Hey everyone, 16 weeks today! I went to the doc and heard a little heartbeat and she said everything is where it should be. Bummer though, I dont get an ultrasound until Im 20 weeks and my DH wont be here. Hes going to be on a training mission for 4 weeks. On top of that the hospital wont allow kids in the room so I have to put my son in daycare for it. I asked the doc about my weight and she said its nothing to worry about because Ive gained ok according to their scale.

hi patience..i was 16weeks on 15april too...due October 2nd- you must be the same day as me! It's a shame your husband won't be able to come to your 20 week scan. Do they let you take a dvd/video with you and take home a recording of the scan? Places here do- so maybe you could do that? I know it's not the same but at least your husband will get to see it eventually. Are you going to find out the s_x? I have my next scan on 2nd May- i'll be 18 weeks 4 days then...and 4 days after that I'm off to Thailand for a relaxing 10 day holiday..I can not wait!!! Just hope the scan goes well so i can go away and relax!! How is everyone this week?

sorry next scan is 5th of may not 2nd.... too many things too remember...too much pregnancy brain!

HEEEELLLLP--- hey ladies, things have been rather hectic lately. My almost 3 year old daughter was exposed to fifth's disease at daycare. I am 14 weeks today and scared out of my mind. I am a worrier by nature anyway, but this doesn't help. After my m/c in October and getting through the first 12 weeks with this one, I took a big sigh of relief. Not anymore. Her exposure was mild, but now my daycare provider's son has a red face - unsure why. I HATE not knowing. I have of course bugged my doctor and had a blood test, but this waiting game stinks. My husband doesn't know what to say, so he doesn't say much!!! I am just worried and scared. Don't know what to do. Any advice?? thanks :)

Hi Joey, I dont know if they allow recording at my hospital I will have to ask at my next doc appt. Im definitely finding out the s_x though. I have a little boy now so I need to know if its a girl so that I can look at girly stuff. Im actually due Sept 30 or Oct 1. Its confusing though because I think of being 16 weeks on tues but other people say its 16 wks one day. Either way we are pretty close! Im finally starting to show too! Are you?

Becky...that is so scary...I am sorry you have to be so worried. Just try to relax a litte- if at all possible- about it. I was exposed to 5ths disease with my last pregnancy and the test came back fine and they said more than likely I had already been exposed to it in my life and was immune. GOOD LUCK. Please update us! Patience that is great! Sorry your DH can't be there. I like Joey's idea though. Maybe you could video tape it. Otherwise could you bring a family member? My mom came to one with me when i was PG with my son and it made her day!! I am jealous you all are getting yours so soon. I don't get mine until May 30th!!! Joey I am feeling great! I am over the hump- 14 weeks tomorrow! I am not finding out the s_x of my baby (even though you didn't ask! haha!)

Ejmeskan, dont feel too bad, my U/S isnt until May 16th. Unfortunately since my husband is military we live on the other side of the country from our families so Im pretty much alone. Ive made friends here but there are all leaving this summer so I cant depend on anyone. We are still trying to figure out what will happen when I go into labor. I dont want my son there (hes only 2) but we do not have anyone we trust to watch him. So.....we are going to try to fly my mom out for about 2 weeks around the end of my pregnancy. I hope she is here for the right day!

Where do you live? I live in MN. I wish I could help out! Hopefully your mom will be there. Do you guys have neighbors you trust? Well don't you go cheating and jump on the Sept board...you are with us girl!! Ha!! What's your son's name? Mine is Jacob!! He turns one on May 14th! Fun!

hehe you are right Patience, I realised last night that I'm actually 16 weeks on the 17th not the 15th...so yes we are still very close....but! Sorry Becky, I don;'t have advice as I have never experienced that before...when do you get your blood results? Let me know what happens....hoping you're all ok :-) What a tricky situation to be in Patience. I also have a little boy- he will be 2 this July....so they are around the same age and I can imagine how you must be feeling with regards to going into labor and not being able to leave him. He's too little to come in the room with you, I agree....it would probably scare him seeing you like that...plus they run wild at this age! hopefully your Mom can join you and it all goes according to plan. Would they induce you if you asked? Just so that your Mom is definitely there for the birth? I know being induced isn't the IDEAL situation however, at least it saves the other worry. ejmeskan...hehe, did yuou find out the s_x with your little boy? I didn't with mine...but..I have my scan coming up in anbout 2 weeks and think I will this time. I loved the surprise with the first but I just want to know this time! We're not telling anyone we found out though- except you girls. I have a feeling I am having a girl....just like when I was pregnant last time I had a feeling it was a boy- but who knows, I could be completly wrong!!! Patience yes I am definitely starting to show...I feel a lot bigger this time than with my first. Are you feeling the baby move? I have at times but not constantly just yet. Ejmeskan...your kids will be close in age!

Joey- we didn't find out with my son. I am not sure why I am so set on not finding out again...I mean I will find out in Oct anyway! ha! It's weird I have the same feeling that its going to be a girl and we were the only 2 (DH and I) that were convinced it would be a boy even though everyone else though girl! Who knows though. I would LOVE another little boy! But eventually want my girl too so as always- healthy is all that matters!!!! Yes - close- 17mo!!! A little sooner than anticipated but it was bound to happen!! :) It will be busy but fun I am sure!!! I have felt my LO move I felt a ton at 12 weeks when I thought I was crazy for feeling it but now and just get the little jolts here and there...they are not at all frequent!

ejmeskan, I live in Colorado. My littles boys name is Ryan. He'll be 3 right before the little ones born. So my wonderful luck, I think I have pink eye. One of my eyes started bugging me last night and its pretty bad now. Im thinking I need to call the doc and get some drops. I need to stop getting sick this pregnancy!

Oh I love Colorado! It is SOOO beautiful there! One of my dear college friends is out in Colorado Springs! What a bummer about the eye! Yikes! Let us know what the doc says!!!!

Hi girls, glad your all ok - well beckryn did you find anything out abut the fiths disease? I hadnt even heard f that so im sorry i cant offer any help. Let us know what happens. Well my dh is back so we have spent a few days enjoying each others company and its been so lovely. I missed him so much. We went for a scan on friday and were hoping to find out the s_x, but no, the scan lady said it was a little early to tell. So we have to wait 2 more weeks. But everything was fine with the baby, moving about, still measuring 3 days ahead and 152bpm, so everything totally ok. He looks so big now on the scan!! And we can see he has my nose and he was smiling just like dh!! It was so sweet. So, glad a few of you are feeling better, i am still having dizzy/sick days but mostly just tired. Dont seem t ever get enough sleep! I guess we are all feeling like that still! When does the great 2nd tri actually kick in as im 16wks now and im not feeling it!! xxxx

good to hear from you Miss P...what is you due date again? I have a scan in 2 weeks and am hoping to find out the s_x so I hope they don't say the same thing to me! I have to say that I have finally entered the lovely part of pregnany. I am awake, my skin is glowing, my hair is shiny...althought I feel fat!! hehehe...I feel beautiful! I am 16weeks 2 days....so....hopefully any time soon you will get the same thing happen to you!
