Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing great. The morning sickness for me seems to have good and bad days. Today is fine, yesterday was bad. I went with my husband and the kids for a walk in the beautiful sunshine yesterday, the kids played at the park, and then we all came home and had some water. Mine stayed down about 30 seconds....lol. Oh well, it will all be worth it.
This is my third, and I had to move to the maternity clothes a couple of weeks ago, as I broke a few b___tons. I am 14 1/2 weeks now.
Has anyone felt any quickening yet? I know its early, but I can't wait!

I am also 14 1/2 weeks, and this past weekend I felt the weirdest bit of movement - it happened when I sat up quickly in my chair, and it felt like a bubble or something really low in my abdomen. I've had plenty of muscle cramps and gas bubbles, but this was nothing like those. Since these are my firsts I don't know what it SHOULD feel like but hopefully I will feel more soon...!
Just FYI for those wondering about 1st to 2nd trimester transition...technically the first trimester would end about 13wk 3days if you were going strictly by gestation, however, many doctors consider the 1st trimester to end once you hit 12 weeks, b/c the risk of miscarriage goes down DRAMATICALLY at that point, so it is a major milestone in a pregnancy.

Hi! My doc appt yesterday went great. The heartbeat was 156. I am scheduled to have my next ultrasound on 6/22... too bad we are going to be surprised and not find out the s_x... unless it is just right there in front of us when we do the ultrasound, might be kinda hard to miss! I think it is going to be fun to be surprised though!
I still get little moments of nausea, but for the most part, much better! I have borrowed a lot of maternity clothes from some friends, I am trying really hard not to buy a whole lot this go around, especially since I had just gotten rid of all my maternity clothes about a year ago!! I can still fit into all my clothes, but they are starting to get a little tight around the belly area. I am definitely showing, but have only gained 3 pounds soo far. 14 weeks, 1 day, today. I had lost some weight right before finding out, so some of my clothes were a little baggy in the waist area, so it is working out good for right now!
Well, gotta get the kiddos in the bath and ready for bed in a little bit!

Its like I hit 12 weeks and popped out overnight :) I wore a form fitting t-shirt yesterday and it was SO noticable, I kept waiting for someone to ask me when I was due (but I didnt go anywhere new) :) Well now I am 12w3d, at 1st time was flying by but the last week or so it seems to have come to a halt. But the past few days I have felt really really good.
mm28-I swear last Friday I felt a flutter and it stopped me in my tracks. I know its really early to feel anything but I have heard that with twins we are more likely to fell them move sooner. So its possible. Are the twins your 1st?
NB-WOW you have some willpower! I think the reason time has slowed down for me is because I am counting the days until I can find out the s_xes. I could NEVER EVER wait. I am way to a___l and like to have everything planned before hand. I know most dont find out until at least 16 weeks but I have heard you can find out sooner. Since I get u/s every other week I am hoping I can find out real soon. The suspense is killing me. It feels like I got a million things to do but cant do a single one until I find out what I am having :)

NB - Waiting for it to be a surprise is a great thing! It is definitely the best surprise in the world! :)
As for me I've had 3 of these surprises lol so I am finding out this time as it is our last and we are really hoping for a boy...there are too many girls in our house and I feel bad for my son being stuck in between us all, all day!
I am 15 weeks tomorrow and still not into maternity clothes which is really weird for me, I also haven't had any m/s this time around which is really weird for me as well. (Don't get me wrong, I've definitely had my share of m/s with the last 4 kids!) Hopefully this is a sign that we are having a boy?!
My 2 youngest are going to be 17 months apart...YIKES! My 2 oldest are 16 months apart but this time I have all the other kids to take care of too...Thank goodness my 8 yr old is a mother hen :) But this house is going to be CRAZY!

Wow, yes 5 will be a handful but wonderful too. We are having our third. Husband said no more after the last one, but then oops. Now he's freaked...lol. It will be great though. All boys so far in my family....maybe a girl this time?
I can't wait until my ultrasound in June, cause I had a dream a couple of weeks before I found out I was pregnant that I was pregnant with twins. I laughed it off at the time, then found out I really was pregnant. Wouldn't that just send hubby over the edge...lol! Oh well, we shall wait and see. Either way I am very excited.

