The scar is not very big or that bad, I just thought it would be so satisfying to have the opportunity to actually be the one who was bringing my child into the world. I find it very disapointing that I will most likely end up just going with a c-section. I really was looking forward to having the oppurtunity to go through the process of labor. Knowing why it was happening and having Mike there for support, then the immense satisfaction when the baby gets here bacause I did it, not some surgeon. But a healthy baby, and a healthy me, are more important. It is just so unbelievably disapointing.

don't worry and don't be disappointed... at least you know your hoo-ha will be the same and there's no chance that s_x afterwards will be like throwing a broomstick down the hallway right? - okay, so leave it to me to make stupid jokes to try and make you feel better... but really, a healthy you and baby are A LOT more important than the feeling of accomplishment etc...

My girlfriend just gave birth last friday and her first was a c-section, this was was normal labor. She said with her 3rd she will definately go with a c-section because she tore, and hemorrhaged a little bit. But the healing with normal labor is much faster than c-section. I'm terrified of regular labor but my Dr. will only do a c-section if there are problems. If you are even thinking of reg. labor make sure you do your kegal excerises and the message thing down there after the 35th week... these both help with a much smoother labor and less complications.

hi gals................just reading all the posts...........how r ya?

Misty - May 6

Mike just got up and took me shopping to get a new work shirt. My old ones were getting too small since I had had them taylored to fit perfectly pre-baby. Very nice of him. Maybe I'll give him a little whoo haa later tonight. :-) He gets home at like 4 in the morning so he just doesn't get it that often anymore. Sorry but I just don't want to wake up in the middle of the night for it. And before he goes to work the baby is awake so.....maybe tonight though. :-) Show him he should buy me stuff more often. :-)

I also picked out a name for a little girl if that is what we end up having. What do you all think of it. I haven't swung it past Mike yet. Amber Rose Neely

Misty - May 6

No luck Jess. Re-write? :-)

jess - May 6

i guesss a rewrite...............forgot all i said though...........ha.............misty i like yer thought about the lady aborting with downs..........what if they were healthy babes..........as far as a c section goes i am a scheluld section......due to my small sizee, a fibroid and 2 previous hip surgeries, its kinda nice 2 know what i am in for at least.......lol......i hope...........anyone lost weight????/ my tummy is growing.......lots.......but my scale says i have lost 3 llbs???

Misty - May 6

It would have been nice to have stayed the same weight up til now, but no luck with that one. My baby only weighs about 5 ounces right now so it isn't like it is the baby putting all the weight there. I have gained 6 pounds so far throughout my 17 weeks. I am pretty proud of it though, considering my little addiction to Hershey's Hugs. :-) Was just kidding about the re-write too anyway. I lost a couple of posts before, but I just don't have the patience to try to re-think what I put. :-)

I like that name, it flows nicely! rb - the message is a v____al one and it's apparently in the pregnancy books, maybe in the What to expect when expecting. I havn't read it yet - just heard about it in Yoga cla__s and a friend. But from what I know it should not be done untill week 35 or so. Oh, I just noticed you are gone home - well hopefully you will get to read this bit of info. :o)

jess - May 6

6 lbs sounds abot right...............maybe its my c___p scale, i havent used it in years and now everytime i step in it its different,,,,,,,,,,no, i cant rewrite either...too much work...love the name. misty...im still thinking of a good middle name for jordyn for a girl........tara, r u in bc too??/

Misty - May 6

How about May or Lynn. Other then that I would have to thin about it. But the y in Jordyn makes me think it would look good for the middle name to have a y in it also.
