This is probably really stupid............. I went to the ER when I was almost a 8 weeks along but they were measuring me as 5 days behind. Is that the date I should go by?

Usually the early ultrasounds are the most accurate - and are what doctors will go by. What date did your OB give you? My dates change every time I get an u/s and I've had 3 now. But, the earlier ones are most accurate. Don't know if that helps but I don't know if you had been given any other date.

According to my lmp my due date is 8/23 but accorsing to the ultrasound I am due 8/28. I have only had the one done.

I'd go with the u/s date - it's just an estimate anyways. They say it can vary between 2 weeks either direction. :)

i had a u/s when i was 7 weeks pregnant, they told me im 6 weeks pregnant i argued the point, i kjnow when i ovulated and concieved because i had a internal scan the day b4 and after my egg released at a fertility clinic, so at 11wks they said they will tell, and i was right. they told me a fetus can rapidly have a growth purt within a couple days even, so so early in pregnancy its hard to tell exacly. unless you know when u O'ed and such.
