Yes- it was those weird shell cup things...quite frankly the only thing I felt like was Madonna in the 80s!!! Pumping was my best bet but really it was only about at 10-14day struggle and it was done - I continued to nurse for 8+ mo so I am HOPING it won't be a problem this time...I no longer have inverted nipples if any of you wanted to know! :)

Hey everybody. I havent been posting much but the baby has been kicking like crazy. I could see my belly moving last night. Right now he has hiccups I think. It is the first time Ive felt them this pregnancy and I forgot how weird it feels!

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for such a warm welcome! It's great to find people going through everything at around the same time as me!
EJ and Alison, our Ely will be pronounced like Eli, but it's funny you should mention the other pronunciation. A friend of my husbands last name is Ely , (whom I believe he got the name from) and he pronounces it Eelee. Now I know why! : ) Also, congrats on the great u/s EJ! I know what a relief that can be! And to Catsmommy, congrats on the little boy! Isn't it exciting! We already have a daughter, also, so we too were thrilled to get our little boy, finally! Our daughter will be 11 this September!!!
By the way, when did you guys start being able to actually see the baby's movement? I can feel him moving around, but still not able to see or feel from the outside. My daughter is going crazy waiting!!! : )

Hi October mommies, my name is Ashley, i just signed up! I'm due on 10/10 and so far we believe we are having a little girl! At my 20 week U/S the baby was lying spine up so it was difficult to see, but the doc said she was 80% sure, but at my next visit they will another u/s to confirm. I can't wait to get to know some october mommies!

Hi everyone! My name is Beki. My due date is October 31st and this is my first pregnancy. So far so good! I finally got over morning sickness last week and am "popping" finally. I go for my u/s next Thursday and I can't wait to find out if it's a little boy or a little girl!!!! :)

Hey Beki, it's really exciting to find out the s_x, i thought the day would never come, and it did, and now they are not sure lol... but i'm happy though, cause that means that i get an extra u/s that i wouldn't have had.. so good luck. when do you find out??

So there are a lot of new girls on this board. Just curious, it seems like almost everyone is having boys! I see one girl jnfr...and one maybe girl with Ashley. Isnt it usually the other way around? Saird I just saw your comment about you having the best husband ever. lol As long as we think they are the best I think we are truly lucky!

Patience i think you are right about that boy thing, everyone i know is having a boy right now.. in fact yesterday my friend just a big boy.. 9 healthy lbs... i can't wait to meet him
most people were sure i was having a boy, and the only reason i was leaning towards a boy was because we had the perfect name, and now we can't seem to pick the perfect girl name, it's much harder.. lol.. but we are super excited either way

Ashley, I totally agree with the name thing. Before we knew what we were having I was sure it was a girl and we were having the hardest time with names. Found out we were having another boy though and are pretty sure we know his name.

hahha...funny! I think this year is definitely the year of boys! And for some reason I had such an easy time picking the boys name but we found a girls name too so we're lucky. Now all I have to do is make it until June 12th to see what it is- HOPEFULLY! lol....

I might look into getting the cup things too........................Amymay yes that sounds a great name Ely thanks for clearing up how it's pronounced! ;-) I think it's a really nice name good choice! Wow sounds like you've hd a long wait for your little boy I'm so happy for you he is on his way! We had a wait for our first but not as long as some (had 3 miscarriages before she came along she was born 2 years to the day from the first loss) Your daughter must be so excited and I bet she'll love helping out with Ely! ...........Ashley ooh exciting that it might be a girl I hope they can be more sure next time for you! ..........Beka yay on the sickness being gone, I thought mine had gone but have still been queasy and am occasionally sick but not every day like I was before! Looking forward to your scan next Thursday and seeing what you are having :-).......................Patience your comment about boys & girls made me think of my group of antenatal friends. When I had my DD they had a reunion of the antenatal cla__s and only a small number of us showed up, out of that group 4 of us meet up regularly and we all had girls! ;-).......................Well I won't know the s_x of our baby as they don't tell you here they have a policy where they won't tell you the s_x so we have no choice but to have a surprise but that's ok we would probably have a surprise anyway even if we could find out it's fun! When Grace was born I held her & cried and kissed her for a good minute before suddenly thinking "hey is it a boy or a girl?" as they hadn't said (it was a bit frantic at the time as I'd been pushing for 2 hours & they wanted her out asap so they didn't shout out "girl"!) I was so relieved my baby was finally here I forgot about the s_x lol! It's funny though I had a gut feeling all along I was having a girl. This time I don't have a gut feeling either way :-) Only 2 more sleeps until my 20wk scan I am so nervous the closer it gets I am just praying so much that our baby is ok and the extra fluid before was nothing and he/she is healthy and well. xxxx

Alison, where are you that there is a policy against knowing the s_x, it's actually kind of neat, i would love to be surprised, but having the choose, i just couldn't not know..

Alison- a friend of mine from this forum last year when I had a son lived in Canada and they had the same policy where they couldn't find out. I never quite understood it. I know I am way off from you all but I love love the surprise of not knowing!!! It was so exciting with my son and the anticipation is great! I can however completely understand why people are so excited to find out right away too! Heck if we have the technology- why not use it!!!!! I am really looking forward to finding out the s_x of our baby too!! Just not for 4.5 more months!! :) Have a great night ladies!