Im not sure how i could be further, I know for sure when I had my period.. I measured small for dates with one of my kids and had a 9lb 8oz -er so, Im not too concerned..

Hello! I just had my first ultra sound today. It was just a quick one to find out how far along I am. We had guessed 12wk 5 days but actually we're 14wk 4 days! Woo hoo! I go in in a month for the big ultra sound to check everything out so I can't wait. We heard the heart beat and it was so awesome. My boyfriend ended up posting "There is something growing inside Melissa and it looks like an alien." He's such a dork sometimes. Just wanted to share my joy with others.

Ashley2121: I have no idea when the ultrasound will be... the clinic has to call me once they have my dr.'s referal. I think that in itself takes a few days... still, he said if he tried to get me in here it would be weeks. Im hoping that means Im in next week. I think they should give ME THEIR number, haha, Id already have an appointment made. :)

The maternity pants at Motherhood are awesome if you're willing to spend the money. The entire top, all the way around, is elastic. Its called the comfort band (I think) and its so nice because whether you're big, small or just uncomfortably bloated they fit. I couldn't live without them and now I won't buy any other maternity pants. Especially because in the end when you outgrow maternity and feel like a house they would still fit:)
mommy of 5, thankyou for being on here!! I need the inspiration:) I also didn't find out the s_x of my first and really at delivery I found I didn't really care what it was. To me it was an alien since the whole birthing thing was unreal until I lived it myself. After that I've found out and its helped me to get to know the alien in my belly!! And Julie, we were done at 2 also. Then we had an oops that is almost 2 and now here we are again! We took permanent measures this time though:)
I won't have the s_x determining ultrasound until July 7th so I have a while.... kinda sucks, I'd sure like to know sooner:)

So yesterday morning, my 3 year old woke up with a few spots on his face and torso. I thought, well not likely to be chicken pox because he has been vaccinated, but I should keep him out of school just in case. Took him to the doctor and yes its chicken pox. Today its everywhere, although he isn't that bothered by it yet. But I am pregnant. My mom says I had them at about 6 months old, but the doctor is concerned that at that young I may not have built up an immunity, so he is having me tested, baecause chicken pox while pregnant can lead to birth defects???!!!! Now I am freaking. Anyway have any expereince with this, where everything worked out all right? I am looking for some encouragement?

JulieK-I dont have any experience with this but I am sure everything will be fine. Just get tested by your dr and try to have someone else care for your son (probably easier said than done right?). How soon will your dr know your results? Just stay calm and dont worry about it until the dr gives you something to worry about. Please keep us updated :)

13 weeks today!!! Wooohoooo! I'll consider myself 2nd trimester now! I'm bought a few pairs of maternity capris at a used clothing store and they are the most comfortable things ever! I can still fit into some of my normal clothes but not everything. JulieK...... how many weeks are you? I ask because i just found out that i have lost my immunity to Rubella and I was researching what would happen if i got infected. The risk for the baby goes way down after 3 months, so i wonder if its the same with chicken pox? I would be very cautious and call a dr asap. I also had a very light case of chicken pox when i was very young and am worried that i could get them again. Good luck!

Julie- I got the chicken pox back in 1997 on my honeymoon! At the time my boss was pregnant and I exposed her. What we learned is that the farther along you are the better. She was in her 6th month and nothing ever came of it. You can try to keep your distance but good luck with that. This stuff is airborn and I'm sure you're already exposed:( With the vaccine at least its a lighter case..... just listen to what dr. has to say and try not to stress out, it won't make it any better. Be happy that you're out of the first trimester when it could be most damaging. I hope it works out that you stay pox free and all this worry is for nothing:)
Prayn - i'm right there with you! I just rolled into week 13 yesterday and I finally feel justified in being in this forum! Still not feelin' 100% but I'm hopeful I'll get there soon. I got the MMR booster right before I got pregnant with my first kid. I didn't even know that you needed a booster as an adult! I just happened to make an appt. with the dr. to talk about getting preggo and then I found out. Good thing most of the community is immune so your odds are better.
