I haven't had a period since august and it was extremely light and short, I've gained weight, been neaseaus, very emotional yet taken two home pregnancy tests that read negative. Is it possible the tests were wrong or could stress just be causing the same symptoms being pregnant can cause??

It's always possible the test is wrong with a negative (never with a positive). In some women the hormone doesn't build up enough for the test for months. You could ask for a blood test as you should find out why your periods have stopped anyway.
