Dont know if we need to or not, we had quite the breakthrough yesterday lol. Preggie therapy I love it. Hope you all are doing well today! I have the big u/s today. I guess the ones I have been getting are just to check to make sure both babies are still there and kickin, but this one I have to go to a whole nother office and stuff. This time I am almost positive I will be able to hear the heart beat....cross your fingers I havent heard them yet. I am so excited! I am only like 15 weeks and I dont know if they can tell the s_x this early or not. Oh well, as long as we make sure they are ok, then I am happy. YAY!

Congrats to you Robyn! I am 14 weeks with twins. I had an ultrasound early on and heard the heartbeats and they my last appointment I heard them through the doppler! It was so amazing! I still think that it is to early to find out the s_xes. I think you can find out around 18-20 weeks. Good Luck!

Thanks jb, are you excited about having twins? I am still on the fence about it. I mean I go back and forth and some days I feel like I am losing my mind and I cant handle it, then other days I am just in aww and so happy. Prolly just hormones. Oh well, cant wait to hear the heart beat today!

That is so exciting, Robyn! I pretty much live for u/s these days.... what time do you go? are you coming back to tell us how it went?

Robyn - May 3

No, its at 1:30, and she said it is going to take longer since there are two in there so we will see. I doubt it though, I will end up just taking the rest of the day off. I want to try to figure out how to put it on a CD and maybe get it onto my piczo? Wouldnt that be awesome to have video on Piczo? Then you can all see my little peanuts. LOL Man I have a headache today. Hey D, have you heard the old orange juice thing? They say if you drink OJ before an u/s the babies will move around a whole bunch more. Is that true? I wonder...maybe its all the citric acid in it or something?

penny - May 3

Robyn, ask them anyway to see if they can tell or give you a % of what they think they are. Most cases its 16 weeks or later that they can tell. I would be so excited as well!! What time do you go, and will we get an update today or tomorrow???

D - May 3

Well.... I suppose as long as you tell us tomorrow.... :) I think the OJ thing is because of the sugar. With a person who is having a problem with low blood sugar, a quick way to boost the blood sugar levels again is to drink OJ. So, I'm guessing it is because the sugars in OJ get to the little ones quicker, and puts them on a little sugar high! :) (Phew! I hope that makes sense... its hard to explain without using technical terms! Maybe Misty can help... since paramedics are trained to deal with hypoglycemic shock. --- I'm going to feel really stupid about now if Misty isn't the one who is going to be a paramedic...)

hope you don't mind me jumping in here. Robyn is this your first u/s? It's such an amazing experience. I wish I knew about the OJ thing when I went for my ultrasound because my baby was sound a sleep and turned around so we could only see the back side. :o(

Congrats Robyn!!! I have another doctors appointment on Fri. but it does not involve an u/s :-( I am almost 17 weeks so I guess I will be getting those tests for downs and whatnot soon. I am nervous about them. Good luck with your u/s though. You must be so excited.

Misty - May 3

I hope RB is o.k. She doesn't appear to have been on here yet today.

D - May 3

you are welcome anytime, tara! the more the merrier...

rb - May 3

i'm alive - but barely - think i have a cold but am trying to get some work done this morning before i go home to sleep - sorry i didn't check in yesterday - you guys probably thought i was lying face down in a gutter somewhere... robyn i'm so excited for you - yeah, drink OJ cuz when i went for mine, baby was moving all over the place and we got to see "it" from every angle.. i hate that - maybe we'll call him or her jr. for now... <sniffle, cough>

Robyn - May 3

Dont mind at all Tara! This isnt my first u/s, the ones I have had before where just little machines they wheeled inthe the office during a checkup, this one I have to go to a whole nother office and get to tape it so this must be a big deal! The last time we went in and saw the u/s one of the babies was just chillin and the other one was doing summersalts and stuff, wouldnt sit still for a picture! LOL And I didnt drink any OJ that day lol. Its probably ADHD like its daddy! LOL Thanks D, the sugar thing makes sense, I know I get all hyper so I know my babies have to be too lol. Hey Misty I was thinking the same thing .I hope she is doing ok. She left early out yesterday and no one has heard from her since. Poor thing. Maybe she slept in today. We have all had those days!

Robyn - May 3

Aww...get well soon rb! We were all worried about you. Not so much face down in a gutter, but maybe pa__sed out in a bowl of ice cream or impaled on a peperoni stick...lol Glad youre still alive and kickin! I am excited too, so I will keep you all posted.

Misty - May 3

Hey Hey...alive and kicking I see. I need to go shopping today. :-( Not really thrilled about it. Groceries...nothing thrilling about buying those. I also neeeeeed to wash the car. You would think the wheels on my car were supposed to be black, no hint of silver comes through. Oh yes, I played the lotto yesterday for the first time in like a year. I am so excited. I know I probably won't win anything at all, but it is still exciting waiting around to see what the winning numbers are. :-) Ohh well, I have to go start getting things done. Good luck today Robbyn. Glad you are still breathing RB. And welcome Tara.
