Just curious when second time mommies started to show! I am 12 weeks and although I can tell that I am getting a bit more round, no one else notices. I am just looking fat! lol, I was small to begn with so I am hoping to pop out early and feel this lo move early too. I felt movement at 15weeks with my ds. I am so excited to be pg again, and wish people werent doing double takes on how "bloated" I look!

I'm feeling the same way and I'm at 12 weeks as well with my second. Though, if I eat a big meal my stomach gets bigger. I've always had a round b___t, too, so now both ends are sticking out and I look just very fat. lol.

I was feeling the same way until about 14 weeks. I am right at 20 weeks now and you can def tell I'm preggers. I'm not a lil girl though. I ask my doc about it and he said that most women do show sooner with their second!

I'm 12 weeks w/ my second too and I'm definitely starting to show. My tummy is biggest at night or after a big meal but it's definitley there. It's really funny. Mostly though, I just feel fat and bloated. I was pretty skinny before I got pregnant and mostly everyone knew at around 8 weeks that I was prego cause my belly was popping out and normally I never have a belly. Good luck to all of you!

I just think it's amazing that something sooooo small can make someone look soooo fat. lol. I mean, what do the charts say? 12 weeks and the baby's about the size of a lime??? LOL. I must be having a watermelon variety of lime. Seriously.

I actually feel smaller this time around. I had my first in August 07 and I am now almost 28 weeks pregnant. I gained 53 lbs w/my first. I gained all my weight in my b___t and thighs...just to put it in perspective, I am normally a size 6 and after delivery I was in size 14 pants! Fortunately I lost all of the baby weight prior to getting pregnant again, but so far I have gained about 22 lbs and I don't think I was showing any quicker the second time around.

Well, I've only honestly gained 4lbs so far, but I still feel fat. I make it sound like I've gained a TON, but no, I haven't. ;) With my first by this time, I'd gained about 12lbs or more....ugh. I'm definitely doing better. How much has everyone else gained?? Is it more or less than before?

I too have only gained 4-5 lbs(at 13 weeks). The first time I had already gained about 15ish. Everyone tells me that I am smaller than before... but I still feel fat. I am so bloated. I guess I am doing pretty good considering my 53lb weight gain the first time around. I am hoping to gain around 40ish this time. Im not worried to much though because I lost all the weight the first time so I dont think this will be much different. I am determined to fit into my clothes again by next Xmas. We'll see!!!

Lol. I gained 60lbs my first time, too. I'm trying to keep it in line this time because I *didn't* lose all of my weight. :( I lost 30lbs of it and kept the other 30 for nostalgia...I guess. LOL. I'm honestly hoping to just gain 30-40lbs. Maybe I should take my daughter to the park more often so I can chase her. That'll do it!

Im sorry you didnt lose it all...but with a little one it will be harder to sit around and gain! I am on my toes all day with my 22 month old. I reallly want to keep it down so that I dont feel so fat after birth. I felt like a hog after I had my ds... He was 8lbs 10 oz so I immediatly lost 20lbs but the rest was all in my face I think..lol! I was so swollen.... Im not looking forward to that!

OMG Starlight...I gained 53 pounds with my son too! I felt AWFUL towards the end and right after birth felt so fat still! I retained so much water...everywhere! I lost a bunch right off the bat too, but then I think I just got so disgusted with myself, I ate well and worked out religiously and it all eventually came off, and then some. I hope I don't gain as much with this one, but sometimes even when you do all the right things it happens. As long as I and the baby stay healthy throughout, I'll worry about losing the weight after the baby comes. I know I can do it cause I did it the first time. Oh and Starlight- my son was 8lbs 14 oz! We had big boys, huh!? How was your delivery?

Yes we did have big boys.... My son was 2 weeks early(I was induced) so I cant imagine how big he could have gotten. My delivery was ok, I had bad tearing and trouble delivering the afterbirth which caused a lot of bleeding(for a long period of time). Also I lost spinal fluid due to my epi, which caused my brain to "sag" as they say. I had a horrible headache for weeks. They ended up trasfusing blood into my spine(2nd epi) to close the leak, but it was a horrible experience. I couldnt b___stfeed b/c I had to lay flat on my back to keep the leak under control. BUT with that said the epi is worth the pain releif, b/c after 21 hrs of labor I had nothing else to give with out it! But my son is worth EVERYTHING I went through....and obviously Im doing it again! lol, The weight thing isnt really an isssue...I would raher not gain as much, but I know I will be able to lose it if I do. Im not too worried! How was your delivery?

OMG Starlight! That sounds awful! I'm so sorry you had to go through all that. I never realized that an epi could cause that. OMG! Well I'm glad you got through it, and I'm with you on the epi..it's so worth having it b/c I don't think I could've done it w/o it either. And now you've got a beautiful baby boy to be thankful for. It's all worth it. As for my delivery- it was pretty bad too...thank God for the epi! I was doing ok until they realized after about 3 hours of pushing that my son was face up and they wanted to do an emergency C section on me. I tore badly then the doctor cut me to ease things along I guess. My doc thought I was a really good pusher and didn't want me to have the C, he thought I could push him out, but they ended up needed to vacuum him out and when he came out the entire NICU staff was waiting for him. He was blue and not breathing. The cord was wrapped around his neck but not too bad...the doc said he came out just in time. He was in distress b/c every time I pused him his forhead hit my pelvic bone and b/c of his position it was very difficult. He was born w/ a bruise on his forhead...finally I heard him cry and they put him on my chest only for a few seconds then wisked him away to the NICU for tests while I got st_tched up. It was very scary but totally worth every minute! He's my little love! And he turned out to be just fine. And now we're doing it all over again! lol- maybe this time it'll be easier for us :-)

Yup for some reason we are doing it again! lol, they are worth it. I had the same thing happen, my ds heartrate was dropping so they said 10 more min and your having a cesarean. I was like HELL NO I am not. I had the vac_mm also and tore very badly ontop of the episiodamy. I cant believe the easy birth stories I hear after how dramatic mine was! I hope I get that easy birth this time...and you too!

I sure hope so!! We deserve it after what we went through! Everyone keeps saying that that won't happen again, so I hope not. But honestly, they are worth it. What you get out of it in the end is amazing and isn't it crazy how as soon as they put that baby in your arms, you completely forget about all the pain you're in.
