I am 16 weeks pregnant and I have been having sharp pains in my pubic bone area. Is this normal?

I am 16 weeks too and I too have them occa__sionaly..once every week or so.,.. and they last for hardly 5 minutes ....I read somewhere else that little pain is ok... but if you have them for longer period of time or more frequently.. check with ur gynec..
