Anyone still on here? How is everyone doing?

prayn4baby - July 28

I'm still here! I'm doing good, except sometimes in the middle of the night, i'll get some major pain in my whole belly and it's hard to change positions. I don't know what the deal is but it's only happened in the middle of the night. I found out today I get to have another ultrasound on Aug 10th!!! At the one i got a few weeks ago, the tech told us that she was having a hard time getting a good picture of the whole spine cuz he was moving so much. So she said don't be alarmed if they want you to get another one, and sure enough they do. I'm excited cuz i thought i wouldn't get to see him again till he was born! How is everyone else?

I'm still here! Nothing new to report, i don't have another ultrasound until next week. I'm still getting stabbing pains under my ribs from the kicking/stretching/pressure of the girls as they grow. It's getting harder and harder to work 8-5 at my desk job, where there's nowhere to lay down if the pain gets really intense. I made a promise to myself that if I can get through August, i'll go on short-term disability for September. Counting down the days....what are all your plans for working? Any other news?

Ashley2121 - July 29

Nothing new is going on with me. Just tired from not sleeping very well at night. My last day of work is on Friday and I CAN NOT wait. I also work a desk job but I am so tired and stressed from it. How far along is everyone? When is everyones shower if you are having one?

prayn4baby - July 29

I am 22 weeks 4 days.... My mother in law is having a shower for me on Sept 20th and my mom is having one for me on Oct 10th. Time is flying, Sept will be here before we know it!

mm28 - July 30

24 weeks, 4 days....several friends of mine are throwing a shower for me on Sept 12. All my family is on the east coast so I won't see them until after the babies are born.

gaer - August 4

Wow, showers already! I guess with twins tho earlier is better.. My partner booked me a 4D ultrasound the 14th of August, he just cant wait to see what we are having!

GloriaD - August 5

Yeay, its August! I'm counting down the months..... so pathetic! I'm at 23w 4d today and I can't believe how much growing I've done in the past month! I am starting to feel huge, and I know that this is only the beginning. Its so amazing how big your belly can get. I had another u/s and baby is 1lb. 4oz. and his heart scan/fetal echo showed he is 100% healthy so no genetic heart conditions were pa__sed to him (that's what I have). Oh, and the placenta has moved up enough to deliver v____ally. I am not having a shower:( I just feel like on the 4th child people won't be too perceptive. I need everything though since we thought we were done. I've been buying stuff already and I think the only thing I don't have is a carseat. Oh, and clothes/diapers, etc. We started moving our oldest son out of his room and into the bonus room to make room for baby, so hopefully over the next couple of weeks we can finish up the move, clean the carpets, touch up the paint, and set up the nursery. School starts in a month and I've got so much to do: school shopping, soccer, dance, karate, gymnastics, awana, etc! Time is gonna fly by! Got the glucose stuff and have to drink it on my way in to my next dr. appt. fruit punch this time! I don't know how you two carrying twins are doing it, its gotta be squished in your bodies right now! Oh, and at my u/s she tried to catch a 4D image (my first ever 4D) and the little man would not cooperate. He kept his face turned in so the best look I got was his ear... darn it!!!!

Ashley2121 - August 5

I have thought about having a 4D u/s...I may still look into it. Dont worry GloriaD your not the only one counting down - I however have started counting down weeks. Since twins are considered full term at 37 weeks I figure I got about 13 weeks left. When I think about it like that I get excited but on the other hand I get SO anxious/scared. mm28 - Since our due dates are creeping up how have you been feeling realizing that you are about to have 2 newborns to take care of? Most of the time I am calm about it and then it will kind of hit me, like when I realize how much more stuff we need and how I am going to try to b___stfeed both of them..... Hope everyone is doing good!

mm28 - August 5

25wks3days and counting! I did the glucose test this morning - it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting - and PASSED with flying colors! I then promptly rewarded myself with IHOP chocolate chip pancakes - is that bad? I'm jealous, I would love a 4D ultrasound. Can't complain though, i got to see the girls again today and one of them was yawning - cutest thing EVER! Gloria - I'm right there with you on counting down the days! 4 weeks left of work, 6 weeks until my shower, and 11-12 weeks until the babies arrive...we also scheduled my c-section for Nov. 2nd "just in case" the babies haven't arrived by then (doubtful). Ashley - I have definitely started to freak out about the 2 babies thing, mostly practical issues like how do you b___stfeed/bath/change two-at-a-time? Luckily my husband works from home and my mom will be up the first 6 weeks so there should be plenty of hands to help...but still it is overwhelming. I told the nurse I was planning to "wing it" on the double b___stfeeding thing and she said I was insane...so maybe I'll take a cla__s or two ;)

gaer - August 7

I hated that glucose test... so gross. Since having the girls I have become very intolerant of refined sugars, so I have no idea how they will do a glucose test on me. I can only use honey, maple syrup or things like that...imagine drinking maple syrop! LOL. My Dr said he would find a way... Just a week till the 4D. Amazing! Not long till we all have our babies really...

Ashley2121 - August 7

I have my glucose test in 2 weeks. Not looking forward to it. My dr said that women pregnant with twins tend to get gestinonal diab. more often than women with only 1 baby, so we shall see. So I figure about 13 more weeks at the most (37 weeks is full term with twins). So nervous & anxious!!

prayn4baby - August 8

I am having my glucose test on Monday, and i get to have another ultrasound too! The tech wasn't able to get a good pic of his spine last time so i'm having another one, i'm excited because my mom and sister are coming to see this one! Not looking forward to the glucose drink though!

GloriaD - August 10

I think I should be locked up until I'm doing being pregnant!! I'm so grouchy that I am driving myself crazy! My poor hubby and kids..... I don't know why its so bad... I'm stressed out about everything..... money.... school clothes shopping..... the stuff around the house we're doing.....the stuff around the house that isn't getting done.... aghhhh! I finally got the baby's room cleaned out today. That was a relief. I went through everyone's closets and have a huge amount of clothes to take to goodwill... Its all so overwhelming though. Seriously I think I'll die pregnant! I've done this 3 times before so why is this one soooo hard????? Oh, started getting braxton hicks already. Also having some of that uncomfy hip pain while sleeping. Its early this time so I'm not too excited to have it all happen for the next 3 months:(((( I hope everyone else is doing better than I am...

Ashley2121 - August 10

GloriaD - Sorry your so stressed - hopefully things get better. Each pregnancy is different, maybe this one is just the most hormonal one you have had :) When do you ladies consider to be in the 3rd trimester? I have read different things and they range from 24w - 29 weeks.....The most common one is 27 weeks

JulieK - August 10

Hi Ladies! Sorry I haven't been on in awhile. Life has been crazy busy. We are pretty much settled in to the new house now, so I can start the baby prep stuff soon. GloriaD-I hear you on the horomonal stuff. This is my third, and it has been the worst. My husband said he can't wait for the baby to come so he can get his wife back!! We are going for a 3D/4D Ultrasound on Saturday. Hopefully we will find out the s_x for sure this time. Can't wait to see the baby's face, I hope he/she cooperates. Ashley-I always though week 28 was the start of the 3rd, but yeah the lines between any of the trimesters seem to move depending on the source...lol. I will be 27 weeks on Friday. I get BH contractions here and there, but every single time I walk for more than a few minutes at a time they come on. I though maybe the weight of the uterus was causing it? All I know is it sucks, I am huge, and in full waddle mode. I am starting to get a little sensitive to everyones eyes bugging out when I say I still have 3 months to go too. Bothers me more than people rubbing the belly..lol!
