Hi everyone, I'm 15 1/2 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I have had severe morning sickness since about 6 weeks. I am 5'6 130lbs. I lost 5lbs in my first trimester and am still having trouble gaining it back and keeping on weight. I have no appet_te at all and try my best to force myself to eat even though I feel extremely nauseas. Any suggestions on gaining weight and increasing my appet_te? I am concerned for my baby and need to start gaining soon. Thank you for your help.

Does your dr. know about your weight loss. If he doesn't go to see him right away there is a safe drug you can take while pregnant that is a wounder droug it stops siskness and gives you an appat_te. I had the same problem as you and lost 6 lbs my first trimester. You can't aford to loose any more weight in your second trimester you need to act NOW! the name of the drug is DICLECTIN it is quite pricy but it is a miracle drug I've gained 8lbs in two weeks. I strongly suggest you talk to your DR. about it.

I too have lost weight during my first trimester. I am 15 weeks pregnant and have lost 10 pounds since finding out I was pregnant. I have been eating heathier and exercising. My doctor said not to worry, that is common. Most women experience morning sickness and lose weight in the beginning. You're still at that point where food is somewhat "icky". You'll get over it and make up for it later with weight-gain. My mother lost 20 pounds from morning sickness and continued to gain weight later in her pregnancy and still had a very heathy baby. Please do not take any drugs. I don't care what doctors prescribe, drugs are unheathy and unnatural for the baby. Are you taking your prenatal vitamins? They upset my stomach and now I take them before I go to bed. Hope this helps and don't worry, five pounds is nothing.
