2 Weeks Late

I'd be curious to know the blood test outcome too. I'm starting to think I need to make a dr's appt b/c I was suppose to get my af feb 4th and still haven't. I got two BFN's from first response a couple days ago. Do you think I'm way beyond first response tests and should try something else? Maybe my body hasn't produced enough hcg either?

jm...I would try a different test. I don't trust first response anymore. I also think maybe you should get a blood test as well that way you know for sure and don't have to sit and wait. I am sick of waiting and wondering. I need to know so that we can make plans. My DH is going nuts too.

I was thinking the same thing JenE. I don't want to spend the money just to get another BFN. I'm also thinking of making a dr's appt. Why don't you trust first response? Did something happen w/ it? I don't want to wait either b/c there are so many events going on lately that I kind of need to know if I am.

I have heard so many different sensitivitys for first response. No one really knows how sensitive it really is since First Response doesn't list it anywhere. I had two N tests and three faint lines on a different brand. So who knows. I think a blood test is the best option.

Thanks JenE! If af does not come this week I'm going to have to make a dr's appt. I can't stand this waiting!

Hey Ladies!!! I tested this weekend with first reponse and I got a BFN!! I found out that first reponse is only 84% correct with normal HCG!!

Ladies if you want to check out reliability of tests go to www.peeonastick.com It compares various brands and has pictures of test sticks.

Hi... I'm new to this forum thing, so please bear with me if I don't do this right! I have been reading this thread and am very curious because I am 3 1/2 weeks late now. I was having symptoms early on: nausea, fatigue, frequent urination. Now,. my b___sts are very sore, my pelvic area feels "full" and tender, and I have a lot of crampy, sharp pains that go away with OTC painkillers. The kicker is that I had a tubal ligation about two years ago and my doc said that my urine PG test was negative last week. Is it possible to be pregnant and still get neg PG tests this far after my last period? BTW, my doc also checked my thyroid to make sure that wasn't the cause of the symptoms, it's normal.

you are not gonna beleive this.......i am just over 2 weeks late as well..... took a test ..came back negative.....so i made an appt. with my physician for next week just to be sure...My first pregnancy , i had no signs of being pregnant, and i have no signs now...Just reaffirms that we are all unique. Very helpful to know there are others who are going through the same...Keep smiling:)

Yeah 2 weeks late makes you 6 weeks pregnant . It does go by the 1st day of your last AF.

tish - March 28

the gestational age of the baby is the first two weeks that you are pregnant. which would be the two weeks after you concive. not the two weeks before conception. you can't be pregnant 2 weeks before conception.

Emma2 - March 28

Tish- You are 100% completely wrong...You are considered pregnant starint when your NOT from 1st day of your last menstrual period. If you would like confirmation ask your dr. or do some research on the net. I am 6 weeks and I concieved 4 weeks ago. I know exactly what I am saying.

JenE - March 28

I was confused about all of that as well. Lin explained it to me but it still doesn't make scense to me either.

Lin - March 28

Tish, Emma is right. The standard is to go by the first day of your last period, but that a__sumes a 28 day cycle. It's most accurate to say that your gestational age starts two weeks before you ovulate.

Emma2 - March 28

Yeah it doesnt make sense logically because how can you pregnant before you concieve right? But it is the way they calculate 40 weeks of pregnancy. That is the way all drs. calculate. I guess they do it because they usually calculate your conception date from your last menstrual period. When I was told about by my OBGYN she herself said "i know it doesnt make sense but thats the way it is"... Lin was 100% correct . I concieved 4 weeks ago and I am 6 weeks pregnant.

JenE - March 28

It doesn't make sence but I do understand
