I'm six weeks pregnant and have been feeling this pelvic pressure for about two weeks. My doctor was concerned that it was the cervix dialating, but upon checking, it wasn't. Don't know what is going on, but it is really bothering/worrying me.

I had pelvic pressure early on and asked my OB about it. She said it was due to weak pelvic muscles, common in women with multiple pregnancies. She also said it would improve around 16-20 weeks when the uterus lifts upright more. Some days I feel like someone is standing on my pelvic bone. Exams show my cervix to be closed and all is well on U/S. I suppose there are different reasons and causes. Hopefully it's nothing serious. I'm crossing my fingers that mine improves soon. I'm 15 weeks now.
Best wishes to you

I'm 37 weeeks. All that pressure is just your ligaments stretching. Mainly because the baby is growing. The bigger the baby gets the more pressure you'll have. Advice: exercise, drink plenty of water, and don't sit or stand for long periods at a time.

I am so glad to see that I am not the only one!! This is my 2nd preg. I am 19 weeks and feel like the baby is trying to come now!! I don't remember this til I was overdue for my first. I wonder if this time it's a girl, since the myth of girls carrying low?

I have the same problem and I am almost 13 weeks. I have had this feeling for quite a while now and my doctor says it's normal. My feeling of pressure comes when I walk around too much in a day. Once I sit down, it goes away.

I was told the pressure could be linked to a multiple pregnancy. I've been having it a lot and will have a sonogram done soon to find out if thats my reason for my having the pressure:)

I am 20 weeks and it started last week. Like someone else said though, it's not throughout my pelvic region, it feels like the baby is sitting on top of my cervix. I know the baby is low because sometimes it kicks me in the b___t.. I am going to the doc on thursday & will make himj aware.. everything I have read says that this is normal part of pregnancy & most start to feel the pressure of the baby around 20 weeks.

I have been experiencing this unbeievable pain for months now. It was how I first found out I was pregnant, I am now 31 weeks. My last child was born at 32 weeks, she is now 10 months old and i am expecting again. All of my doctors have told me this is a sign of preterm labor, so all of you take care of yourselves and try to relax!

I too have this problem with pelvic pain.
Sometimes it has to do with the position of the baby. It is also said to be normal on multiple pregnancies.Believe me it is very painful, try laying on your left side and drink plenty of water. ALSO let your OB kmow .

If you feel alot of pressure as if the baby is pushing on your cervix to the point that it is almost painful, it is always best to call your doctor. This happened 6 months into my last pregnancy & I had already dialated 2 centimeters by the time i got to the drs office. If I hadn't gone, i would have lost my precious little boy. I was put on bedrest & we were able to hold it off for 2 more months. I am 14 wks now & starting to experience pressure again. Remember ladies, this is not something to ignore!! Trust your instincts & if you feel uncomfortable about it ALWAYS call your doctor. Good luck!

I am 14 weeks pregnant and have had pressure on what I think is my cervix for the last few days. I feel it mainly when I stand up. I can't really describe how it feels - it's almost like a bubble is trying to push through from deep inside...anyone else feel that way
