect - I am SO SO excited. Dylan James is 11 ounces and Connor Joseph is 10 ounces.

Grats Ashley2121! I'm glad you got to find out and everything went so well. I think it is understandable to feel a little disappointed over gender if you are hoping strongly for one or the other. I have seen a number of posts on this site where that is the case. As long as the baby is healthy though, that is all that matters, and when you see that little face, you will be thrilled. I am not likely to be one for a week or so ladies, as we are moving to a new house (to make room for baby #3). Hope everyone is doing well.

WOW its so quiet in here! How is everyone doing? When does everyone plan on stopping work? Do you plan on going back afer your baby is born?

I am a hairdresser and my shifts are between 7-9 hours on my feet, and it's starting to become very painful! At the moment i am working 3 days a week and in school 2 days a week, but summer semester will be over at the end of this month! I don't want to quit work till i have to, but i might have to cut my hours a little. After the baby gets here i plan on working some and finishing my nursing degree, as long as a relative can watch the kiddo. I don't want to put it in daycare, and frankly don't want to pay for it either.

Aww a good friend of mine is a hairdresser too and she just had her 3rd baby. She was also saying that it was hard to stand there for so long and so cut back her hours as well as taking a few clients here and there in her home. Is that an option at all for you? I am home ALL day and will be home ALL day when baby comes. I did my nursing degree as well after my 3rd child and have only worked a few months as a nurse lol but its something that I love and will always have so I'll go back to it one day *sighs* I miss working...

I'm a geologist and work with a consulting company. Luckily, I've been able to avoid any field work lately, but even sitting upright at my computer 9 hours a day has gotten REALLY uncomfortable. My OB did mention that b/c of the twins, I would likely go on bedrest in the 3rd trimester. That would be nice...I'm hoping to work part-time after the babies get here, but we haven't worked out all the financial/medical aspects yet. In this economy my company may not even want to hire back any part-timers...

My last day is July 30th. Its early but I am so uncomfortable and want to enjoy some time off before the boys come. Although as the date gets closer I am freaking about about the financial aspects of it. Even though we have prepared ourselves for this its very nerve wracking. But I figure with us moving this fall it will be nice to pack some things up before I am too big :)

Hi Ladies! Well we have moved to the new house now, and slowing managing the unpacking. It was so exhausting. I'm on vacation for the rest of the week so at least I will have some time to recover. Hope everyone is doing well!

How is everyone doing? Does anyone else feel like time is going by so slow? I thought it would go by fast after we found out the s_xes, but I was so wrong. It has me worried for how slow it is going to go by when I am done working! soontobmomof5 - How was it going to school after having kids? Dylan and Connor are due in November and I will start school full time again (online) in January - I am so nervous about how I will be able to handle it all - I am kind of a perfectionist :) Well I went this past weekend and registered. By the time we got to the 2nd store my feel and legs were killing me. I tried to grin and bear it but I just couldnt truly enjoy it. Eventually I had to give up and went online and finished it up. My baby shower is August 29th and I cant wait. I am trying to resist the urge to shop until after the shower so I can buy the things we need. How many of you ladies are going to be 1st time moms? I was talking to a friend of mine this weekend about how nervous I am about everything. She has 3 kids and can relate..... Oh yea and my SIL has offered to make me a complete nursery bedding set. So we went shopping last week and picked out all the fabrics - I cant wait until its done so I can see it!! I am so happy she offered to do it, I couldnt stand anything I saw for sale in the stores; this way I got to pick exactly what I want.

I feel like things are going quickly, but I also feel like I still have a long time to be pregnant before the baby comes. This is my second kid. I'm nervous, but mostly about how I'm going to manage (seriously, some days I can barely get out the door with the one kid I do have). My friend offered to throw me a baby shower, but I'm not sure. Yes, I want to celebrate the coming of this baby, but I feel like people might just see me as asking for gifts, which I don't really need--I have most of what I need left from my first. And Ashley, I didn't find any nursery bedding that I liked either, so I'm planning to make mine (nothing fancy--I'll make a crib skirt, curtains, and maybe a decorative pillow). We're moving next week--so excited! We've built a house and I can't wait to get all of our stuff moved, plus then I can start setting up the baby's room.

Okay, in my world time is standing still! Or, maybe its the fact that my other kids are on summer break! My pregnancy is going okay (finally) and I am only having to visit the dr. every two weeks. I don't have an appt until July 29th and then its another ultrasound (full detail and also the heart one for baby) followed by dr. We have three kids already so we're in the process of moving oldest son to the bonus room to make room for baby. I've already got the baby's furniture and I bought the papasan swing from amazon just a few weeks ago. I also found a baby monitor that has two cameras and two receivers so that I can watch both dd who is 22 months and baby just by switching channels. What a good idea! Cost me a ton but I'm sure it'll be worth it! I am also not having a shower, I figure by 4 people will not be nearly as excited to celebrate with us:( I need everything though since I gave it all away after dd. Oh well! I would go go go while you can and you're feeling good! Once your bones/hips/crotch start to ache you'll slow down on your own:) Maybe, hopefully, that'll make time fly by! It just seems that November is still so far away. Maybe its because I'm sitting in the air conditioning looking at such a beautiful day. I work part-time and I'll continue to do so once baby's born. I am a mortgage broker and also I prepare taxes. Not sure if I'll be doing the second one this year, gonna see how it all goes. I am a little freaked out about handling/juggling 4 kids and all the activities that my two older ones do. They are busy all week long and I am freaked about toting not just my dd around but also a newborn... I'm sure it'll all turn out but its scary! Soccer, karate, dance, gymnastics, awana, etc. Ughhh!!! I'm tired even thinking about it!

mm28 - July 15

Gloria, I cannot even imagine handling 4 kids. I'm sure you will be quite adept at it since you have been juggling 3 already! I am getting nervous about having to juggle work and raising twins, but mostly I'm just excited and anxious. Time seems to be moving at a snail's pace! I had a detailed sonogram this morning that was really neat - my girls are healthy, and both have long, strong legs, evidenced by their kung fu ability to kick non-stop!

prayn4baby - July 16

Hey girls! Well, i had my 20 week ultrasound on Monday and that was just about the coolest thing ever! It's a boy!!! We are very excited! Everything looks normal and is measuring right. I do have a question though.... the ultrasound tech said that he weighs a little over a pound at this point. All the books and web sites i've looked at say at this point he should weigh between 9-12 oz. She said that she thinks the books are a little off. Did any of you find out what your baby weighed at this point?

Ashley2121 - July 17

prayn4baby - Congrats on the boy!! Have you thought of any names yet? I had my u/s at 18w5d and my boys were 10 oz and 11oz. I believe they gain almost 1/2 pound per week after 19 weeks (I'm almost positive its 19 weeks). I would rather have my baby measure a tad bigger than smaller :) Oh I also read that u/s are not always 100% accurate when it comes to the weight of the baby(ies) because of the fluid in there...... As long as your dr is happy with the progress of your little boy everything is ok :)

Anyone still on here? How is everyone doing?
